[Dead] EBGames $10 Bonus for ANY 2 Non-Sports Titles 01/30-02/27
they should take turok right?
Any non sports game. Even SOME "sports" are included, like Soccer, Wrestling, any Extreme Sports, and any Racing game.

Most of my stuff was wrapped, since I'd just bought it from TRU and wanted to return it if there was a problem. Only the stuff I already owned was unwrapped.

The only game that didn't work for me that wasn't a sports game was Spy Hunter PS2.
The only reason they don't move more used Jam Packs is that they grossly overcharge for them. $4.99 is the same price most retailers cut them too new when they're no longer the latest release. In fact, many retailers already have the most current one at $4.99. Which makes me wonder what the margins are on those things.

In any case, EB has no excuse for charging more than $2 for something they acquired for a quarter. An 800% markup is pretty generous.
I agree with the price of jampacks - they are overpriced. But don't look at the percentage markup - consider what they're actually making in terms of dollars. For example say I pick up a penny guide and then resell it for $1. Percentage wise it looks great but if you looked at what I have, it's still just a dollar. I would have to sell a bunch of these just to make some substantial money. For stores like EB and Gamestop include rental fees, etc. and you can kind of see why they have to have a big markup.
damn, this deal really hooked me up! I had cancelled my PSP preorder, but today I was able to get it back by trading in enough games to get nearly $250 on my edge card! The best part - I hit 3 TRUs, and only bought 2 copies of some of the really crappy games, and thereby was able to leave plenty for other CAGs!! Could this be any better?!?!
what games did you trade in for psp. anyone else traded in games for psp and save money if so what did you trade in.
Will they only take 2 games a day from a person?

Or can you bring in 4,6,8 or even 10 at a time if you wanted?
I brought in 18 (in addition to 5 others that I traded in for Devil May Cry 3.)

It's fine to bring in as many as you want, but there's a limit of 12 per transaction. So just tell the guy working there to give you credit for 12 of the games or something and then if you have more, make that a seperate transaction.

I don't think they have a limit of how many games a day you can trade in, I've traded in 12 games at the same time last Wednesday.

Can anyone confirm if any of these games work?

All of them work since they're NON-SPORTS games.

I traded in 12 in one sitting, then went to TRU, picked up some more Primals and Turoks (they have like 100 left in the backroom) and went back to EBgames to trade in another 6.

First time the guy scanned them all even though there were duplicates, second time a new guy asked the manager and he said go ahead on duplicates.

I hope that I can trade in the rest of my primals & turoks + other misc stuff without them giving any trouble.

Now I wish I had picked up more jampacks (onlyones left are the $4.99 ones) and more maestro/ejays. It seems someone came by and picked them all up out of the green tag bin, I guess not beeing greedy backfired here when someone else was.

I'm going back to ebgames to trade in another 12 tomorrow, will report back ;)

How much are Turok and Primal at TRU? I haven't had a chance to read through that gigantic 70-page thread yet.

Primal is about $1.50... Turok varies depending on the system. I've seen anywhere from $1 to the $5 range. Go for the Gamecube version since that's the cheapest I believe.

Does EB give you your store credit on a card? I've only traded stuff in at GS, and they give you a paper reciept with a barcode.

YMMV. My store uses the exclusion list.

Yes, they have the EB Edge card where they put all your credit.

Why not print off the promo description off the site that says that any non-sports game isn't excluded? Or talk to the DM?

primal for PS2 is 50 cents

$1.50 at mine

when you even figure the games sell for 50 cents or a buck, add the extra 5 per game they are giving. Total 5.50 or 6 bucks per game. This is about the Same you would hope to get for half of the junk games TRU had dirt cheap. So instead of going the ebay route (fees + paypal fees + shipping fees + worry about being payed) Just take the games to eb

i hope to go This Monday weds and friday and dump around 40 games i got for free at TRU last month

(best is Soul cal 2 6.00 before 5 extra

Picked up 8 Jampacks today at a different TRU . . .

Put 2 on the EB counter . . . clerk gave me the credit. Put the other 6 out and she said they can only take 2 of one game. But she was cool and did 2 more. So I unloaded 4 total.

$21 in credit for $3.20 cash

She asked about the TRU sale and said she was going to go over there after work.

I told her I left 8 JPs at the TRU (true . . . I couldn't bring myself to hoard all of them).

She also said she goes to CAG . . . by name w/out me saying it.

Now I'm wondering, how much would EB pay for Suikoden III? Like, is there anyway I can find out short of going there and asking them? I'm tempted to trade it in at EB, but at the same time, I could sell it on Half or EBay and potentially get more. And then, there's a bunch of PS1 games I want to pawn off but I don't think they're worth anything... does EB give you more than 50¢ for those?

Honestly, they probablly won't even give you $10. I traded in a Fatal Frame II (ps2) last month and was only going to be given $5 for it. When it was on the shelf the next day the tag was $29.99.

Surpisingly, out of the 40 or so crap games I did trade in, one of the titles that I decided to keep was Primal. That game looks pretty cool.

I really liked Primal . . . the combat is crappy (mostly press one button long enough with a little movement and you'll win). But the story and cinemas are really cool. The game is very atmospheric with great voice work.

I finished it . . . these days that's true of about 30% of games I play.

Picked up two Metroid Prime/Wavebird bundles at KMart. I want to trade in the games, but they have that "Not for resale" in blazing glory, and I'm sure the barcode probably won't scan accurately at EB (since this was an exclusive for KMart).

Has anyone tried to trade this in? Can I trade it in with disc and instructions but no cover? I've thought about printing out the UPC from the web and taping it over the current barcode.

Any help appreciated.

I always trade in the "not for resale" stuff, if it has a messed up bar code, it doesn't ring up and the employee (poor poor man) must manually do it.

EDIT: forgot to ask my question:

is it possible to trade in two of the same games in?

so they do accept any jampacks?
YES! THEY DO ACCEPT ANY JAMPACKS :speaktothehand:
They didnt accept mine. Maybe word is getting around, but they said "no demo compilations". I wasnt about to create a fuss about it, but luckily I only picked up a couple of jampacks to give it a shot.
EDIT: forgot to ask my question:

It might depend on the employee, I did it once with two Dead To Rights GC, I just asked him nicely if I could trade doubles in and he said he would see if it would work with the promo and it did.

www.ebgames.com will than go to trade in games on the side bar to the left, down a little bit,. It shows you how much the money you will get for each of them is and if they are restricted or not, but it doesnt say anything besides sports games is restricted
Thanks help1, I'll give it a try.
Thanks help1? Thats a CAG first!! I MAY JUST QUOTE YOU FOR MY SIG!!! Maybe tom.

where does it tell trade in value?
Primal is $1.50 at my TRU, Turok is $3.48.

So I get $10.75 for $5, not bad, I'll end up paying about $100 for my PSP.
EB only gave you 75 cents for those two games before the bonus? Whoa, gotta avoid them.

How much does an EB Edge card cost? On their website, it says you need to buy one...

find a hott girl to trade em in for you. the ebs have been fussy about crap trades lately, so i have my gf do the demos and other crap games. it's funny hearing about all the flirting stories after she's done with the trade. hott girlfriends come in handy.

As long as system accepts it, they'll take it. I traded a few today. He just didn't want to take them. Sorry to hear that.
i got summer and winter 2003, and winter 2002 jampacks. i hope i can trade them in. Especially the duplicates.
I think it's harder now since EB games has been cracking down on the TRU sales. They pretty much know about it very well by now. I have like 4 jampacks and I can't return them and I don't know what I'm going to do with them (probably trash them) since we all know they won't ever do this deal again.

Oh, thank God. I thought they had changed the list to prevent TRU games from being used, but the (non-sports) list doesn't matter at all?

Tomorrow I'll trade in the 6 games I got for a guaranteed 30 bucks, and more too, but I don't expect more than 40. Which is cool because I only spent 22 at TRU.

But, I will only go if Star Fox Assault will be at EB tomorrow, anybody know if they'll have it in stock tomorrow?
