Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Gen. Discussion & Info

Some of the Players in Team Hardcore are complete and Utter idiots.

Search and destroy on hardcore...3 of us are heading to Point A to plant the Bomb...I kill 2 guys and im thinking the other 2 guys on my team have my back while I plant the bomb...Im halfway through planting when BAM! get shot in the head with a Deagle by my own two teamates who then proceed to plant the bomb theirself....this happens ALL FOUR ROUNDS!!!

Not to mention some of the little Kids that dont understand the Meaning of Friendly fire. Or getting knifed in the back as soon as the game starts. And no matter how many times i Say it before the match begins to take out Martydom...Someone decides to be a retard and get his teamates killed.

This happening to everyone else? or am i just an Idiot Magnet.

I've had it happen a couple times, yeah. Try playing with more people on your friends list.
Oh, and turn off your Idiot Magnet perk. :p

Prestige people are just people that play Cod 4 way to much. They arent always better than no prestige people. I beat a whole team of prestige 1 and 2 people and I am only a level 38
 
I'm level 37 and just got my K/D ratio up to .73 last night.

It feels good goin to bed after a round where you won Headquarters and had 10 kills and 7 deaths.

One game last night I was ripping shit up. I had like 26 kills and 11 or 12 deaths or something. I was totally psyched. Then like the very next round or round after I had the opposite numbers: VERY DEPRESSING!

I have a question, when i get my last perk unlocked, the grid that they appear on to show unlocked after he game, it looked as if there was one more perk, but no more lvls to unlock, anyone have any idea, again?

Sorry man, I havent leveled up to 55 yet so I dont know. I think once you get to 56 you can start a prestige and maybe that unlocks a perk, but if you start over you lose all your perks so this doesnt make sense adn it seems I don't know.
 
I may have had my most satisfying match last night.

Playing Ground Wars/Team Deathmatch at Crash and I was using my stealth mode (Mini-Uzi+Silencer+Bandolier+UAV Jammer+Dead Silence). Ran up on the roof and knifed 3 enemies, went back in the stairs cause I had a field of red below me and got 3 more on the stairs and then back up to the roof and 1 more. My friend was just laughing like crazy as he watched.

P.S. Never let a friend who hasn't played the game play on your system... He absolutely killed my K/D ratio.

Ugh. I've only played through act 1 on veteran. The only two parts I had trouble with were the one I described above and
in the main room of the TV station. At least I knocked out all his damn TVs

It is started...baddly. The squeaky voices that could kill Satan himslef have been on an increase tonight. I am absolutely sick of these little kids screaming in my ear. That and idiots that don't know how to play HQs that aren't new to the game. Hey team, lets all stand around humping the base and not spread out to capture the next HQ... damn. I guess I can retire this game for awhile.

Basically, in CoD 4 nothing at all but the ability to have your group recognized by others when either you play on your own or with friends in matches.

Funny thing is that I have had a Clan Tag since the first day I started multiplayer and it has been CAG before they even formed the clan on here but I rarely if ever play with people from CAG that are on my friends list.

You just better hope that when you are playing that people from your friends list or others you know are online because if you aren't in a party together then you won't be able to play with them often. Also, make sure whoever the host is of the lobby has a good connection because if they get disconnected the lobby will automatically close.
 
I hate HQ games because of the people who play it like its TDM. I don't care if someone sucks that is fine, but you should be out there dieing as much if not more then me in an attempt to take the HQ. Instead they camp on the other side of the map sniping ending the match with an impressive score of 3-5.....
 
Pretty annoying how they drop you into games and force you to lose.

I seriously got dropped into a Sabotage game on Bloc where the other team planted the bomb, and there was literally 6 seconds left on the fuse. So I got into the game for 6 seconds and lost. WTF?

Whoever said flashing he couldn't be more correct. I literally run at the beginning and stab the first guy as he comes out of the bathroom. Chuck a flash as I'm running dodge to left empty a clip in those guys. Knife 2 run to the next room Flash immediately rush the right side kill kill, go up right staircase flash empty room kill kill flash the long hallway run run run run and you'll get to the last doorway which swings open and you have to kill the guy. I can beat it now with about 10 seconds to spare. If you want I could take a video of it.

there are generally 4-6 people playign this on my friends list everytime im on. plus 2 guys i work with have been naggign me to get it and play with them.
so, heres to high hopes =)

That is when the bigger man in me stoops to their level and just start talking shit to them...

So, if you are a CAG, and I am not on your FR and you encounter me doing this, know that it is only for the reason to get these little bastards to leave... Many times it works too.
 
I had fun playing with some CAGs last night. I'm off to internet blackout Thursday, so that's probably the last bit of online gaming for me until January. We got destroyed on HQ because of some newness, but reverting to team deathmatch made it a lot more competitive for us.

Anyway, good times, hope we didn't scare you off the game completely, Kendal.

Intenet blackout thursday? WTF is that? I got a few requests from CAGers last night but was in a pretty sweet match with other freinds. It was HQ and we happened to be the lucky team that takes the HQ and then the next one spawns right next door. Our team was pretty decent adn good at scattering towards the end of teh HQ time so I was rapidly improving the K/D ratio by defending HQ's and just mowing down streams of baddies rushing up one stairwell. I literally had like 7 kills in a row with my newly acquired P90. I called ina chopper. I love doing that becasue it is so rare. It only got 1 kill though stupid thing.

What is the name of the map that is super super small? It's square. Well this wasnt the map I got my chopper on, the map I got my chopper on was the boat level. The HQ was like up in the (umm..I forget the word, where you steer the ship from..oh yeah THE BRIDGE) and I was just covering the door. There is only one entry point when the HQ is in this room right?
 
Last night the only person talking was a kid yapping away. After a while he says "why isn't anyone else talking?" and I said "shhhhh... it's a quiet match."

"Oh. Sorry." And he shut up for the rest of the game. :)
 
That is funny, about the kid shutting up and you saying "Shh it's a quiet match."

A freind of mine and I had a similar conversation:

Him: "Heath are you there?"

Me: "Yeah"

Him: "Why aren't you talkin."

Me: "Because I'm trying to concentrate and fuckin kill people."

It seriously is hard to talk and conentrate sometimes at the same time. The game is pretty intense and I get focused on it so maybe I just suck at multitasking or am good at doing one thing right.

My mom and fiance say they can always tell when I'm talkin on the phone and gaming at the same time b/c I'm a horrible conversatinalist. They'll say "I can tell you're playin your game so I'll let you go." and I'll respond something like "Huh? oh....okay....loveyoutalktoyoulaterbye!"

Oh shit one game i was soo pissed off. I was having a great HQ game pretty early into it, 10 kills and 5 deaths then the phone rings and it is a DJ we're lookin to hire for our wedding. I HAD to take it i was so pissed. I ended up quitting.

Hey that reminds me, when you leave a game, you get a loss yes but do you still keep your kills and deaths? Does quitting affect you K/D ratio?

What's up everybody! I picked this up from the Amazon sale and started to play it a few days ago. I'm currently stuck at the
end of the sniping level near the ferris wheel.
Do you guys have any tips?
I'm at the portion after the helicopter drops of a million soldiers and
I'm having a tough time staying alive on hardcore. Thanks.

Also, I did run behind the bumper cars, but I encountered at least 9 grenades before I died LOL x 2! I didn't try that route too many times though and I think I'll stick with it for now. Is it a countdown timer situation? Or do I have to kill everybody to move on?
 
It's a countdown timer situation.

I found a glitch spot right behind one of the legs of the ferris wheel that caused the enemies to not attack me (on Veteran).

I waited for the chopper to arrive, and as soon as I moved from the leg all of the enemies who spawned that didn't attack me just brutally rushed me.

It was the most enemies I had ever seen, but I was able to just run with my crippled buddy and make it.
