CAGCAA - NCAA 10 Dynasty - 2011 Season - Week 19 Deadline: 6/28

I believe a fair catch is Y. I'm just so used to hitting whatever button it is out of habit that I don't remember. I know I called for one in the game but I can't remember, I thought it was Y though.

That makes a lot of sense now because I remember thinking to myself "What the hell is he doing, he most break a shitload of tackles normally".

Can you put me on vacation mode? I don't have a good internet connection here in GA, I'll be out of town next week, and moving to Denver the following week. I'll be settled in my new apartment in mid-January and won't be going awol for a week without logging in. I don't want to slow the league down.

Sorry for not getting the dynsty advanced last night, as I had some things to do that kept me busy, but I'm in the process of getting things updated and Franky's game had another issue that caused his loss in the sim. I don't know if the rampant dynasty server errors are causing the issue, but you guys need to check and double check that stuff when you finish your games. Make sure it's recorded correctly for both you and your opponent and let me know if something is wrong so I can reverse it so you can play it again.

Also, let me know if you are going to be out for an extended amount of time for the next week or two so I can either put you on vacation mode or extend deadlines. If most of you won't be around, I can just put the league on hiatus for a bit so we can resume when everybody's ready.

This week is a big week for the BCS Title picture as Texas was finally knocked off by Florida. That allowed Georgia Tech to jump up to #1 and Oklahoma to take over the #2 spot while #3 South Florida continues to wait for their chance to shine at #2. If you notice the Top 25, Oklahoma has zero first place votes while South Florida has 14 and Cal has 3 first place votes. Also, Butch Davis voted for his team despite being undefeated at #7 right now.

The AP poll is the complete opposite as Oklahoma is #1 with 40 first place votes while Florida is #2 with 24 votes and South Florida's dropped to #3 with just 1 vote, which also means two one-loss teams are ahead of two undefeated teams and that the media are just causing as much chaos as they can to mess with the BCS rankings that show up in two weeks.

The Heisman Watch for this week features Kordell Young back at the #1 spot with Sherrod Harris from Texas at the #2 position. Jason Peters of Georgia Tech might be on his way out of the watch as he sits at #4 now. Two new contenders have arrived with Alabama's Julio Jones at #3 and Cal's Jahvid Best at #5.

Georgia Tech's Tevin Washington had a big game to lead his team to victory over Utah to earn the SEC Offensive Player of the Week.

This week also appears to be an off week for the SEC as three of its top teams (Florida, Texas, and Georgia Tech) have a bye this week. There are still big SEC games this week with #6 Rutgers taking on #3 South Florida, #22 LSU at Miami, and #11 Ohio State at Michigan State in a big battle of former Big Ten teams. Elsewhere in the country, #25 Georgia tries to stay in the Top 25 when they visit Chapel Hill to take on #7 North Carolina, #13 Alabama faces #2 Oklahoma in a huge Big 12 battle, and #10 Virginia Tech takes on #20 NC State in another big ACC game.

Here's the full schedule for the week:

Rutgers (BigAT4) at South Florida (JustnCredible29)
LSU (DarkTower80) at Miami (drunknmunkys)
Ohio State (FriskyTanuki) at Michigan State (XXXplosive1)

Byes: Georgia Tech (S3anAmI), Texas (Frankysox), Florida (Ultimate Matt X)

XXXplosive, let me know when you can play. I should be free for a bit tomorrow afternoon (probably 2-4 PM EST), but I should be available either most of the day on the 26th or 27th.

Its got to be a problem with Franky reporting since its only his games being simmed. Franky do you always created the game or always join the game? Before the deadline, we should say who we see that hasn't played their games in case they have, but they have been reported incorrectly.

Dang, the servers are creating all types of bs this year. But, it kinda works out for BigAt who really got hosed in his sim. I have 2 very tough games ahead with the Scarlet Knights and YellowJackets. BigAt I can play this upcoming Sunday, unless I get some free time tommorrow night. This is the biggest game in USF history and it should be fun!

My schedule the next two days days is going to be iffy, at best. I have no clue if I'll be around or not.

I should be able to play Sunday though, as long as it's after the Giants (1PM) game.

I'm not sure what's going on. I've both invited and been invited. I also check to see that it recorded and it did. This pretty much stinks if every game of mine is going to be simmed. I'm back where I should be now so we'll just have to see what happens after I play you.

Well, I must have gotten the reporting error too as I beat ND by a field goal when i played it and when I went to play the next game it says i lost by 3 in OT.

Good Game BigAt, the Knights put a stomping on us, but as always I have to give you credit man. You play fair, smart, and with class! I have never seen a pass rush like yours and it literally changes the results of all my pass plays. Time to lick my wounds and get ready for the Jackets! Rut 35 Usf 7

Thanks.

Sorry I didn't get the chance to express good game to you yesterday, but I had company literally arriving as we were wrapping things up. I really like that my team is very solid on both sides of the trenches. My D-line is very disruptive and my O-line gets some great run blocking at times.

Judging by who you started at QB, I'm guessing that BJ Daniels isn't rated nearly as highly in game as he should be?

Sorry, We had a slight medical emergency in the immediate family so I was MIA the last two days. If you can wait, i can play as soon as I get home from work Tueday at 6pm or later if you want. If you need to move on I understand.

Good game. That was a lot closer than rankings/records would indicate, so I'm glad a few good pass deflections on that final drive helped stave off what seemed like an inevitable tie. Got lucky with a few passing plays turning out to be big with some good blocking for TD's early on.

I'll be advancing to the next week in a bit.

The coaches poll finally starts to get serious as the undefeated teams in the country start to pile up around the top of the poll with Georgia Tech at #1, Cal at #2, and North Carolina at #3. Of course, the Media poll decided to put Rutgers at #2 after their polls were destroyed when their top two teams lost last week. Oklahoma got a major beatdown from Alabama to tumble to the #12 spot, which pushed Ohio State down to #13 despite winning. South Florida saw defeat when they faced Rutgers to push them out of the title picture for the time being.

The Heisman Watch this week sees Georgia Tech's Jason Peters drop out completely along with Texas' Sherrod Harris dropping to the #5 spot as he is about to also fall out of the race. Alabama's Julio Jones moved up to the #2 spot with Cal's Jahvid Best taking the #4 spot. The new blood in the watch this week is Colorado's Cody Hawkins.

Notre Dame's Golden Tate and Brian Smith have earned the SEC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards, respectively, after their big win over Iowa last week.

Like last week, this is another off week for the SEC as they have three games this week. #6 Texas gets the chance to take out the final undefeated SEC team in #1 Georgia Tech while #5 Florida can keep their name in the picture when they face off against old SEC rival #20 LSU. The other big game for this week is #8 Virginia Tech against #3 North Carolina to see if UNC is worthy of a title shot.

Here's the full schedule for the week:

Miami (drunknmunkys) at Michigan State (XXXplosive1)
Georgia Tech (S3anAmI) at Texas (Frankysox)
LSU (DarkTower80) at Florida (Ultimate Matt X)

Byes: Rutgers (BigAT4), South Florida (JustnCredible29), Ohio State (FriskyTanuki), Notre Dame (acabra2)
I wont be around until Friday or Saturday. So if either of those work for you maybe we can do something in the evening?
Sounds good, just let me know.
Matt, I am off Saturday so I can play pretty much anytime then or tomorrow night after about 7 MST.
Well I'll look for you late tonight and if that doesn't work just give me a time in the afternoon and I'll make sure I'm on Saturday.

Hey Sean I'll be on late tonight if you want to get our game in, it'd probably be around 12am est time or after. Otherwise I'm available any time tomorrow. Just name a time.

Well I just got absolutely owned in our game. It ended up 37-14. The defense just couldn't stop anything and Sean runs a great option. I thought I'd be able to run but that was shut down by the second quarter so I went to the pass game and that resulted in three picks. This game would have been 37-7 had it not been for a pick 6 that was very weird. The ball almost seemed to go through his receiver and end up in my hands.

Also after the game Sean google'd our little issue of games not reporting to the server after the week was simmed. He found a solution that recommended setting the ready to advance option, which I haven't been doing. Hopefully this week records correctly.

I think everyone should delete their local saves for the dynasty too. Also, Franky I read the opposite of what I told you as well so who knows.

DarkTower, just wanted to let you know I'm around now and will be watching the Xbox throughout the afternoon. If we can't get together today for some reason I should be able to play tomorrow after I get back from the Browns game.

I was having problems with this in the offseason but everything has been better since I stopped saving the league each week as it updates. I second this reccomendation as you download the updated league when you sign in anyway.

Cal falls from the group of undefeated teams with a loss to Oregon to leave the top of the rankings with just two remaining. Mississippi State also fell to Auburn to keep them from getting close to a title shot, though Colorado finally showed up with a 7-0 record at the #20 slot due to a completely cupcake schedule. Texas failed to take down Georgia Tech to earn their second loss of the season. Along with the shrinking of undefeated teams is a slide of six teams out of the Top 25 in Ole Miss, Nebraska, Oergon State, USC, Penn State, and NC State. That allowed teams like Oregon, Colorado, Auburn, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Notre Dame to get into the Top 25.

The Heisman Watch had a big shakeup with Julio Jones taking the top spot this week with Colorado's Cody Hawkins in the 2nd slot. Rutgers' Kordell Young fell to the #3 spot and returning to the watch is Alabama's Greg McElroy at the 5th spot.

The SEC Offensive Player of the Week is Georgia Tech's Roddy Jones and SEC Defensive Player of the Week went to Florida's Jelani Jenkins.

There are a few big games this week between SEC teams. #6 South Florida gets a chance to spoil #1 Georgia Tech's title shot in the biggest SEC game of the week while #10 Texas visits the Horseshoe to take on #11 Ohio State. #20 Colorado gets their first test of the season as they take on #9 Oklahoma to make a statement that they deserve more props from the coaches poll. #15 Mississippi State faces off against #13 West Virginia in a battle of Big East leaders.

Here's the full schedule for this week:

Rutgers (BigAT4) at Miami (drunknmunkys)
Florida State at Michigan State (XXXplosive1)
South Florida (JustnCredible29) at Georgia Tech (S3anAmI)
USC at Notre Dame (acabra2)
Texas (Frankysox) at Ohio State (FriskyTanuki)
LSU (DarkTower80) at Iowa

Franky, your game with Sean turned into a 42-17 loss rather than 37-14 loss that I saw before, so I'm not sure why it's just your games that are being misreported.

Let me know when you're available to play.

Darktower had a game misreported as well and others may have just not notice reporting errors. Everyone should check their scores and make sure they are reported correctly. If Im not mistaken it was around the same time the new guy (acabra2) joined the league. We should try to find an answer or come up with a fix before advancing the week again.

I say we make everyone delete their dynasty save from their hard drive and no longer save the dynasty to their hard drive.
If possible, I think everyone should also try setting ready to advance manually and possibly kicking the vacationing players and readding them when they come back to see if that somehow causes a problem. There would also be the option of making sure everyone uses all their recruiting time so the computer cant try to sim anything.

Once we come up with some sort of solution, JustnCredible when are you free?

Everybody was set as Ready to Advance this week, so that can't be it. It's been happening since Franky and BigAT played each other in week 2 or 3, a few weeks before acabra2.

Maybe we should have Franky drop from the dynasty and then get reinvited. It's a longshot at best to actually do anything, but at this point it can't hurt.

Drunknmunkys, when are you available to play our game?

Sean, i will be online tonight after 7pm eastern. I'll check on here before I log on. Btw, we should email the ncaa/ea team to see if they have any answers for our issues this year

Drunknmunkys is moving or something.

Dropping Franky wont fix anything since the issue is not isolated, Darktower had the same problem as I stated previously. At least everyone should delete the saves of the dynasty on their hard drives and manually set to advance at the end of the week.

JustnCredible, if its at 7 I probably can play, I wanna watch the Tech game tonight though so if its later I cant play.

I thought something was up, he hasn't been on Live since Christmas. Does that mean I'm playing the CPU or what? Any idea when he's going to be back?

Hey Frisky I can play tonight pretty much anytime after the Orange Bowl. Will you still be on? Also I'm willing to try anything to get this fixed because it's pointless to keep playing games unless they count. I'm just glad I didn't take a win away from Sean. I don't ever save the dynasty file and I am not consistent on setting my ready to advance. I have a feeling all of my games on lost from here on out.
