Maybe Kane's next movie will be "The Mask 3".
I don't know if I should be laughing or crying at the thought of that. ;)

I wonder if they plan on bringing back other members of DX in the coming weeks. I bet myke would be thrilled if X-pac showed up to help HHH win the title over Cena

I'll admit... watching HHH give the Pedigree to Cena at the end had a bit of a satisfying feel to it. Other then that and the Foley turn tonight's RAW is pretty skipable.

There's no need to single me out for disliking X-Pac. That's pretty much universal.

 That may be true, but everytime I think of X-Pac all I can think about is the comment about him you made a while ago. Something about how he should be flipping burgers instead of wrestling

Would anyone want to eat those burgers is my question.....

Good RAW. I like how they set up the ECW vs. WWE fued. Should be interesting. That seems to be the only real thing I care about on RAW though. For some reason I'm not really looking forward to the DX reunion. However, I am wondering what's going to happen to the WWE and IC belts once RVD becomes ECW World fuckin Television champion :whistle2:D

For $7 the bitch better wear a hair net. You'd be safe.

I'll be even safer by eating elsewhere. That's just a given. :D
So is HHH defying Vince going to lead to DX v.s. The McMahons?
I would think so... Since that's what they've only been buliding up to since Wrestlemania...

From ECWWrestlingNews.com

ECW will be launched as a seperate brand on 6/7 during a special live broadcast on the USA Network. The show will be held in Dayton, Ohio that night from 9-11PM, and will be billed as "ECW vs. RAW vs. SmackDown!" as the feeling is Vince McMahon isn't confident "ECW" can draw good ratings on its' own, but that the addition of RAW and SmackDown! "superstars" on an ECW special show will make it seem special enough to draw a good number on an unfamiliar night.

The show is designed to set a few angles up for the One Night Stand PPV airing on 6/11, that weekend.

So, nobody has yet commented on Batista legitimately getting his old ass handed to him by the five time (five time, five time, five time, five time) WCW Champ?

E3 takes precendence, sorry myke. It does sound like Booker did what was right though, and I applaud him for standing up and saying what I'm sure many of the guys were thinking. Here's to hoping this doesn't destroy the push he's getting.

Booker T's Story: http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/20034101

Batista's Story: http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/2727246

Fat fuck Tabloid Leech confirms that it was legit: http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=17951&p=1

Booker, *ahem*, "took him to the woodshed" at the filming of this year's Summerslam commercial. The dirt sheets basically say that Batista was carrying himself like he was "King Shit," and the "boys" didn't think he (1) deserved to, (2) had any right to, and (3) paid his dues. WWE originally was the first to report on it, and the article mentioned that it took Benoit, Finlay, and about 3 other dudes to break up the fight. The WWE article mentioned that it lasted for 5 minutes or so, which, for a fight, is a fucking eternity. What WWE didn't mention is that apparently Booker made Batista into a bitch.

I can see them turning this into a feud (but how to do so without making Batista the bad guy or making Booker the good guy means they'll have to change their on-screen motivations). Not they they'll ever give Booker the belt he deserves, of course.

Not just because I dislike Batista and highly regard Booker T am I taking the side of the latter. I remember Batista shitting all over OVW in interviews after he left, acting as if he didn't learn anything down there, and he was simply too good for them. I also recall the first time I saw him live, he wrestled Sean O'Haire at an HWA practice show (in their gym in front of 50-70 people). Hands down one of the worst matches I'd seen live. Batista's far better these days, but to constrast what he *thought* of himself as a wrestler at that time with how he *actually* wrestled shows, to me anyway, that the dude was, and is, clueless.

Notice, of course, whom he selects when he says who he wouldn't degrade in his WWE interview.

Hands on with Smackdown vs. RAW 2007 at E3.
Of note:

We've also been told that ladder matches will feature some rather spectacular new improvements (you can lay ladders across one another and can also run across one Shelton Benjamin style).

players can now pick up an opponent with the new user-controlled mechanic and drop them on a rope groin first (no kids for them) and then grab onto the ropes and move them up and down for additional damage.

Subtle touches have been incorporated into the obvious too -- giving gamers the choice to rip up a sign if they're a heel, or to hold it up and shake it like a spaz if they're a face. Some animations will even allow wrestlers to pat fans on the back after a sign grab, and if they want to put some extra hurt on their opponent, they can pick up umbrellas, crutches, bottles, and other cool goodies to dish out the pain.

The fourth and final new feature on THQ's to do list is the brand new chain reversal system. Reversals are no longer limited to a couple of transitions either -- now reversals can be infinite if users are astute enough at countering an opponent. A lot of the grapple animations were still be worked on when I played the game, however, and I wasn't very good at countering either... so I didn't get to experiment with it much.

There's a direct feed gameplay video. Looks damn good for this early of a build. I liked the Outsiders/Razor's Edge over the top rope to the floor. Can't wait to make CAW's of Mike Awesome and Masato Tanaka and do that through a table.

Yeah, Trips, Michaels, and Taker. Taker isn't quite as bad as the other two but still...

I would pay money to see that fight aired on TV.

Sounds like one of those things that will get Booker MUCH locker room respect. Isn't it strange that HHH's boys (Batista and Orton) are getting big heads?

Unfortunately, that's what happens when belts are thrown on new talent (can't say young because it IS Batista) before they have had to pay their dues. I won't be surprised if we see this with Cena too after he loses the belt.

I dunno. Cena is on a show with Trips so even if he gets a big head he'll have too much to deal with. Making HHH an enemy would be career suicide.

I guess so, I was just thinking of all of the guys who got early title runs and how many of them had ego problems later on. Warrior, Goldberg, and Lesnar come to mind in addition to Orton and Batista.

me and my friend were talking about this and I definately was feeling booker laying out Batista. Look how much longer Booker has been in the business and how he had to work for his, and Batista was handed his. When someone has that happen, people who had to work for it already resent that person, and when they act like they are the shit they deserve what they get.

If anything WWE could use this as something towards an angle. I would much rather see a fued based off a real life haterid between Booker T and Batista over....... Vince McMahon vs God.
Since the whole locker room seems to be backing him I'd imagine fairly low unless they want to lower morale.
Wasn't the locker room behind Matt Hardy too?
Wasn't the locker room behind Matt Hardy too?
That was different though. Booker didn't go airing his issues online and Matt Hardy isn't even in Booker league.

That, and Hardy's problem wasn't with respecting the business. I don't have any special inside information, but it seems that things dealing with the business as a whole are taken a lot more seriously.

how is the Jake Roberts DVD? Suncoast near me is going out of business and has a ton of copies. Right now it is like 20 bucks, but I figure I could nab it soon for 10 or 15. Would it be worth it?
Would it be worth it?
It's worth it for $20. Jake's self-hatred is an amazing source of how people should do promos these days, and I can't get enough of him getting knocked silly by a Honky Tonk Man guitar that was just a *tad* thicker than the ones he typically walloped people with.

I'll second myke on this. Jake certainly was great back in his prime and he certainly paved the way for a number of other people (ie: his mic work, the DDT finisher). Its sad to see how out of shape he is now and even worse seeing how far down he had gone in his life.

the Jake Roberts DV D is worth its weight in gold. It is sad to see how he ended up though, i still like the guy despite all his problems though.

What's sad isn't how he ended up, but more realistically the situations that happened in his life (namely how he's the byproduct of his father raping his girlfriend's - Jake's gramma - daughter, his sister's murder, and the obvious feelings of inferiority he has to the man who is his father).

What's amazing is that he's still alive. He's been number 1 on the pro wrestling death poll since "Beyond the Mat" or earlier. Even if the movie stretched a great deal of the truth, as Jake contests, it doesn't change the immense self-destructive and self-medicating behavior he puts himself through.

So what's the deal with Smackdown? I thought Rey Mysterio was gonna lose the belt to JBL, but I guess he didn't?

The commercial I saw last night was Rey Mysterio vs ANOTHER big giant man... I kind of feel like this angle has been done before, and pretty recently, i.e Big Show.
