Though I've found games in the clearance bin that aren't really on clearance, and games that aren't in the clearance bin that are on clearance.
That's CC for you.

Call of Duty 2 (sku: 047875809390) ($16.96)

YMWV It was stickered $39.99 but rang up $29.99.

EVERYTHING decent was gone, decent meaning high trade value at Gamerush. Wanted CoD2 for myself but not for $30. :D

Ya, stuff is poorly marked at my local CC. I usually pick a bunch of games I want and take it over to the cash register and have them scan it to see if it's different than sticker price.
Lame. The CE is lame too, there's no game case inside of it right? I own the game already.
No seperate game case inside.
How much is Kingdom of Paradise (psp) marked at now?
seen this game at best buy for 10. too bad those Gamepro coupons no longer work. I would buy at 5 but not 10
seen this game at best buy for 10. too bad those Gamepro coupons no longer work. I would buy at 5 but not 10
Yeah I haven't seen it at any BB's and I kind of wanted to try it out. $11 ain't bad I guess.

I picked up Kingdom of Paradise PSP for $11.36, Sid Meir's Pirates PSP for $11.36 also, and Scurge:Hive for $6.

Kingdom of Paradise PSP only sells for $5 at EB/GS yet it sells used for $12.99.

I figure $11-12 for a PSP is worth it.
ok, sweet but it won't work if I have 3.52 I gather?
I didn't see anyone answer this question. If I missed it, forgive me.

I believe the DG only works on 3.51 firmware and under. Sorry, bud.

this may have been a previous clearance, but I picked up Metal Gear Ac!d 2 for $6.50 otd today. Was looking for portable ops but no go :(
The 33% off is still going on?
Yep, picked up Superman Returns and The Outfit for 360 today. Cost me 22 and some change all together.

Scored:

PS2 VP 2 - 11.36
PS2 Drakengard 2 - 8.68
PS2 Sprint Cars Road to Knoxville - 6.00

Anyone know the price for Guilty Gear Dust Strikers (DS)?

You sure the sku was the same? AFAIK COD2 has a few different skus.

Finally found my Tales of Legendia reciept; I paid $16.XX, so I should be getting 36.3% back, then another 10% for their gaming club thing...

You mean 33%, right?
If not, where is the extra 3.3% discount coming from?
Supposedly, they PM 110%, don't they?
not themselves...its only 100% with themselves, and 110% with competiters
Supposedly, they PM 110%, don't they?
They match competitors 110%, not themselves.

EDIT.... pwned by jedi :p

Picked up at CC today

PSP MG Acid 2 $6
PSP Tiger Woods 2006 $8.68
PSP NBA Live 2006 $8.68
PSP Madden NFL 2006 $11.36

Got $4 back on God Hand (bought it at 11.XX) and $6 back on Tales of Legendia (bought at $16.96).

Going to hit it up again tomorrow for my free $20 GC...

Godhand dropped from $16.96 to $11.xx? (not couting the 33% off)

Its weird. The price sticker on God Hand said $12.72, but it scanned at 11.36...so I went back and had them do a manual override; they took off 33% on top of what it scanned at; another $3.75 off to get it down to 7.61.

TotA came down to 11.23 after they took 5.73 off of the original $16.96 clearance price.

Good find on godhand than.

Tales of the Abyss was clearnaced? or did you mean Tales of Legendia?

CC does price adjust within a month of purchase right? Excuse my noobness but I've never done it before, and 7 bucks back on Godhand can score me another game. I just found the recipt and I bought it on 8/12..damn. I'm guessing I can't do it then?
not themselves...its only 100% with themselves, and 110% with competiters
They used to do 110% PM's to even their own prices, though not anymore. Changed a number of months ago.

Yeah, ends this week.

Ohbytheway, I know no stores locally have Skate in stock, and it's in the ad as one of the in stock by 2pm today games. Go!

My local CC is BS. The manager told me.. I must be in store from 10 AM - 2PM to get $20 Free GC. I'll check tomorrow at 10 AM see they have Heavenly Sword in stock or not & Let see what he'll say if he don't have Heavenly Sword in stock at 10 AM tomorrow.

Argh Circuit Chitty.

I went to pricematch some clearance games I got for the buy 1 get 50%. Stupid CSR said only the ones in the ad.

I then asked for the $20 GC, they had a sign on the desk.

If it weren't for the 33% clearance I never shop at CC.

I think it's CC's management policy to lie. The ad clearly states that "skate" is guaranteed in stock AT 2PM or you get a $20 gift card. Underneath it says from 2 until close. I went to 2 ccs and got nothing for a giftcard. fuck them
Does anyone's CC have Xenosaga III left??? It was clearanced a while ago but seems like people are still finding them... but not me.
Me neither, I need it to complete my unplayed trilogy. :D

After wasting 15 minutes in CC today, I got the same result. They had no signs posted either at the entrance or the VG section, although they had one for Two Worlds from a few weeks ago. I asked one guy who worked there if they had it, he took the ad and went in back to check. 6 minutes or so later he comes back out and says they don't have it and I'll be able to get the $20 GC from customer service.

I go up there, with another game in hand I was planning on purchasing regardless, and am immediately shot down, saying too many GC's were given out today because of it, therefore I cannot be given one. I argue with her for a few minutes, even told her that the other employee already said about the GC and she points to a sign that was printed with half-dead toner cartridge that says something about due to manufacturer delays, they cannot offer the giftcard for the in-stock guarantee, but gives no specific item. Pretty much, it's a cop-out to not honor their in-stock guarantee on anything.

I finally had enough, told them they need to place signs on the entrance doors, back in the video game section and not just at checkout and to make sure all associates are on the same page. Had I seen that sign before I walked in, I wouldn't have even wasted my time. Needless to say, I set down the other game and the ad and walked out. I'll take my money to frickin' walmart before I go back there.

Are you being dramatic or for real? Seems kind of petty to argue over something they can't control since it was an official delay from EA. It's not like everyone except CC was able to get their hands on the game, which is the real intention of the Guaranteed deal.

It's like when people argue over a misprint in the ad.

The only thing they could've/should've done was put up signs once the store opened today to announce that because of official delays of the release date that Skate wouldn't be honored in the $20 gc deal.

Regardless, they take the risk upon themselves by guaranteeing an item to be in-stock on a certain day at a certain time. If something comes up that is beyond their control, then they shouldn't make guarantees on such items that would be prone to these delays. A guarantee is a promise to have it in stock, regardless of circumstances. They didn't, therefore they should own up to it.

Say that a game was released on time, but due to a shipping error, they didn't receive them on time, they can easily revert to the "beyond our control" mindset. It was beyond their control that the shipping company didn't get it to them on time. What's the point of guaranteeing then if they look for any excuse to not honor it?

I had the same problem. They simply refuse to honor anything at Circuit City. Whether it be a warranty, a price match, or in-stock guarantee, I have never had CC honor a single promise. I absolutely never shop there unless its a clearance item or absurdly cheapass DVD.

I'd like to know this as well. I've been eyeing Tales of the Abyss for a long time now, but I don't think my CC has ever carried the game. I'd be all over it if it was clearanced.
