D'oh! I knew I forgot something else when I was there yesterday. Now I have to back for that as well. I was completely out of it when I checked out the store - forgot all the DS titles and this.

Just checked out the reviews and it seems worth $11.36 for sure...

That was true at the store I went to - they rang me up in MANY transactions with 3 copies per transaction. Ridiculous, I know.

they told me that it was 3 per customer, so i would have to leave the store and come back later on if i wanted to buy more. i guess it depends on the cashier. that's weird cause previous times i had no problems picking up as many titles as i wanted.

The 3 limit, as far as I know, is not true.

Circuit City had a pretty large internal thing-e that said this was to get rid of all the old games, and sell as many as earthly possible.
 
they had $15 off $100 coupons at the cash register when i got stranglehold today. the $10 coupon did scan but wouldn't stack so used $15 off with other closeout games. made the deal alittle sweeter. individual codes for the $15 off. go enjoy:lol:
 
Here's a list compiled from the OPs of CC clearance threads back to Nov 2006. It took long enough to sift, sort and reorganize the lists from the OPs so if something was reported in a thread and not updated in the thread's OP then it may slip through the cracks until reported later. That's a lot of pages to search and I don't have that kind of time. It also doesn't include the massive clearance lists from before due to the vast numbers of games included and the fact that the majority of those games are long gone. However, some are still lingering out there and as they are reported I'll update this list. This may be better served being moved to the OP.

Actually, some of these can be found cheaper (New) elsewhere.

The 33% off means that they'll be $11.46 each plus tax.

So, if you can get them for less than that, it obviously a better deal.

Rumble Roses XX, for example, is clearanced at TRU. 20% off of $9.98 = $7.98, which is definitely worth it, in my opinion.

Just an example.

Let's put it this way, I have 53 regular release 360 games, and they're all brand new/factory sealed.

I haven't paid more than $19.99 for any one of them, and the average cost per unit has been $13.71. I refuse to pay more than 20 for any 360 game, and haven't so far.

Hell, MotoGP 06 is $7.98 at TRU right now.

For any of those CC games that you can get with the 33% off, it's worth it.

I wish I got the 33% off, instead of the 25% (off the clearance prices) that I got when I bought many of my titles.

Found some more, GTA Double PAcks and Metroid PRime 2. Well, Metroid wasn't on clearance but at $19.99 it's a steal as it's risen in price on the secondary market.

The average selling price on ebay is $20, so I'm curious as to what you're referring to.
 
Man, I found what seems to be the ONLY :xbox: Spartan Total Warrior south of 694 in the Twin Cities today.

Also picked up :ds: Monster Bomber for gifts and :xbox: NCAA 05 for $1.31

:xbox: Fable Lost Chapters for $6.68!

The Fable obviously isn't a clearance title, but the game had a sticker that read $9.96, so a manager gave me the 33% off.


Also, the :xbox: Soul Calibur 2 is priced at $8.96 ($6 now). I didn't see that on any list

Yeah, by secondary market I mean:

Consumer buys from retailer ---> sells to other consumers.

Like private car sales, used textbooks sales, and video game sales on ebay and Amazon. In other words, sellers other than Gamestop, Big Box retailers, etc who buy from distributors or the mfr direct.

And it's gone as high as $30 on ebay, the $20 average includes a lot of used copies, including disc-only and complete editions.
 
Like always, my CCs have multiples of everything. Picked up one VP2 and Meteos (considered Wild Arms 3, Oddword Stranger's Wrath, Spartan Total Warrior). Now I pray to the TRU gods that I can get Okami and DMC collection.
 
Metroid wasn't on clearance but at $19.99 it's a steal as it's risen in price on the secondary market.

LOL, I wonder if I should put up my Metroid GC bundle (new) and a sealed copy of Metroid 2. Then again, Im not that desperate for 50 bucks:roll:
 
The Deptford Sears has 3 Metroid GC bundles for $99 ea... even with the surge in price for Metroid, its cheaper to get a GC at GS/EB....

I remember when Target clearanced them out for $5. I bought 10 from a store that had 70 copies. I bundled them with non-pc Prime 1 that were $5 at Gamerush. They all sold fast at 29.99 for the set, went back to Target and they sent them away - guy said they still had 50 copies *sigh*

Damn you... after going to 6 gs and BB and CC and TRU I broke down and bought a disc only copy of MGS at GS for $17 as for Lumines, I'm not holding my breath.

I thought MGS PO had universally dropped in price shortly after I picked up my copy from CC (and PMed this last weekend to bring the price down)
 
I couldn't even find it anywhere NEW...

On that note... I broke down and got Lumines Greatest hits for $14 new also and impossible find around here apparently too.
 
Just got Valkyrie Profile 2 for $12.24 ($11.36+tax) out the door. The store only had 1 copy on display and it said "Display Box" when they opened the plastic case around the game, there was no game or manual inside, so they looked in the back for me, and came out with a new/sealed one :D
 
Picked up Sonic Gems and Super Monkey Ball Adventure for $8.68 each on GCN, MGS3 Sub for PS2 for $11.xx and Kerplunk/Toss Across for GBA for $3.xx and Agressive Inline for PS2 for $3.xx. I probably didn't need all those games but those prices were too good to pass up.

thanks, what sucks though is that two days before i went back I saw 3 copies of VP2 and when i went back they were gone...
 
sonic that is a very impressive haul man, good finds specially if that was all on 1 CC. i would love to get my hands on subsistence and dmc for 12 bucks :)
 
At Cross County mall as I was looking for a good deal I came across the weirdest shit. It was a copy of God of War II but the artwork on the cover was black & white and not in color like the rest. When I looked at it closer it was sealed in its original factory plastic seal and not a shinkwrap job. It was priced at regular price and it did not look like some floor sample or anything like that. I was so tempted to buy it since it looked like a misprint or something. Has anyone ever seen or have any experience with something like this? Please advise.

Went to 2 stores today and found stacks of Matrix, chromehounds and advent rising and nothing much. But I was lucky enough at the 2nd store to pick up the last copy of Chocobo tales and Pirates. So it wasn't a total lost.
