Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Gen. Discussion & Info

very nice -bigc-, i play too match deathmatch and domination for any other game types. my clan has just gone 3 straight nights of being undefeated, my 3 loses for the night were shut down servers when we were destroying them. i am right about to hit 39,000 kills now, i am probably around 50 or so away. we had our first close call tonight, we were losing for 3/4 of the game and at the last second we pulled it off and won 750-740, that was insane.
Hacks are a problem in ALL online PC games.
Thats one thing I like about online console games. Hacks aren't nearly as prevalent.

Aimbots are so lame.

Its such a shame with hacks...ruins games for others. I guess some people feed on that kinda thing? I don't see how its funny after awhile. It drove me insane on Halo 2 when i got placed in a modded match.

I played sabotage with a friend against this clan:

http://www.pmsclan.com/

They were all in fourth/fifth/sixth level prestige mode.

It was an honor to get my ass kicked by them.

Really funny too because as soon the matches were over, they'd just say 'good game' 'great game guys' in such pleasant girly voices.
One I could hear telling her kids to hush.
Man.

Haha, that's pretty funny you got paired up with them.

i remember the PMS clan from my socom days, if they are all the same, that clan has to be no joke by now. they were decent on socom and sticking together through every online shooter can only make you better. one of my clan members just hit level 7 prestige and i am at a 45 on the 6th. just so you know though, prestige level means nothing to be honest. you can suck and be a level 10 prestige at rank 55 (believe me, i have played some and they had their deaths over kills every game). the people you want to watch out for are the ones that got that high playing deathmatch, domination, or even headquarters. they earn less points per game which means they usually get a lot of kills to be able to get there.

HQ is generally the most points per game I've found. I usually get 400+ points (when we win) plus a 400 point bonus.

And yeah, my friend actually knew one of them from Socom.
Most of them said they still preferred Socom.

"I'm still a Socom girl at heart"

I am so close to finishing all the head shot challenges.

MP5, Scorp left for the SMGS.

G3, M14 left for the Assault rifles.

Dont care about snipers though.

Last night i was on fire. Posted a 71-24 game as well as a few 40 plus kill games. I am hitting my stride.

Shipment for the 71?
For some reason everytime one of my friends invites me I get an error and can not join them.
Open your NAT. If it's still giving you the error after you open it, have someone else host the room or you should try hosting the room.

I've also found it's not a good idea to accept invites fresh from the dashboard or I'll get an error about my playlist not being up to date with the host. I have to start CoD4 and go into the empty private match lobby so that I "download game settings" and then accept the invite from there.

You should get the 360 version, dullow. You can get your ass kicked on sabotage by us on a nightly basis. ;)

Eavesdrop was awesome in those games. That's how a team should play.

Hearing good game after any game is so rare on xbox live, I always try to say it no matter the outcome. Ive had really great games that came down tot he last second then when we get to the lobby they just talk shit and leave. I mean if we had lost I would of said good game and looked for another one. But fuck if people can accept a loss anymore

Crap just tried to rent this and it kept freezing at the title screen after the Infinity Ward and Activision logos played. Oh well returned it to the video store. Probably a crap disc. Oh well I'll try it another time.

i hear you -bigc-, usually when we win we get the people that talk trash and say we just got lucky, etc., but last night was a first in a long time for me. we dominated these guys on vacant and crash (they did not score above 350 on either map) and they complimented us for locking the map down so well. on vacant we pushed them ouside and hit them with 3-4 airstikes and 2 helicopters and on crash not a single one of them made it down the back alley. 13 of them tried to make it down that alley, but they all fell short to my r700. it is nice to hear some sportsmanship for once, but if i hear trash talk from one person on the other team, the gloves are off for me .

about that PMS clan, i remember destroying them on socom II and they decided to talk trash. i dont respect them for that reason, but i do remember them beating some very good teams on there. of course my clan was unstoppable on desert glory as the terrorist, i remember going 2 on 6 against the other team (the rest of my team died already) and me and my clan member "mack" ended up winning still. AK-47 with PMN mines set up at each entrance while i ran around the building killing anyone who may have made it past, mack had the hostages and set them by the c4 wall. planted a mine right by the door and sniped everyone with the m14 that went into the middle building, the hostages wouldn't move even when c4 was placed, so the other team was always either killed off or killed the hostages, so i dont blame them for being mad.

When I used to play CS and TF saying GG after a match was pretty commonplace. I hate to admit this but I usually don't say Good Game after a match now because I don't want to draw unesescary attention to myself from the rampant trash talkers.

PMS is great. I met quite a few of the girls at E3 2005, and spent the better part of a day hanging out with Amber Dalton.

we used to say good game at first as well, but then the trash talking (win or loss) started up and i got sick of being nice to idiots over xbox. i think my worst night dealing with people was last night, i think the max amount of people i had muted in 1 night went from 3 to 10. i think the most kills i have had in 1 game was 65 or so, but it was a very unfair match of domination. if it play people with respect, i say good game, but i will not be nice to people that are just going to talk trash even when they lose.

I always say good game whether it is COD4 or Halo 3. I don't care if people want to be assholes or not. I've met some really cool people just because I was nice about winning and losing.

Anyway, if anyone wants to add me feel free. I'll be getting online in a bit.

Those goddamn little Mouth breathing kids!!

I played 3 rounds of Hardcore Team Deathmatch and was lucky enough to get put on a team that had a clan of about 5 with the clan tag as "8-->" and they decided it would be a great idea to all get Headshots....OFF YOUR OWN TEAMATES!!...Lucky me i was prime picking since i wasnt part of their clan and well lets just say 8 to 75 isnt a great K/D ratio

that is the type of people i am talking about joe, i have people like them muted and ignored. i understand working on getting headshots and everything, but on your own team? from someone not even in your clan? i would have just left the room since i knew i would have lost at that point anyways.

I work with Xena's brother. He used to be a pro gamer too, but now he's an investment analyst.

She gets paid $20-$30 teaching people Halo online. Must be nice.

I pretty much just got really pissed off and sick of COD4 last night and shut it off at 11PM (very early for me, seeing as I usually am playing until 3AM). I keep getting screwed over in Domination and HQ match pairings. I am sure you are one of the guys that kicked my ass last night SlimJim.

There must have been 8 matches that I was placed into where a team was 15 points from victory and the team I got placed on was down by 100+. Then there were the games I would get into early on and my teammates were just absolute jackasses. They would play HQ and Domination as if it were a game of Team Deathmatch. I would say about 4 of my 5 teammates every time would just sit around and just snipe or try to camp (and not by a Flag, which would be understandable). It ended up my one good teammate and myself just yelling at our teammates for being such idiots.

On another note, is it just me or do some of the maps for Domination just favor one team 10x more than the other?? A few that are just absolute BS that I can think of right now are Pipeline(it is an early advantage and minor at that), Crash (huge advantage if you get placed at the first spawn where the garage with the car on the lift is), and a few others.

One of the main dislikes with playing Domination is that you get absolutely screwed with spawn kills if the team is any good at all or talks at all (i.e. every map except maybe one or two).

P.S. I should be on after work at about 12:15-12:30 EST time tonight if anyone wants to play.

Think the worst is Backlot? The one with the window everyone seems to love.

Really you spawn on 1 side and its impossible to get out...

i dont remember playing you at all MVP and if someone is at least decent i usually remember at least their username. we have so many people playing with our group at this point that we have to actually split up to fit everyone in. i keep my loyal people with me though, i reward that being loyal with a win almost every time. 2.86 is my win ratio now and it is only going up at this point.

The one with the big statue in the middle is called "Bloc"

Yea, I am not sure if it was you... I was just using it more as a relative statement... Meaning I played against some clans that were really good and just got smoked. You would have remembered me, as I would have been the one yelling at his teammates in the post game lobby.:bomb:

Lately it seems that I will get about 1.5 K/D ratio playing against tough teams and then there will be one teammate that has something similar. The rest of the team has a 1:3 or one time I had a person that was 1 K 3 A and 15 D. The worst was that the dude was bragging how good he was with his level 55 Prestige 3.

Played this for the first time in a long while, pretty fun except for the kids that keep on bitching about stolen kills and other stupid shit.
The one with the big statue in the middle is called "Bloc"
im not talking about that statue... backlot and stike are a lot more similar than bloc.

Strike and Backlot all both be bad places for spawn killing.

Strike-The spawn where C is can be boxed in with no route of escape with 2 people in each exit.

Backlot-The spawn where C is can be dominated from the Stairs that lead to no where and the view from the Construction building.

sorry mvp, that was happening in most of the rooms, except we were doing mostly ground war, so i doubt you were in any. as for morphinekissed, i get pissed if i put a guy in last stand and someone kills them just because they are there. now if they were shooting at you, i could understand, but unless you put them in last stand, dont kill them.

i know that all too well mvp, that is what we were doing mainly was pinning them at C. on backlot it is pretty easy to get pinned at A as well though, if they get stuck in that corner right between that and the construction building, there is next to no escape as well.
