Last week, an advertisement on the official Viewers Choice (PPV provider) website says that D-Generation X will be reuniting at the upcoming Raw brand pay-per-view Vengeance. The preview was changed after WWE management found out it had been posted already. They were said to be extremely upset that the upcoming storyline information had leaked online.
So...what happened to the draft? Did they kill it because it was totally unbelievable last year?
Unless it is truly random it's pointless IMO.
So...what happened to the draft? Did they kill it because it was totally unbelievable last year?
Good point. I think the way shit's been shaken up recently that the draft wouldn't make any impact this year. It worked when the upper card was stagnant, but the injuries recently forced some major changes.

I thought the draft was more towards summer time, although with the recent plague of injuries, I'd have to agree that it doesn't seem very necessary -- all the more reason to do it IMO, to create some turmoil and possibly add back the unpredictability that we were all eating up at the beginning of the year.

If someone finds a downloadable version of the Smackdown vs Raw 07 E3 trailer please post a link of it. It took about 3-4 minutes to stream about 5 seconds of the clip on 56k. :bomb:

Why is Finlay a chump? He's one of the more talented guys on that roster right now.

Okay where is Saucy Jack when we need him....
JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER VS. PETEY WILLIAMS AT “SACRIFICE”

TNAwrestling.com has learned a new match has been signed for the upcoming May 14 TNA “Sacrifice” Pay-Per-View epic event.

In a World X Cup bout, wrestling legend and Team Japan captain Jushin “Thunder” Liger returns to TNA to face off against Team Canada’s Petey Williams in a singles bout to be featured on the Pay-Per-View event.

The Japanese legend last competed at the “Bound For Glory” Pay-Per-View against “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe. Since that bout, fans have eagerly awaited the TNA return of the New Japan Pro Wrestling star.

In addition to the Liger vs. Williams bout, the finals of the World X Cup will take place at “Sacrifice”, as every international star will compete in a Gauntlet Match to determine final point standings. Two stars will begin the bout based on luck of the draw in this elimination-style gauntlet until one wrestler stands victorious.

Tune into “IMPACT!” this Thursday night on SpikeTV for more news about the Sunday, May 14 “Sacrifice” Pay-Per-View epic event!

Ok, I'll bet you. How much?

ECW news

WWE just sent out a text message confirming the following names as being signed for the ECW project:

The Sandman
Francine
Danny Doring
Tony Mamaluke

As we reported yesterday, WWE is bringing Mamaluke in to reform The FBI with Little Guido (Nunzio).

Sabu, Jazz, Axl Rotten, Balls Mahoney, C.W. Anderson. All these stars have already sent their contracts back to WWE.

New Jack stated at an independent show in Pittsburgh last night that he has just signed a contract with WWE. According to sources, there is no truth to that claim.

dam just saw that wrestling reunion where kanyon admiited his gayness in the ring

funny how some wrestlers used their showdown legends of wrestling theme song
I betcha goldberg or chris jericho will be stings partner next week on tna
That would be the only names that would matter, unless Vince McMahon is going to loan God to Sting.

I've been saying it will be Jeff Hardy, but Demo Man has a very interesting idea as well, and I would not be surprised if he was right.
Vito was "Skull von Crush" of Da Baldies, so he was in ECW. Not that anyone would remember.
Uh...I do. Wasn't Grimes in the group too?

I'm surprised James Maritato is going to do the FBI gimmick again. He's stated publicly before that he's done w/it. I guess $ talks.

C.W. Anderson can show HHH how a spinebuster is really done.

I hope WWE never signs that prick New Jack. He's not worth a single dollar.

WWE has informally approached Jeff Hardy in regards to returning at the end of the summer. However, he must be clean, as there is zero tolerance on his drug issues. Friends are saying that he is working on those drug issues.

hmmm....

That post makes me wonder what WWE's stance on their drug policy will be with ECW. If it's the same, I can't see a lot of these guys that have been signed keeping contracts for very long.

You know, now that I think about it, the "new" ECW isn't really that different from the old one.

Wasn't Vince a primary financial backer for the company then? And isn't he going to be the primary financial backer for the company now?

I really hope it's just like the old days..

Sounds about right to me. Now playing the role of WCW in this crazy wrestling love triangle, I present to you TNA.

I wouldn't mind the "Monday Night Wars" again. The only difference is that back then, Vince was a silent partner. With Heyman and Dreamer at the helm, I think that the arenas, entrances, etc will be taken care of.. just have to wonder if Vince will pony up for the themes.

But then again, if he was indeed the backer back then, he also paid for them then. The key factor is how much Vince wants to get involved. I know he'll deliver - he sure as hell did with ONS. But you have to wonder where he'll draw the line. At this point, ECW is set to be the #1 organization. Do you think Vince would let ECW come to the spotlight and put WWE on the backburner? No. But that's what throws me off. He's setting this up to be an absolutely phenomenal(sp?) return for ECW. Looking at the cast alone, I have no reason to continue watching WWE.

I wouldn't mind an "outsider" angle. It'd be fun to actually have believable wrestling angles again. Back in 1996, when I was like 10 or 11 and Hall and Nash came in from the outside, I actually believed that these guys were just going from arena to arena, beating the shit out of people. I got upset when Randy Anderson was fired and he brought his wife and kids onto Nitro to plea for his job. Those were the fun days.

Another thing that I'm worried about is the censoring. Blood probably won't be a problem on PPV, but what about language? I remember reading something about the guy who made ONS TV-14 catching serious hell for censoring them. And what of WWE stars? Foley said something about a barbed wire match coming this Monday, didn't he? Will WWE stars be forced to up their product to try to compete with ECW? Their own "civil war", if you will.. almost like WCW vs. nWo.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but damnit, I can't wait.
you do know that demo already read the spoilers right..
Actually outside of the Sting/Jarrett angle I didn't read the rest of the spoilers as I'm not caring much for this particular angle.
I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but damnit, I can't wait.
RAW this Monday should be... interesting. Between the fall out from Joey "quitting" last week plus the Edge vs Foley barbed wire match.... looks like I'll be tuning in.

I'll try to remember to DVR it.. I get caught up in 24 madness on Monday nights. You know, Jack Bauer-mania running wild and the such.

Dave Meltzer reports that Mark Henry's WWE contract has been extended. Henry signed a 10 year contract with the WWE back in 1996 after he competed in the Olympics for $1 million dollars a year. Henry's new deal is not guarenteed and lasts through 2007. His money has been cut down from $1 million a year dollars to $300,000 a year.

10 years down to 1 year, and a $700,000 pay cut. And not even guarenteed.

yeeeeooouuuuuccccccch!

I'd give Henry an incentive based deal on how many superstars he doesn't injure in a year. Maybe that would help him be more careful in the ring.

WHY WONT THEY JUST RELEASE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got a feeling its because of so many people on Smackdown gone already, and as soon as they get better Mark Henry will just get the cut, and probably TNA will pick him up.
