CheapAss ESPN NFL2K5 League?

Okay here is the latest. The league is set up. Here is the info:

Name: League X
pass: cheapass

Its case sensitive. You'll have to scroll through like ten pages of leagues to find it probably. Everyone can go in and put the team they said they'd be on here. Do not pick the Texans, Jags, or Giants. I want to discuss that with the few people that are remaining on here. The one friend that was mentioned on here, Dennis T, and pds319 are the people up for the three final teams.

Birbo and Santurio I'll keep you guys in mind if someone quits.

For those that are having disconnects, don't worry that seems like it is happening to everyone while they adjust the servers.

Also, I've been practicing on 2k3, but don't worry I suck bad. :)

So everyone go in and pick your team. If someone takes yours that shouldn't have let me know. I can match up gamertags to what is on here.

edit- my gamertag is not eddiebelfour...though i wish it was- gamer tag is nick zero, just incase there are any probs when i sign up and the usernames dont match.
 
I just joined, to find the team faster press the black button to search seasons by name. You should have no problem finding it that way. It's way better then looking at 50+ pages of leagues
 
Alright! I just picked up the Game today so I'll be ready to start practicing this weekend. If anyone in the league wants to play over the weekend give me a PM and send me a Friend Request. I will be available Saturday to play.

Can we make a rule against using the goal line blitz in every defensive situation? Obviously it's fine on the goal line, but when people try to cheese their way through playing defense by using it every down it becomes ridiculous.
 
Nah we probably won't have rules like that because it would be hard to enforce. Also, if the opponent runs goal line all the time you could easily run a pass against it and score or get big plays quite a bit.

whiteboy, we'll probably start sometime in a few weeks after a roster update shows up online.

Yeah, can we have a gentleman's agreement to stay away from cheese play? I hate onsides kicks and two-point conversions in the first quarter -- that kind of lameness takes the fun out of playing a well balanced football game.
 
Would appreciate an updated list of people with their proper Xbox gamertags when possible. I'll start putting people into my system once I get a complete list I can print out.

BTW, I'm "Merk Man 2004" on Xbox Live. When I joined a couple months ago, everything "merkman" was pretty picked over. :(

My bad, I thought that Matt X's League was different from the one of the OP, now I realize that it is the same one from the same person. Not sure what I can do now....

I don't think it will let me just exit the league will it??? If not maybe Matt can just boot me or switch me to a new team (if there are any left).

i agree with this, i hope we can all play like "adults". im assuming this will be continuing through school and i dont really have time to waste. lotta classes this semester.

When all the teams get filled up do you have to assign people to play against each other or can anyone just play anyone? How is this whole thing going to work?
 
Matt - Had the list of nicknames, but would love a complete one with gamertags so I can add everyone to my friends list. Heading to North Bend in a bit, and then I'll be back. If I don't see a post with folks Gamertags then, I guess I'll print out the complete team list and try and add the gamertags myself.

I am going to have to quit the league. I just can't get into ESPN and I prefer Madden over it. If anyone wants to be the Chiefs, they can have my slot.

I made a switch here since the Chiefs opened up and they were wanted by someone that already joined. Santurio the Steelers are yours if you want them. You've been active in this thread and wanting a team the longest.

jmon22, if he doesn't want them they are yours if you're interested. Also, as of right now you're the next alternate. I'm pretty sure that another spot could open.

What I'm likely to do is require everyone to sign up by next weekend or tell me why I'm can't. The teams left will be available to others.

i didnt really want to start a new topic about this but im pretty pissed.

i was playing a game online (ESPN NFL 2k5 obviously) and winning 20 to 3 with :45 seconds left. the guy i was playing tried to call a timeout, when it failed he manually checked the pause menu and saw he had none. then he disconnected. anyway i want to know do i get the win? does he get punished in any way?

the only reason i'm mad is that it would have been my first win and i already have 2 losses.

any answers would be apreciated.
