CAG Warhawk Night [TBD]

Good games everyone. Hero is a lot of fun, and collection was starting to grow on me once I figured out how it works...
It says I can't join the game. You guys playing with boosters?

we weren't but I just lost the connection and don't see the server anymore...
No boosters... and I had to restart the server because I tried doing the "Turn off mic" thing...
When I turned off the mic it killed all the sound.

Then it didn't save my map list, so I had to set up another.

Then I tried just tapping the button once, to turn it "off", and that worked... for about two hours (I think), which is how long my mic works without turning off and on.

And... I don't know if I was late... I'm not sure what clock is off... When I started the server my computer said it was a little before 10, but my ps3 said it was like 10:10...
Those were some good matches. Hero and collection really become more crazy on smaller maps. Also good sniping!
Collection was great on the smaller maps. Am I the only one who misses some of the other game modes. I think TDM is way better than hero. would it be possible to mix some TDM and CTF back into the games.

I will try smaller maps for collection next time I host.

Price of Warhawk is now $30 in retail and download.

I was only doing Collection and hero so that everyone that joined, regardless of time, could get in on some of the new modes.

I'll mix it up a bit more next time.

Also, I won't be able to host this Saturday... I'll be on vacation in VA.

Metaly... feel up to hosting Saturday since I won't be able to? If not we may have to cancel. (click on the spoiler to remove my shades)
;)
It's never too late... :grouphug:
Exactly, we will play Warhawk for a LONG time. :D

I heard from a friend GAF Warhawk isn't as active, so maybe we can beat them now. ;)

I'm busy at the usual game time on Saturday, but if you guys don't mind starting later than usual (probably 8P/11E?) I could put something together. That is, if you or freaky aren't around by then.

If we're looking at playing other clans, we should try setting something up with the GAP (Sony's Gamer Advisory Panel, not the clothing store. ;) ) They were hands-down the nicest team we encountered during the GGL fiasco, and they played at about the same level as us. I think they'd be up for it, but it'd probably be best to wait until the mic issues are resolved.

Schedule
Friday
Host: ManaKnight
Server: ManaKnight
Pass: shaqfu
Date: 8/1 (OMG, it's my sister's birthday)
Time: 10pm EST

Saturday
Host: freakyzeeky
Server: freaktown
Pass: shaqfu
Date: 8/2
Time: 10pm EST

Not sure yet if I will have boosters on the last map or two.

I kind of enjoy this game, but random matches aren't much fun. Get killed a lot and nobody talks. The headset is a bit crap, too. Maybe If I'm bored on a weekend I'll try and find CAG warhawk.

Make sure you everyone isn't muted. For some inane reason my Warhawk will mute everyone in room sometimes on some servers and I have to go unmute everyone. But sure play with us, we certainly talk but the killing won't stop.

Yeah, I'd vote wait until the mic issues are resolved.

Saturday night warhawk is usually a lot quieter than Friday night. I blame TMK... He just gets everyone talking.

Double fuck!! I guess I should stop skipping over all of freaky's posts.

There are some who probably have that one problem where the headset cuts out between matches right now (because of the recent update).

(So wait... my posts gets... s-s-skipped!? :whistle2:o

I have never gotten my headset to work for talking. The camera works, but I try to keep talking to a minimum for risk of feedback issues (I also have an incredibly loud air conditioner). Clan wars would convince me to get everything working well though.

Saturday is also COD 4 night, which may take some players away from warhawk.

I actually did mean muted. There is a mute option. I would have never had noticed, but a while back I joined one of the official servers and was playing and it hunky dory and I had to go do something, so I pressed the start button to pause(Yeah I know it doesn't work, but it's an ingrained response to having to do something else) and it brings up the scores, but everyone had little icons next to their names. So I go through and unmute everyone and blam-o, people are talking and chatting and what not. Now this was a couple of updates ago but everytime I play I always check. Sometimes a person or two I haven't met before is muted, or sometimes the entire room. I think it might have something to do with the headset. So I'll try using my new PSeye for a while.

Anyone else feel a breeze?
is there a room to practice for noobs?
I'm not sure what they are calling the servers now for that, but yes there are basically servers for newer players. I would definitely recommend checking them out to get a little experience in the game.

With that said, I'd like to think we are a pretty noob-friendly bunch since we are playing the game casually in our clan games.

I really need to be home on a weekend sometime again. I miss CAG Warhawk nights.

I will miss the games thie weekend - no, the eathquake we had here in SoCal did nto kill me lol. But I have family that flew into Los Angeles today from Michigan and are currently held up with my mother. I wonder if they were here for the quake... now that would be funny stuff! Poor Michanganders! :booty:
Was the quake strong SoCal? I heard it was like 5.X on the Ritcher scale at work... :cold:
Ya it was like a 5.4 or something - not big enough to do real damage, just random stuff falling and such. A 4.0 will set off car alarms if that helps you figure out how strong it was. The Northridge quake back in 94 was a 6.7 and the Frisco quake was 7.1 back in 88 and both of those did major damage. I was actually in Northridge for that quake back in 94... yikes!

And it turns out my relatives from Michigan did get to experience the quake, they were parked in a car about to go someplace. So while it was not the true experience (you get that in a building) they still felt it. It was just east of LA and it was felt here in San Diego and as far as Las Vegas. I wonder if they want to go back to Michigan now

Looking at the plans for the week there is a very small chance I will be able to play n Friday, but I doubt it. :whistle2:|

I was 3 years old when the '89 quake happened here in Frisco, so I don't really remember it. Only thing I do remember is a car rolling away in my neighborhood, and hitting another car (my mom said THAT was from the quake)... That was scary shit for my young, feeble mind.

As a West coaster, I don't care about quakes below 6. Unless something serious happens(road closed due to damage or a death) I don't even see how it's news anymore. I've slept through worse.

Has anyone with 2.42 tried playing online yet? Did your headset last more than an hour?

QFT!

The friends that were with me during the quake were flipping out, as long as the roof doesn't collapse on me I'm alright with it I guess

Who needs a dualshock 3 when you have real life rumble? :applause:

And if anybody has not updated to the new 2.42 or whatever it is - do it now before the match, it was a pain in the ass for me and it took 2 days for to DL it :bomb:

Played last night but not with a headset. I might try to hook up with you guys since I just started playing this again.

I ended up downloading it from Sony's site and doing the install from my USB drive; it was A LOT quicker than waiting for the thing to download through PSN.

Once the headset issues are (hopefully) resolved, anyone want to have another couple of “CAGs on a public server” games?:)
Last I remember, people had a lot of fun with it but us CAGs were always split up on the teams.

Anyway, I'll make the map rotation tomorrow morning.

Which doesn't work for everyone. Unless there are ways other than the "turn off before end of match, turn on after next match starts".

I remember the '89 quake from trying to watch the World Series on TV. Game was about to start, then... it didn't. Seeing the aftermath (esp. that bridge that collapsed on the cars beneath it) was pretty scary.

Updated my PS3, if all goes well will be playing Warhawk tomorrow night! BTW, we should have an Olympic night since they're on this year. Use the flamethrower on me and I'll be the torch

There's whatever magical thing I did to keep the mic from cutting out. Maybe it has something to do with me worshipping the devil... :whistle2:k  *

I'm always up for some public server action. That's usually where I end up after most CAG nights anyways. Maybe once it gets down to about 4 people we all go play some ranked games?

*DISCLAIMER: devil worship not proven to resolve headset issue
