This makes things rather confusing as you have an example of a PS3 game that dropped to 8.96 and one that is still 16.96.

Yakuza is a perfect example of a game that I had some interest in but held out on at 16.96 but will pull the trigger on at 8.96. I wish Circuit City had price scanners as it would make this a lot easier.

I am in the same boat as you. However, it just came to my attention that the game hangs in a certain point for PS3 80GB users. It's unfortunate that previous firmware upgrades haven't fixed the issue yet.
 
Full Auto 2 on PS3 is still $16.96, the clerk must have thought I was crazy when I said I didn't want it since he said he had no idea PS3 games were that cheap
 
I returned to Circuit City (the same one where I got Custom Robo Arena yesterday for $8.96) this evening with my copy of Lunar Knights with the hopes of price adjusting. Unfortunately, when the woman scanned the game, it still rang up $16.96. So it looks like this one may not have dropped.

Kororinpa Marble Mania is still $16.96. I bought it though since it was the last copy and this was the only copy I saw of 3 CC's I have been to since it was added to the clearance.
 
Hopefully, all of the $16.96 games will end up dropping to $8.96 starting on Sunday. I know I picked up a few and wouldn't mind getting back $8/game.

I stopped by Circuit City today and for anyone interested Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii along with Okami were still ringing up 16.96 as of Monday.

I'd say it'd be worth checking your store out if it's not a long drive. It's been 16.96 now for about 3-4 weeks but if your CC is lazy with retagging the clearance games (as a lot of stores are) it could still be around, I'm pretty sure that if you read though the thread you'll see at least a person or two that have found it over the last week.

IMO I think you should call your store if you are looking for a particular title. I picked up several $8.96/$16.96 titles at one Circuit City, but I drove to another one today, and they were completely wiped out. At least in my area, I doubt there will be much left when the Jan. 6 $8.96 clearance sale actually starts (as most titles were picked up during the previous clearance)
 
Can I still price match if they no longer have the game in stock? I got the next to last Bullet Witch and Project Slypheed just under a month ago and they're out of them now.

Actually you wont be able to do a buy and return at a different location if they dont have the game in stock. (ie you want to use a coupon) If you want to price adjust it is not a problem.

Got Final Fantasy V and Children of Mana for $8.96. Lunar Knight rang up for $16.96. I was hoping Final Fantasy VI would be a clearance item as well, since it didn't have a price tag and it was the last one, but it rang up for ~$30.
 
I would trade my copy of Bullet Witch for Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom if anyone has a copy of it...

BTW picked up the last copy at the Gateway CC in Portland.
 
Looks like it's time to run back to CC to get Children Of Mana adjusted to $8.96. Hopefully, LOTR2 for 360 and Full Auto 2 will also drop come Sunday.
 
For price adjusting, can I bring it back to any CC or does it have to be at the one I bough it at?
 
Hmmm... Elebits for $17 might do the trick! I think I need to stop at CC on the way home tonight and check it out. I'd also LOVE to get Elite Beat Agents for $9.
 
Hmm did I miss something? What's with this $8 clearance this coming Sunday? I did read about it in Speedy's thread but I don't know if they're dropping the $17 games down to $8 too or not. I'd love to pick up LOTR:BFME2 and FIFA 07 for $17 total.
 
Can anyone confirm Def Jam Icon for PS3 for $8.96? I see it on the newer list but did see anyone mention it in that thread? If so, it looks like I'll be returning the copy I bought for $14.98 at Target that I didn't open yet
