CAGFC (UFC 2009 League) - HW's Only! New Site! Details Inside!
At this point, there are only 4 fighters in the WW class...all of whom are on the card. So, there are no replacements. Unless that changes between now and Thursday night, you'll get a free win.

Also, did pimpster mention whether he's going to replace the disc, or is he done?
I could fight both mw and welter!!!! got a guy in both if you ever need a fighter in eight i can do it!!!
Yeah pushing the deadline back would help I would think. I would be able to fight on Thursday, not sure about homeland.
I should be able to fight Thursday. Right now I'll be free.

I'm just finishing up my career welterweight, and would like to add him to the next card.
So we can enter CAFs amde outside career mode into this league? I wish I had known that before going through another career. I thought that wasn't allowed.
To be honest, I didn't even notice that. It was late last night, and I was in a hurry. Matt's right though. The rules in the OP state that fighters must come from career mode (as it prevents people from just rapid adding like 4 guys...and makes you earn their spot). But here's what I'll do for now. whiptcracker, your WW can fill in for this fight, but after this, you've gotta either run him through a career, or remove him. Think of it as calling up an amateur to fill in a spot.

This goes for EVERYBODY else in CAGFC as well. I don't want any more rapid creations just to fill spots. My only reason for adjusting cards to begin with was for people whose systems broke, and only if there was a fighterr not scheduled that week (ie. odd number in weight class)

I'm already apprehensive about people having fighters in 3 weight classes as it creates more chances for fights to not happen, and could just clutter the divisions. I kinda think 3 fighters should be the maximum anyone should have. Let's keep things under control here guys.

I also think you should have to fight at least 2 fights with each fighter before adding another. Granted, that wasn't a written law in the beginning, but I just checked the roster, and basically everyone who has added a 2nd (and even a 3rd in seen's case) fighter has met that criteria. I just don't want things to get out of hand.

EDIT - I've added in new requirements for having multiple fighters in the OP. It's right between the "HOW DO I SIGN UP?" and "WHEN DO I FIGHT?" sections. Obviously, this is something I wish I had thought of before we started, but like I said, most of us were going by it already, and I really just wanted to put it in writing. I think it's a pretty fair policy.

I appreciate your enthusiasm man, but just try to scale it back a notch. If you read my post directly above this one (since you're new...to both CAGFC and CAG in general I'd advise reading the original post in this thread as well), you'll see that some policies have been implemented regarding additional fighters (the first fighter you signed up is A-OK though, and will be on the next card, so don't worry!)

Also, and this is just general life advice, try not to make too many waves when you're just joining a group. I don't know what exactly you're suggesting about the "free forums", but many of us have been on CAG for years, and we very much like it here. In fact, this screen name was created for the sole purpose of having an overseeing body for the many sports leagues that are run on the site.

Like I said, I'm not even totally sure what you meant by those comments, and I'm probably reading into it too much, but what I picked out was "this thread is bad luck" and "look for free forums". See how that sounds?

Makes sense to me. If someone else already has a WW in career they're more than welcome to take the spot as well. I just wanted to try out Judo.

I'm sorry that you turned out to be the first example for this, man, but would you mind holding that fighter back until your LH gets one more fight under his belt? Everything was just starting to feel a little chaotic with all the injuries, and new fighters being created, and whatnot. Hope it's not a big deal. Thanks!

Thanks for being cool about it, man. In that case (since I have to break one of my rules either way), I'm going to "grandfather in" TuffGong's WW guy. His original LH fighter has only had 1 fight, but since the WW he just signed up is from a career, it makes more sense to add him permanently, than give your guy one fight, and then make you remove him.

This will give you a chance to start a career in whichever weight division you actually want to be in, and add your new guy whenever he's ready. I hope that sounds good to everybody. I'm tryin to be a diplomat here, haha. :)

So, for those of you playing along at home (if I haven't lost you already), the WW non-title fight due by Friday, 6/19 at 11:59 PM EST is now

Mach Sakurai vs. Justin Credible

Works for me, I still have a LHW title fight coming up. I'll scrub my fighter and try on working on someone for the lightweight division since that's still small.

If we need to use career CAFs you'll need to take me off of cards for awhile. My career one is still a mess and will probably take awhile to get up to speed. Well unless my opponents have bad overalls too, in that case it'll be fine.

I remember you saying initially that you'd have to use a regular created fighter for your first fight, but would replace him after that. I guess I thought you had done that already. You must not be playing the game very much if you still haven't made it very far in your career. And what do you mean by a "bad overall" rating? You can look in the OP and see the reported ratings of all the other fighters in your division. It's up to you if you want on the next card or not.
I understand.........sorry man im just an up beat person. (It kinds of sounds like bad luck though........)
Well, sure it's bad luck. But why is it the thread's fault? :)
Hmm... now I must decide whether to make the LHW guy I was going to, or use a different class, sicne I can only have 3.
I wouldn't say 3 will be the limit forever. But until we have a few people demonstrate that they can handle juggling 3 fights a week, it's probably better to not overload every single division. At this point, history tells me that having 3 opponents to get in touch with in a week's time is challenging enough.

Besides, you can still do a career in every weight class (as I plan to so I can get that achievement). Just use your favorites for CAGFC. You can always "retire" a fighter and replace him if you want. I'd just be hard pressed to find cause for an argument that having 3 fights a week isn't "enough".

Brandon Haines | Jean Claude | Submission | 4:03 of RD1

Good fight... you definitely connected on more than a few punches that could have easily knocked me out. I just waited until you gassed yourself and went for the submission.

Andrew Kennel | Manny Pacquiao | Submission (Triangle Choke) | 3:35 Round 3

Great Fight, I was not feeling comfortable on the feet but it was hard for me to take you down. If I wouldn't have had that rubber guard transition to full mount, it could have been a very different fight.
Well, sure it's bad luck. But why is it the thread's fault? :)
Well lets just say i dont want to get injured........

AP Report - We were able to catch the LW Championship match at CAGFC3-Fully Loaded between champion Andrew Kennel and Manny Pacquiao.
This was another great promotion put on by CAGFC. It was a packed house, leading to some lag at the beginning of the match. The match proved to be another war between two highly skilled fighters.
Manny Pacquiao hails from the Philippines and is a boxing p4p champion who at the advice of his promoter Bob Arum, decided to try to be a champion at 155 which is 15lbs above his natural weight.
Andrew Kennel is a less well known fighter who is currently dominating the CAGFC LW division with 3 successful title defenses. While speaking with some fans ring-side prior to the fight it is rumored he trains with the likes of UFC Champion BJ Penn and Strikeforce Champion Jake Shields.

The fight began with a bang both fighters throwing strikes and exchanging ground control. After the first AK exposed Manny's weaknesses and was able to dominate the round with the GnP. Manny came out firing in the 3rd round but he was badly hurt which limited his power, he was able to slow-down the champion but is wrist injury was insurmountable as he was submitted via triangle choke @3:35 of round 3.

We were unable to gain locker-room access(Loretta Hunt is working on that story)but were able to speak with the AK's agent who said that his client was "ready to take on all challengers and continue to dominate the LW division." Speaking with Manny's promoter Bob Arum he said this, "Manny is a great fighter and while he's displayed is abilities if he can't get things turned around by his next fight, I'm might have him retire."
Well lets just say i dont want to get injured........
Not to be a dick, but if you're that superstitious, go back to UOC. Don't bash CAG.

Congratulations to Andrew Kennel for his second successful defense of the CAGFC Lightweight title. I'm starting to wonder if anybody can knock Kennel from the top of the top of the totem pole. I'm really looking forward to seeing that division heat up!

:applause: I wish I had that kind of creativity

I also wanted to post and say that I am going to be out of town starting June 27th for roughly a week, so after this next card I will have to sit at least one out. Just figured I would give a little bit of a heads up.

just an update on mine and seens fight...were running into some technical dificulties..it keeps saying session no longer available when we try to have our match..no matter which one of us hosts it...but i think we'll be able to get it figured out b4 the due date
I too will be out the week of 6/27 - 7/3.
I'll be gone pretty much that exact timeframe as well. Visiting family in western NY. The card for CAGFC4 will go up tomorrow though (there will be a little overlap since the CAGFC3 deadline got extended...but it would really help if at least the title fights were done sometime tonight) and those fights will be due by 6/25. I'm assuming both of you guys will be good for CAGFC4, but just won't be able to fight at CAGFC5. Correct?

Michael Klein | Matt Cracker | KO | 4:23 of RD2

I was getting dominated, he even had me rocked while he was in the mount position. I somehow got up and Flash KOd. Was such a nuts fight. Watch out for Matt Cracker, I dont see him losing any more.

And for a little fun

[Character] "I told you I would get you back Cracker. That win you had over me in the tourny was a fluke. It will never happen again. Period. Anytime anywhere Cracker, you know how to get with me! Woooo Baby!" [/Character]

Not creative or anything I know but I feel we have a rivalry now!

Michael Klein | Matt Cracker | KO | 4:23 of RD2

Flash KO is my mortal enemy. Good fight, and I wasn't as dominate as he makes me sound. He slammed me twice, and twice I used rubber guard to gain mount and throw some ground and pound.

And twice he shook me off and the second time I backed off then tried to dart in for a low jab to the stomach....just as he threw a punch. It looked like I practically dove into his fist face first. I had MikeBike on the ground, was in mount and had him rocked and he came back from it, so anyone going after the title beware, if you think you are just about to win the fight don't underestimate him.
So how will CAGFC 5 work, Nate, with you being gone?
I'll post the card before I leave (I won't be on it, obviously), and it'll just be on you guys to get the fights in. I'll officially be gone from 6/26 - 7/1, so that'll allow me to get back in time to get CAGFC6 ready.

Congratulations to Michael Klein for successfully defending his CAGFC Light Heavyweight title! Klein defeated Matt Cracker by KO at 4:23 of the second round. It sounds like it was one hell of a fight, with many momentum changes. With their personal rivalry tied at one win a piece, a third fight is definitely in their future. Klein seems determined to keep that belt for a while.

Also, you guys have about 24 hours to get the rest of the fights in. We have 5 fights that still need to be completed, which are as follows:

Jason Hart vs Faazil
Roy Jones Jr vs John Routier
Mach Sakurai vs Justin Credible
Tyler Wilson vs Jay Gillums
Codi Garber vs Jay See

I know a few of you have been trying to get your fights set up, and I hope you're able to do so soon. The rest of you, I really hope you're contacting your opponent and working out a time to fight. I'd rather not be handing out any free wins.

The card for CAGFC4 will be posted tomorrow. I'm not sure exactly when I'll have it up, as I'd like to have as many of these fights in as possible since the outcomes could affect rankings and matchups. But at the same time, I want to make sure everyone has enough time to get those fights completed because I won't be able to offer an extension next week. To sum up, try to get these fights finished as soon as possible guys! Thanks! :)

Codi Garber | Jay See | KO at 3:21 of Round 2

Another really good fight. A whole lot of back and forth, especially on the ground. It was my rubber guard against his counters and transitions. In the end I got a surprisingly quick KO from the mount, I wasn't expecting to finish it so quick. Looking forward to a rematch down the road (and lets face it, with 5 WelterWeights in the division it won't take long ).

Congratulations to Codi Garber for his second successful defense of the CAGFC Welterweight title! After back to back victories over Jimi Smith, Garber took on newcomer Jay See and defeated him by KO at 3:21 of the second round. Garber remains at the head of the pack in the Welterweight division, but with new fighters joining the ranks, things are sure to get interesting!

Shit! It just dawned on me that Straightedge109 is Tyler Wilson, and he's already told us that his 360 red ringed a couple days ago. The only possible fill in for this fight would be Kimbo Slice. seen, if you're around, let me know if you are willing to take that fight on really short notice.

John Routier | Roy Jones Jr. | KO | 3:22 of Round 1

P.S. i thought the curse was takin my xbox...a minute into our first try it went black and i looked at my xbox and saw red...almost cried :p...luckly just 2 rings

I don't think the Jason Hart fight is going to happen. MSU's opponent is still silver.

And Nate, when you are gone, I will do my best to make sure people get their fights done.

Whoa...that's freakin scary dude, haha. Glad it wasn't anything serious. I'm telling you guys, ya gotta "stretch out" before getting into the octagon. Play some Peggle or Uno or something to warm up, haha. Good job getting that fight in though! I know you guys had some connection issues.

Yeeeeeah...looks that way don't it? lol (they need to add a head tilt smiley...like Kyle on South Park when he says "really???")

haha, well what does that say about you for watching? I always wondered why you're always like "hey, let's play Uno!" :)

Jason Hart | Faazil | Submission (Guillotine Choke) | 4:40 Round 3

(in case i did this wrong, Jason hart did beat me)

also i got xbl sit. settled thanks to their $1 promotion :D

edit: Guillotine chock not triangle choke, my bad.

Jason Hart defeats Faazil via Guilotine Choke 4:40 of Round 2.

"Hart won the first round with take downs and punches in the ground game. Faazil attempted numerous running takedown attempts in round 2 that were mostly blocked, but at the end of round 2 he got his second takedown of the round but being winded got caught in Hart's guilotine choke and tapped out."

Nice game man I was getting a little flustered with your attack in the second round but I was lucky to get a choke in and get it to work. That was my first submission in the full game, career or online.

FYI my overall is 76 and Faazil's is 82.

Oh and on that $1 promotion Faz, Microsoft will auto bill you for a year under however you paid after the month is up unless you cancel. You may need to check the details on the promotion if that is an issue.
