CAGCAA - NCAA 10 Dynasty - 2011 Season - Week 19 Deadline: 6/28

Sorry, I forgot to indicate that I've tried plenty of other discs on my new system and they all work perfectly. Also, I had some similar issues with my NCAA disc before my system died, just not to this degree.

Is the disc warped? See if the game is recognized without the hd on. You could try getting someone elses copy trying it on your 360 then installing onto the hd and then using your disc.

I've already got it installed, which is the most frustrating part. I just need it to get recognized and I'm good to go.

Hmmm, did you try without the hd on? Maybe the install is messed up. Also try clearing the cache and such as a last resort. You can also try cleaning the NCAA disc regardless. Also try unplugging the 360 from the power source. Probably will not work, but why not try.

Had a great 34-33 win over Colorado and their Heisman QB after being down by 19 in the first half. Colorado's kicker was my MVP after missing two PATs and the game-wining field goal.

The sim went just fine and we're now the BCS Championship is the last game that needs to be played.

I heard it had to do with saving the dynasty to your hard drive or something with no finishing recruiting all the way. Not sure though, I will look into it more.

We are now in the off-season with the first week being leaving players, so get on to see who is leaving for the draft, transferring, or graduating.

I got mine done as well.

I'd just like to give everyone a fair warning, that if we have simulation problems again I'll most likely drop from the league. This doesn't mean if it happens once I'm gone, but more than once to me would be enough to frustrate me into quitting. With that said hopefully we have a more successful run this time around and as long as it stays that way I'm ready for many more seasons!!!! Good luck to everyone this off-season.

Man I got hit hard with like 15 seniors leaving. Luckily, I talked most of the underclassmen into staying. I'm glad I redshirted a lot of guys because of my depth, so I should be able to fill in a lot of the gaps.

I am in the same boat Matt. Losing a lot of defensive starters to graduation. The only underclassman trying to leave was my QB and I got him back.

As for the sim problems I am inclined to agree with Franky. If it keeps happening this seaon I will probably drop. Even if the result stays the same the score and stats will be different, which affects the polls and awards.

We can probably just advance this week right away anyway since I doubt the computer will mess up transfers and I doubt anyone really got any.

We're now on to the first week of recruiting, so get on and set your visits, recruiting list, and all that.

Just looking at the top schools in recruiting, it seems like most of us are having more trouble getting even a couple 5 star recruits and the overall volume I remember everyone having before. I'm glad I don't have any holes, so the low number of recruits isn't hurting me right now.
Did you use a lot of time to keep some people from leaving early?
Ya that counts for this weeks recruiting then?

LOL! Jesus Sean, how the hell did you spend almost 10 hours trying to keep players from leaving. I think you'll get a full 10 hours for the rest of the weeks though so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

I'm out of town this weekend so if everyone is done quick don't wait for me. If for some reason it takes you a little longer to advance, I should be able to do my recruiting Sunday afternoon. I wish I would have thought about it because I could have brought the game with me, but its no big deal. If possible maybe you could even drop me for a week so the CPU could do some recruiting for me, though I doubt that it is worth the effort.

We're now on to the next week, though the game decided to move us ahead to the changing positions portion of the off-season rather than week 3 of recruiting for whatever reason. So be sure to get on and move guys to positions that you need filled.

We should be good to go now. I skipped past the training results week to the time for cuts. So be sure to get on and make sure your roster fits under the 70 player limit.

What do we have to do during pre-season? I ask because my net is down until Monday, but if I have to do something major in the game this weekend I can try and work something out. If not I'll just wait until Monday.

Damn the redshirt thing will really hurt me. I don't mind missing the early recruiting and I can do my depth chart later. Hopefully it will work for a few minutes sometime tonight.

Okay my internet should be back tomorrow so if we're about to start playing games I should be good to go. It's been a real pain in the ass having my net go down during all the off-season activity, but oh well.

We're now on Week 1 of the 2011 Season. We've got some good rankings already with three teams in the Top 5 (Florida, Ohio State, and Georgia Tech), so we'll have some teams that are ready to take over the top spots once either Oklahoma or Alabama loses.

The Heisman Watch has three Georgia Tech players in the two through four spots with Ohio State's Jake Stoneburner at the fifth spot. Boise State's QB, Kellen Moore, has the top spot as the early favorite to win the Heisman.

Pre-Season All-Americans have been decided, so here are the tallies for players to watch this year:

Ohio State - 2 1st All-NCAA, 2 1st All-SEC
Georgia Tech - 3 1st All-NCAA, 2 2nd All-NCAA, 7 1st All-SEC, 2 2nd All-SEC
LSU - 1 1st All-NCAA, 3 1st All-SEC, 4 2nd All-SEC
Florida - 1 1st All-NCAA, 2 2nd All-NCAA, 2 1st All-SEC, 5 2nd All-SEC
Notre Dame - 1 2nd All-NCAA, 2 1st All-SEC
South Florida - 1 2nd All-NCAA, 1 1st All-SEC, 3 2nd All-SEC
Texas - 3 1st All-SEC, 2 2nd All-SEC
Michigan State - 1 1st All-SEC
Rutgers - 6 2nd All-SEC

The biggest game of the week is #8 Texas hosting for #14 Oregon for an early top-ranked match-up between two big SEC/Pac-10 teams. #18 Rutgers is visiting #22 Colorado to see who might be the first to leave the Top 25 along with #25 Maryland visiting South Bend to take on #13 Notre Dame. Here is the full schedule for this week:

Maryland at Notre Dame (acabra2)
TCU at Michigan State (XXXplosive1)
Rutgers (BigAT4) at Colorado
Oregon at Texas (Frankysox)

Byes: Florida (Ultimate Matt X), Ohio State (FriskyTanuki), South Florida (JustnCredible29), Georgia Tech (S3anAmI), LSU (DarkTower80)

Well finally got my net working so I was able to do my first week recruiting. My team looks good still, but I'm wondering if the computer did some strange redshirting while I was gone. Doesn't seem like I have the depth at some positions that I need, though maybe it was doing this to give me more depth in future years. Hopefully no major injuries end up costing me.

The best things that seem to have come from my offseason is my quarterback is now a 95 and I have a 99 cornerback.

Despite it being the first week of the season, a few upsets are already happening as unranked Kentucky took out #1 Oklahoma with an embarrassing 24-6 win. That allowed a short dance as a bunch of teams in the Top 25 got to move up a spot, which means out top three is Alabama, Florida, and Ohio State for this week.

The Heisman Watch stays the same this week as only one of the top players played this week.

The SEC Offensive Player of the Week is Texas' John Chiles, who had three touchdowns and 127 yards receiving against Oregon. Notre Dame's Steve Filer earned SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors with a big game against Maryland last week.

This week's biggest games come out of the SEC, as they're taking some of the top teams in the country way earlier than every other conference so far this season. Florida gets the chance to knock Ole Miss out of the Top 25 altogether Ohio State may do the same to Arizona, as well. Oregon gets the chance to make up for their loss against Texas last week as they face Notre Dame. The Game of the Week is Cincinnati taking on LSU in a big clash of teams hoping for a single digit ranking next week.

Here is the full schedule for this week:

Nebraska at Rutgers (BigAT4)
UCLA at Michigan State (XXXplosive1)
Ole Miss at Florida (Ultimate Matt X)
Cincinnati at LSU (DarkTower80)
Oregon at Notre Dame (acabra2)
South Florida (JustnCredible29) at Boise State
Arizona at Ohio State (FriskyTanuki)

Byes: Texas (Frankysox), Georgia Tech (S3anAmI)

Not sure where acaraba2 and BigAT are, as they both missed their games last week and need to play their games this week to stick around.

Well I taught Ole Miss a lesson. Was beating them around 40 some to 3 and they scored on me so I had to keep scoring, heh. That made the score look a little closer than the game really was. Glad Brantley seems to be improving and my defense is still good though.

Got my game in yesterday. Went back and forth the first three quarters but my defense picked it up with huge takeaways to start the 4th. Got a pick on their first drive in the 4th and then picked off a pitch on the option and took it back for a TD on their next drive to get me a big enough lead to hold them off late. I think the final was 49-37. Somewhere right around there.
