CAGCAA - NCAA 09 Dynasty - 2009 Season - Week 19 Week Deadline: 6/7

I'll get my game in tonight or tomorrow. Should be a tough one against Wisconsin. I'm anxious to see how my recruiting is going (haven't checked it yet). But, if its anything like offline dynasties, its just gonna be decent. Takes a while to get a team like Indiana to the elite levels.

Tell me about it. I am in year 2 with a crappy team, Western Kentucky, and can't get any recognition from top recruits, because I am a
2 star school. Also hurt me in my quest to repeat as BCS Champs. Went 13-0, destroying most of my competition, yet am on the outside looking in with Wisconsin and West Virginia in the title game and me playing USC (destroyed them to open the season) in the Rose Bowl. I guess the only good thing is, after this game, the program should be up to a 3 star school. Only a few more seasons and I'll hit 5 stars and hopefully a BCS invite somewhere between,

Now if I could just do so well online.
 
I have Indiana up to 5 stars in my offline, but I am in year 4 now. I had one loss going into the bowl games; for some weird reason nobody was losing and I couldn't even crack the top 10. Was the most odd season of NCAA i've ever done. Anyways, I ended up in the Rose Bowl against USC. USC is just unstoppable on Heisman. They were up 35-14 on me, and I nearly came back, but lost 35-28. Recruiting in year 4 is really starting to ramp up. I think nearly all of my targets are 4 stars or above.

I just beat clemson but wow that was a tough game. I beat them by 25 but the score was 22-21 at half time. I couldnt stop their offense worth crap. Luckily I got a Kickoff return for a td and my d stepped up. The last two td's I got were caused by missed 4th downs by Clemson and then my RB's getting the ball in.

Of course my offense wasn't helped out by losing Preston Parker for 2 quarters. Luckily he came back and made some big plays out of the backfield

Heh, they were the team I lost to :( I hate them and PITT!!!:bomb:
 
Finished up my game and Lauranitis is putting up serious numbers to deserve the Defensive Player of the Year award, as he got two picks, a sack, and seven tackles. He's still #1 in tackles and #2 in interceptions behind the favorite for the Defensive Player of the Year award. He's going down.

There are four left to play their games, so get on that if you're one of those four.

I attempted to play my game yesterday and I continually got the cannot connect to dynasty server error. Gonna try to get my game in tonight.
 
Week 11 Recap:

This was probably the most stable week of the year for the Top 25 since the first week or two as we had two Top 25 teams lose and only about 10 teams moved up as they dropped, leaving the rest staying in place as Florida State knocked off #3 Clemson and #2 Oklahoma knocked #21 Texas A&M out of the Top 25. The lone team that's new to the Top 25 is Michigan State, who has made a great turnaround and now resides at the #25 spot.

Though the coaches polled may have been stable, the media poll has caused an uproar as #4 Florida State jumped over Oklahoma after their win over Clemson to the #2 spot and have made the NCAA title game picture fairly cloudy now. The BCS standings have Florida State at the #2 spot, in line for the title game, despite having the same amount of points as Oklahoma. We'll have to wait for bowl projections to come out to see where this leads next week.

The Heisman Watch seems to have stabilized with Georgia's Moreno at the top spot, Florida's Parker at the #2 spot, and Graham Harrell at the #3 spot. Christian Ponder dropped to the #5 spot as Penn State's Derrick Williams made a reappearance at the #4 spot.

Ohio State's James Laurinaitis's amazing game at Northwestern gave him enough of a boost to reach the #1 spot for the Bednarik award over Florida State's Myron Rolle. There are some more movers and shakers in the various award races, so check the OP for the latest up-to-date rankings to see who's contending for the award and check the rankings yourself in the game for the rest of the top 12 for each award.

Florida State's Preston Parker received the ACC Offensive Player of the Week award with 271 all-purpose yards and 2 TDs. Derrick Williams of Penn State took home the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award with 14 receptions, 289 yards, and 4 TDs.

This week, Ohio State takes a trip to Illinois in Ohio State's second to last big rivalry game of the year. Indiana looks to keep their five game winning streak going as they head to Happy Valley to take on the #12 Nittany Lions. Kentucky tries to shake off their three game losing streak as they host Vanerbuilt. South Florida is hosting Rutgers as they push for a big bowl game this year. Florida State continues their quest to crash the National Championship party and push Oklahoma out of the game by hosting Boston College. Other notable games this week include #7 Georgia visiting the #22Auburn Tigers in a big SEC rivaly game. #9 Florida tries to push their way closer to the top as they host #14 South Carolina in another big SEC match-up.

Finally won a game. Woohoo. Now if I can keep up the steam and beat Tennessee to end the regular season. I still need to practice more with the difficulties off line, that way I am prepared next season.
 
Dandes if you wanna do it a bit earlier I should be on around 4:30...I think thats Eastern. I'm on Indiana time, so we switch back and forth, really annoying. Anyways, 4 30 is like an hour and fifteen minutes from now for me. If you aren't on no biggie, we'll go at 5.
 
Good game Dan. I didn't think i was gonna make that field goal. Its almost impossible to judge the kick arrow with that camera. The game was kinda laggy for me, was it for you?
 
Week 12 Recap:

If you thought Florida State jumping to the #2 spot in the Media polls was crazy, then this week seems to have become sane as they dropped to the #3 spot in the Media poll and #4 in the Coaches poll as Arizona jumped over them with a win at Oregon. #12 Penn State dropped significantly due to a big upset to Indiana while #14 South Carolina suffered less of a drop to #9 Florida last week. USC sticks around in the Top 25 for another week as Auburn drops out once more and Texas A&M is welcomed back to the Top 25 once again. Indiana's big win has them on the edge of the Top 25 behind UConn, UNC, and UL Lafayette. Florida State's drop in the polls caused them to fall to a third-place tie with Arizona, hoping for a loss by Oklahoma to #11Texas Tech this week.

The Heisman Race seems to be stabilizing as the top 5 from last week remains with Christian Ponder moving up to the #3 spot while the other two (Graham Harrell and Derrick Williams) drop a spot. The NCAA Awards Finalists are also starting to gel as the season winds down with the main changes being the battle for the Bednarik Award as Myron Rolle jumped ahead once again and Christian Ponder is now leading the O'Brien voting.

This week's National Defensive Player of the Year, brought to you by Coca-Cola Zero with real Coca-Cola taste and zero calories, is Florida State's Myron Rolle, who also earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors, as well. Malcolm Jenkins took home the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week award. South Florida sweeped this week's awards with Matt Grothe gaining Offensive honors and Jarriett Buie taking home the Defensive award.

As the bowl season nears, we've finally reached the point where bowl projections can be made. Here are the interesting match-ups being projected at the moment:

This week contains the biggest rivalry in any sport as Ohio State hosts Michigan once again to cap off their regular season as Ohio State looks to keep their #1 ranking and kick Michigan out of the Top 25 to end a great regular season so far. Rising Big Ten star Michigan State heads to Happy Valley to take on Penn State in another huge rivalry as they vie for the Land Grant Trophy to cap off their respective seasons, as well. Another big rivalry game in the Big Ten occurs this week as Indiana visits Purdue to face off for the Old Oaken Bucket. Florida State tries to prove they belong in the title race as they face Maryland. South Florida fights for their Orange Bowl bid by playing host to Connecticut this week. A big SEC rivalry takes place this week with Ole Miss heading down to Tiger Stadium to try to take the wind our of LSU's bowl game hopes. The other big game of the week is #11 Texas Tech's big chance to mess up the title picture as they face #2 Oklahoma.

Awesome dude, that must have been amazing! Rays will sweep the Phillies....I have a feeling....... Btw, I have to get past a great WV team that still has Pat White. I always have close games in the 10+ times I've played them in all of my dynasties ;P
 
I don't want to drop but I may. With all the games coming out and the speed with which this league is going....Obviously I am doing good and I have recruited well but seriously
 
I'm disappointed to see two games still not being played when we only have eight people in this league. I'm going to give DJSteel, XXplosive1, and Dandeschain until tonight to get their games in and I'm pushing the week forward. we're nearly done with the season, so take the short amount of time to get your games in.
 
DjSteels 360 died. I'll play my last game if I can get it in before I complete my trade with someone here on CAG. USF's recent loss to Lou didnt help either

It's still working the last I heard from him, as he sent me a message two weeks about getting it back and he was playing Fable 2 yesterday.
 
Oh sorry. Ok well good news. The guy I'm trading my 360 too will join the league. I don't know what teams he likes but he said he would join
 
Alright, sorry for the delay, but I'm moving on to the next week now.

Week 13 Recap:

The annual clash between Ohio State and Michigan ended with an embarrassing loss to Ohio State that proves once again that Michigan sucks. With that, Michigan falls out of the Top 25 and must hope for key losses while waiting for their bowl game to get back in. Oklahoma managed to stay alive in their game against Texas Tech with a 49-35 win, which dropped Texas Tech to the #15 spot, letting a few teams move up a spot, but otherwise the top part of the Top 25 is rock solid. Penn State is upset once again this week as they lose to Michigan State in another close game, which helped Michigan State move up a few spots as Penn State hangs on the edge of the Top 25 at the #25 spot. New to the Top 25 this week is UL Lafeyette at 10-1 in the #24 spot. The BCS rankings have stablized with Florida State and Arizona tied for 3rd in the rankings waiting for Oklahoma to make a mistake soon.

Matt Grothe of South Florida has made a late push for the Heisman with his appearance at the #4 spot with an 8 passing TD performance, but everyone else has pretty much stayed the course. The NCAA Award finalists have pretty much finalized except for the kicker and punter awards.

Matt Grothe of south Florida earned the National Offensive Player of the Week award this week along with the Big East Offensive Player of the Week award. Ray Small of Ohio State took home the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award with two huge return touchdowns. Keiland Williams of LSU took home the SEC Offensive Player of the Week award with a huge 3 TD performance.

The bowl game projections haven't changed much from last week. The only changes to the pertinent bowls are opponent changes, so check out the current projections for this week and see who you're now going to face:

Another big SEC rivalry game sees LSU visiting Arkansas for the Battle of the Golden Boot as LSU hopes to cap their season on a good note. Kentucky visits Tennessee for another big SEC rivalry game, as Kentucky pushes for a small winning streak to end their season.

I was OTG most of this weekend. My kid has been sick. I think my brother played fable II this weekend on my 360 so sorry if he ignored a game invite.

I am in season 7 with one of the dynasties and it gets more fun each year...watching people leave...watching teams go down.

If all games are played I don't mind if you advanced and sim my recruiting. Otherwise, I plan on doing it right when I get home from work around 4 30 ET.
 
Week 14 Recap:

As the season winds down, the abrupt changes in the rankings decrease. This week saw a devastating loss by Florida to #4 Florida State in the biggest rivalry game of the week, though that did not have the intended effect of changing the voters' minds and boost them up a spot over Arizona. Losses by #23 Texas A&M, #19 Pitt, and #18 South Carolina also helped stir up things at the bottom of the rankings, allowing North Carolina to make a last ditch effort to reach the #25 spot. Indiana's just on the cusp of the Top 25 if one of the teams left to play takes a dive in their last game.

Nothing's changed with the Heisman Watch this week, so we'll just be waiting for the announcement ceremony to see if Knowshon Moreno is indeed the 2008 Heisman winner. The only change in the NCAA awards are the punters, which means we're just waiting to see the official announcements. Just to top it all off, none of you won a Player of the Week award this past week.

The main changes this week are Kentucky's new opponent and LSU moved to a new bowl game a few hours later than their original bowl game. Here are the Bowl Projections as they stand for this week:
