I've seen my share of Okami (even a few original black label Shadow of the Colossus which surprized me) but with it coming out on the wii, i thought the desire for it on the ps2 had dropped. Are folks still looking for it?

for a while it goes for like $50+ for a new copy on ebay, but the demand has since drop.

I think would make more sense to have a new topic for each monthly drop with link to the last few drops and the master list, which is what we currently have. The list is too long with most of the stuff sold out it would not be helpful to list it every time.

I just hope that this list is updated as new drops are posted, and the new additions or further markdowns are highlighted. It's butterfly's thread. His call on how he wants to do it.



And I just saw I already had to edit a post (monkey, I'm looking at you) which was a trade announcement. This is not the place for that. Any and all trades/sales go in the Trading Forum, and there only.
 
Saw this in the bargain bin at CC today after work. Great price on a great game. It was stickered like all the other clearance games.

Didja forget people are still having difficulty getting a Wii? :lol: Better to grab it as low of a price as possible for a system anyone could pick up or likely already has.

Huh? Why? Just because Wii is in short supply doesn't mean lots of people don't have one. Last I checked it had sold more than the 360.

If you have to play it right NOW, you probably already bought it long ago. I guess there is a chance the port will suck since Clover doesn't really exist any more.

But I've got Bully sitting here in shrink wrap and I'm sure it will be better on 360. . .

That was mostly targeted towards the people that don't have a Wii. :p

Either way, it's a great game. $16.96 is friggen fantastic considering the damn game refuses to drop in price anywhere else.

Actually random TRU stores have it for $14.98-19.98 but good luck finding it in those damn stores
 
I found some copies of Phoenix Wright: Justice for All in the clearance, with the price tag of $14.99. It didn't look clearanced though, and they had copies with a similar price on the shelf. This a universal drop or clearance?

Picked up a copy of Godhand, got lucky, and nabbed an Elite Beat Agents after all.
 
Not sure if someone else mentioned it, but it looks like Beautiful Katamari for the 360 is now part of the clearance @ $16.96.

Found a store with Godhand, Trauma Center, Okami, Lunar Knights, and more. A few months ago I was at a TRU that had Elite Beat Agents at $9.99 and had like 20 copies. Are these games rare/valuable or something? I try not to buy just on the off chance that it becomes valuble. I admit I would like to play them all, but my backlog is currently at 30, and thats with selling off 20 games I never got a chance to play. I ended up buying Trauma Center, because my current copy is cart only.

I found all of the titles on the list actually, bought most of them earlier in the thread. I thankfully have fairly lazy CC employees at pretty much everyone I hit, some of them didn't even put out the bins, much less price all the clearance titles. Walked away with a slew of Wii, DS and PS2 games. Found a couple of Okami and Lunar Knights, nabbed those for the wife for christmas. ;)

Only odd thing was seeing the Phoenix Wright sequel in the bin, priced down to $14.99. I think it's a universal price drop though.

Country & Subsistence rang up $16.96 each but CC is having a 2 for $15 sale right now I got both games for $30.:)
 
I updated the list to reflect some of the newly reported games. Question though...CCs usual clearance prices end in .96, not .99. Are the .99 games a different type of drop or still considered clearanced?

Anywho, I was able to pick up a copy each of Elebits and Red Steel from my CC (which I love btw, because it's always a mess and games are thrown together in no particular order on the shelves). I'd love to see some more Wii drops!

39.99 on their website and it's usually pretty accurate for clearance priced games.

Red Steel is on sale this week for $7.99. This has been mentioned in at least 3 threads here at CAG (not sure how the OP doesn't know this). Beautiful Katamari still rings up at $39.99. How about we confirm a price before putting on the list (common sense).

Because with an infant and another son, I don't have time to run from CC to CC to check prices on all the games, nor do I have hours on end to spend reading all the threads here :roll:. All I did was combine the existing threads for the year so people wouldn't have to go searching through 10+ clearance threads to find out if a game is clearanced. If those two shouldn't be on there, I'll remove them. I asked others to post clearance deals they found to be added.


That still didn't answer my question though, about games ending in .96 vs. .99. There are more games than just Red Steel on the list (from previous lists) that do that.
 
to get the GBA final fantasy on clearance price do i just grab it form the shelf and present it at the register ? or is there somethin else to it
 
Butterfly, you should pm neocisco about your question since he works there. He's also the dude who lets us know about any new drops or clearances so his word is gold. But I think .96 are considered clearanced games while .99 are considered price drops.

Just bring it up to the register and ask them to price check it.

Thanks mitch for the info! I will PM him to check. Was just wondering since almost all the info was pulled from his lists. The employees here don't know jack about the clearances....I can't count the number of times I've brought a stack of games to the counter for price checks and gotten an odd look from the employee followed by the old "Well...they're all marked" :roll: And then the shock when a "$50 game" rings up for under $10.
 
Well Circuit City didn't have any Beautiful Katamari's in stock so if anybody is having trouble finding anything else on that list and would like to trade, I pretty much have access to all of it, then please PM me!

It could be YMMV but with a clearance price ($16.96) I figured it would be wide-spread.

Oh and apparently the 2 games of $19.99 or less for $30 doesn't work on clearance games, at least not in store. You might be able to get the cashier to override though if you have the ad with you as the ad has no asterisk or anything so you could argue ANY game under $20 should be 2 for $30.

I don't know what I did but when I picked up two copies of Custom Robo DS they were listed at 15 dollars.

This is not true. I bought 4 clearance games, and all came up $15 automatically, so I don't know where you're getting your information from.

There is no "YMMV" clearance deals at Circuit City. It's either on clearance nationwide or it's not.
 
I went to pickup some 360 games today, was looking for Just Cause, Over G Fighters, DOAX2 and Superman returns. Struck out on all except DOAX2 which had a $16.96 tag on it but rang up at $8.96. This was at the Rocky Mount, NC store.

I am going to try to hit up Greenville, NC CC tomorrow morning and hopefully they have the rest of my targeted list.

This info is correct. Anything that ends in .99 is either a sale or price drop and should not be posted in this thread (this is a clearance thread after all). Circuit City clearance prices almost always end in .96.
 
what exactly does it mean to be on clearance? I couldn't find a designated area for clearance items.

I saw NBA Street Homecourt for PS3 at my local Circuit City today. It was in the same drawer as all the other new PS3 games and the price tag had $29.99 on it. Does this mean it's not on clearance? Or does the clearance price of $16.96 show up at the register?

Many Circuit City stores do not change the price stickers as quickly as they drop (which is a benefit to us). Bring it to the register and it should scan for $16.96.

I did see on the CC website that Hitman Blood Money which was clearanced @ 16.96 for awhile, dropped to 14.99...which is odd.
 
Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal is on clearance as well for 16.95.. my gf just bought a copy for her brother.

Weird. I picked up Bullet Witch and Viva Pinata the day the ad came out and I got charged full price for both ($16.96 and $19.99 respectively). As for the Beautiful Katamari thing, I was told by a friend he was able to pick up 2 copies for $16.96 each recently and AFAIK he would have no reason to lie about it so I can't explain it unless maybe his store accidently marked it down early.
