I'm starting this in a new thread so that way its easy to find. I'm also including a FAQ on what is going on so everyone PLEASE read it BEFORE posting the same "is Halo going to be $7.96" and "demomanTNA I would marry you if you hook me up with Resident Evil 0 pretty pretty please" posts.

(If you are a hot tall big tittied brunette then I might consider it... especially if your name happens to be Traci Brooks lol)

FAQ

Q: When does this start?
A: Right now.

Q: How long does this clearance go on for?
A: As long as it takes to clear out these games.

Q: What's new with this Version 1.1 compared to the previous list?
A: Games that were $7.96 are now $6.96 and ones that were $11.96 are now $9.96.

Q: What if I see a game that is on the previous list that is not on this one?
A: Either most stores have sold out of that particular title (so in effect they decided not to list it again), or its not been dropped.

Q: I hear rumors of titles like "Halo" going on clearnace for $7.96. Is there any official word on this?
A: At this point of time there is NO (and I repeat NO) plans on putting titles like "Halo" on sale. However I'm not going to rule out any possiblity of such a sale going to happen down the road but for now there is no word on such a sale.

Q: I've noticed my local store has had many employees working the gaming area? Is this any indication of that sale that you just said is not happening as of yet?
A: More than likely your local store is both remarking the said titles that I just posted the list for along with preparing for the 360 launch.

Q: Are any of these titles available on CircuitCity.com?
A: Sad to say no. As these have been on clearance for a good month plus the .com site has gone through and sold the vast majority of what they had when the clearance first started. Henseforth why the titles are not coming up on the site as well as they have been removed (its pointless to keep a title listed when its no longer available on the site).

I'll try and answer any other questions throughout the day along with updating the FAQ in case I missed something that should be mentioned.

A new CC just opened near me this weekend. I'm betting they won't have any clearance games. Or at least they shouldn't if they don't want dead weight in their brand new store already. But then again, there's the chance that some leftovers were saved for these new store for whatever reason. Eh, I might check it out.

Thanks for the heads up OP and to the other OP that started a thread related to this.

I decided to pick up Gungrave: Overdose last night as I was hoping to get it at $5 or less but decided to pull the trigger since I'm not sure if it's gonna last though Christmas and hopefully go cheaper and I've been playing Blood Will Tell lately and enjoying it :)

I think my CC had a ton (5 or 6 copies, maybe) of Onimusha 3 -- I could pick one up for cost+shipping, though I'd rather trade for a clearance title I wanted but couldn't find.

Picked up Kung Fu Chaos (Xbox) for $6.96. I didn't see it on the scans but it's been on previous lists.
Thanks for the heads up, DemomanTNA et al.

Did it have the original UPC or the stickered UPC on it? I remember KFC was one of those 'value games' so some stores still had it at some higher price, like my CC.
But it's possible the value one could have been marked down by now

It wasn't marked with the 'value games' stickers. It was out of the security shell just like the other games that were clearanced at $9.9X a few months ago.

What are you looking for? I don't remember too clearly what mine had, but I think I should be able to remember if I hear a game. Though I only looked at PS2 stuff.

PS2
silent hill 3
DOA2 Hardcore

GCN
Mega Man Anniversary
Baten Kaitos

I'll try to get down tomorrow and see if they have any of those. Actually, I'll probably hit a different one just to try and find any of the games that I'm looking for.

at my local cc they had a fair amount of games in two clearance bins, a lot of games marked on the list and some that weren't. But the sign on the bin said that they were all $15 or less, and it seemed that all of the games were marked $15. Are all these games $7-10 now? Will the new price only show if you buy them?

depends. when i found onimusha 3 on the shelves earlier in the week, it still said 49.99 and when the clerk rang it up, it showed 6.96. His head almost exploded...

I was able to find a couple copies (one for me, one for a friend, none of this reselling BS) of Riddick at a CC in my area. Thanks OP!

I found Onimusha 3 at Millbury after all. I had to dig through the racks to find one, as most slots contained 3+ different games. I only found one, unfortunately. It was marked as $39.99 but rang up fine. Couldn't find much else other than the 10000000000 copies of Tekken Tag Tournament.
that's the title i'm the most interested in.
Likewise. At my CC no Riddick, but they did have the same copy of Breakdown that has been sitting in the bin for the last 2 years!

And no, I didn't break down and buy it.
Unlimited SaGa isn't worth more than $3. Don't bother with that pile of shit! :bomb:
Yeah, I hate the spinning wheel in combat. I read that the recent sequel in the series isn't very good either.

I also got in on Batten Kaitos and Mega Man Anniversary for NGC at 6.96, both as gifts, being I have them already...
If it helps anyone there were about 6 or more copies of Batten Kaitos at the Staten Island, NY Circuit City...

Whelp, here in Mobile, Alabama, the CC has a whole lot of nothing. :(

I did find a Second Sight and Mark of Kri, 7.96 and 6.96, respectively.

I grabbed a copy of Tekken Tag as well, but it rang up as 9.96, and since I was expecting it to be 6.96, i didn't get it.

Man, I tried looking in the Roanoke CC today but everything was unorganized. I do remember DOA2 for the PS2 being there though if anyone is looking for that.

I was in Houma, Louisiana Circuit City and got Mega Man Anniversary Collection(GC) for $4.96. With tax it came out to be $5.38. It had like 4 or 5 left. I didn't even know about the sale until I got on CAG and was gonna post about it. Too bad I couldn't find Baten Kaitos. I also found Viewtiful Joe 2(GC) for $11 something. Lets just say its $12. Also Manhunt(PS2) for $16 something, about $17.

I found a PS2 Destruction Derby Arenas marked at $35, rang up at $5. There's definitely stuff to be found at CC, hiding in the racks behind the newer games. Keep looking!
