Once in a while they'll remove a game from clearance or put it on sale in the weekly ad. Not sure why though.

It was a rare find before it went on clearance, in my experience. Now that it's been on clearance for a while, you've got a challenge. Especially since most CCs near me can't be bothered organizing their games.

But that could work in their favor since that meant they probably wouldn't have updated the price tag on it. Unfortunately, someone took the OP's master list and posted it on gamefaqs PS2 board.

I couldn't find any of the clearance games at my CC when I went yesterday, they had bins full of PS2 and xbox and xbox360 but not the other games. I looked on the regular racks and no games either, I guess the christmas shoppers just bought all the games out.

BTW, for MaidenOfSorrow-- both my games had different price tags, $59.99 an $29.99 respectively, they both rang up as $8.96 and $16.96.

Damn I went to CC (Union Square, NYC) the other day and totally forgot to look @ the PS3 games since I was mainly looking for Yakuza and 50 Cent Bulletproof...which they didn't have >_<

It seems like the clearance stuff I want is always gone before a list is made anyway.

I only want NBA 2K7 from the PS3 list though. I don't know if Def Jam ICON is even worth $17 as EA really dropped the ball with that game.
 
Sort of off-topic, but Just Cause for PS2 is marked at $9.99 at Circuit City but it rings up for $39.99, so they had to give me the $10 price on Monday morning. I've heard the PS2 version is the worst version of the game, but since I play my PS2 more than any other system, I figured I'd go for it...

1000% batting average, create a master list in a thread, title it so, have it copied and pasted to other boards = stores are cleared out.
 
Found Phoenix Wright : Justice for all for 14.99 today at CC. Don't see it on the list so I thought I'd post. I've had more luck looking on the shelves for the clearance stuff rather than the bins, which are usually picked clean of nothing but the dregs.

You were looking to BUY Bulletproof? Just kidding, although noone who shops at Target is looking to buy it as it just hit 4.98 on clearance @ Target and there are lots of copies at all 8 Targets in my area.

I just picked up SVG 4 pack (Pinball Hall of Fame, Star Wars Starfighter, Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3, World Championship Poker) for $8.96 in Apex, N.C. It was 16.96 in the OP. BTW there is one left.
 
I managed to grab the last copy of Armored Core 4 PS3 for $16.96. It was still marked as $59.99 in the glass case with the other games. Thanks OP :applause:
 
How many and which games will be 8.96 during the ad Circuit City has for Jan. 6-12? See the sticky but it says 10's of clearance games for 8.96.

I don't think the exact details are known just yet but I have a feeling it may be all the $16.96 games. :pray:
 
^ I hope there won't be a price glitch like the last time they had a similiar sale over the summer when it was 25% off clearance priced games. The sale prices weren't in their computers and a bunch of us couldn't get the message through to their cashiers or managers that there should be an additional 25% taken off the games. It took CC 3-4 days to update their computers with the sale prices.
 
Possible YMMV experience, but I went to a fairly new Circuit City nearby to pick up Custom Robo Arena with the hope of price adjusting next week. My wife actually bought it for me for Christmas, but the return period would have lapsed before next Sunday, so I figured I'd buy a new one and return the old one to reset my return period.

The last time I was there, it was still marked 29.99, so I had a feeling it wouldn't have sold out, and it turns out I was right. I grabbed one and had someone price check for me just to make sure it rang up as $16.96. Well, it didn't. It shockingly rang up as $8.96 instead! Could next week's sale price already be in the computers? I was looking for Lunar Knights too, but it was all gone, so I didn't have another game to verify.

Anyone else buy clearance games at Circuity City today?

That would be awesome, all the PS3 and Wii games are locked up in a case at my local CC and everything appears to be tagged full price (at least the NBA Street Homecourt I picked up a few weeks ago was). I'll definetly pick up Full Auto 2 for $8.96

YES - The $8.96 prices might be in effect already. On a whim I decided to get one of the Eyetoy games, but I couldn't remember which is on clearance, so I had some scanned - Eyetoy Play 2 came up as 16.96, but Eyetoy Kinetic is 8.96 (its in the master list from last month as 16.96). I also got Wii Tiger Woods 07 but that was still 16.96

So it seems like some, but not all, of the 16.96 games have dropped to 8.96. We're just going to have to get in there and get price checks, unless someone comes up with a master list.

From the demo I would say if you liked Wing Commander or any of the other old-school space combat sims then you will like it. Be prepared though as IT IS CONTRA ON 3 LIVES ONLY/NINJA GAIDEN HARD.
 
I have played Project Sylpheed to death to get the achievements...It required about 12.5 complete playthroughs. Difficulty level was extremely hard at first, then it became extremely easy. I would say it is worth the $9.00, just be prepared to play for 20+ hours if you plan to get all the achievements.

In the past I have always been able to do this, though it has been a long time since CC had continuously dropping clearance prices that were frequent enough to be in the 30-day return period. I was looking at my receipts and the earliest from the last clearance drops is from Dec. 6th, so I'm heading in today to try to get a few things adjusted. I have stuff on there like Kororpina, Metal Slug Anthology, Elebits, Lunar Knights and a few others in addition to the already documented Sylpheed and Custom Robo Arena. I'll let you guys know what else has dropped if the adjustment goes smoothly ;).
 
Thanks, I hope they adjust and hope Metal Slug dropped. Now I have to find my receipt and I hope I didn't throw it out accidently thinking I wouldn't need it.
 
im gonna try the price adjust today. i got project slypheed for $17 a while ago...gonna bring the game and receipt to try. if not, i'll just return and rebuy it.

edit: i was able to price adjust. i just brought the receipt and the game so they can scan it.

I bought Trauma Center DS on Sunday and it came up as $16.96. Did the prices change today?
 
Hopefully all of the 16.96 games drop to 8.96 by the time the flyer is out or even better before. Looking though the posts over the last day or two it looks like all of the 16.96 games on the DS & 360 may be ringing up 8.96.

Kind of reminds me of when they had that clearance back in the summer of 2006 with games for different systems going to clearance early for 8.96 but different systems dropping on different days.

After looking through these last two pages, I see that pretty much all the games I checked other than College Hoops 2k7 have already been mentioned. I was pretty happy about TW07 (got the last one) as that was the only 360 game I was really looking for. I would have liked to snag Phoenix Wright or Hotel Dusk (Don't know if it dropped), but I'm happy with what I got. By the way, for any Houston area CAGs, the Pearland CC, still had a bunch of Elite Beat Agents, a few Project Sylpheeds, some of the random 2007 sports titles, Godhand (didn't check for a drop), and a few other of the $16.96 games that I didn't check.
 
All of the $16.96 games are not ringing at $8.96. I got Yakuza (PS2), Project Sylpheed (360) and NBA Homecourt (PS3) today for $8.96, and they checked several others for me including Driver: Parallel Lines (Wii), Untold Legends (PS3) and they were still $16.96. Luckily, I bought another PS two weeks ago and I'll be able to get that one and any others price adjusted when I go home this weekend.

Oh, and I might be looking to trade Yakuza and Project Sylpheed. Sorry, wrong thread (heh-heh)...
