Dang Gum! Mizzari Has The New Nintendo Playstation!
I was at Walmart and I walk to the electronics section and lo and behold I see a Wii sitting behind the glass. I get someone to get it for me and as I get to the counter, the cashier starts telling me this story. For a long time (not sure if it was launch or 2nd shipment) there inventory has been telling them they had 1 Wii left in the store. They couldn't find it so they just thought the inventory was off. Where did they find it? Hidden behind the pile of PS3's they have in the back room. Those are exact words from him. I thought it was pretty humorous.
That's a funny story.

See OP - this is how you should have started the thread ;) And what's up with that lame thread title - it makes no sense.

Read from the beginning, there was talk from West Coasters that Missourians simply cant afford the PS3, the reason why I found some.

That's the only reason there was a stack of PS3's anyways. This was outside of St. Louis. To many people that can't afford them or 360's. They are forced to buy the Wii or a DS. :D

That was nintendo's plan all along >.>, more affordable --> more customers; more quantity --> more sales. Their name just backs up everyone's confidence in getting the system

It was sarcasm. Read the earlier posts.

Except the Playstation 2 is more affordable yet, within the same generation in terms of performance, and as of now has a much better library.

Correct me if I'm mistaken. The Gamecube was more powerful than the PS2, the Wii is more powerful than the Gamecube. Therefore your statement is completely false. Not to mention the controller for the Wii also.

Xbox 360 has been out for awhile, so it's only fair they would have the advantage over the 2 new consoles. The fact that the 360 has been out for over a year has given game developers time to get used to programming for the Xbox 360, thus a game like Gears of War =O. I read an article somewhere that ASSUMED Microsoft was planning a release with a second version of the 360 which would include a 65 nm Processor, HDMI outputs, and 120 GB hardrive. I never saved the link to the article, so....sorry >.> The biggest drawback I saw in the xbox 360 compared to PS3, no HDMI output, so NO 1080p picture quality, just 1080i. I've played on my cousin's xbox 360, I think its an awesome console, I'll get one when I can.

The 360 can do 1080p through component and VGA

What Wolfpup said is that it's within the same generation, and he's right. The Xbox is more powerful than the PS2, the Gamecube, and the Wii, and they're all in the same generation.
Wouldn't people from Missouri would likely pronounce it something like "mizzurah" and not "Mizzari"?
I didn't bother to read the thread, so I thought Mizzari was some obscure Japanese guy.

I live in Portland, ME and I have seen PS3's everywhere I go.

I have seen them at Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Circuit City, Toys R Us, and even Strawberries!

I know I live in small state so it may be easier to get one where I live. People around here just don't want one for such a high price tag. However, I haven't seen ANY Wii's lately...I'm guessing because they are more affordable.

P.S. Even though I own a Wii I'm not a fanboy because I eventually want all 3 consoles because I can see the value in all 3 of them. My gf also wanted the Wii so it was a no brainer.

Here's more anecdotal evidence of the PS3's availability.

Y'know those "click here for a free ____" websites? Well, to give you the short version of the story, the biggest of those websites (FreePay) didn't send out a single Xbox 360 console until May/June 2006 because (1) they were so hard to come by, and (2) FreePay absolutely *blows* as a company when it comes to getting the item you qualify for. After 6 months, in April 2006, they finally conceded to offering $400 gift cards to people who had been waiting for so long for their consoles.

Keeping in mind that it took them 8 months after release to ship a single 360...they just started shipping out PS3 consoles last week, and a few people on the freebie forum I check up on from time to time (the PS3 is the last freebie I'm expecting for all the sites I finished) received them yesterday, a mere 2 months after release.

Huh? What does that have to do with anything? Complete non sequitur there.

In terms of hardware, the Wii is in the same generation as the PS2 (and Dreamcast and PSP and X-Box for that matter).
