I'm gonna put mine to work. I need two hands for the game. On an actual note, I showed my girlfriend the girl's cosplay pics a few weeks ago and told her I'm going pick up the game now.

Just because she tells you she doesn't want you to play an oversexualized game doesn't mean she wants to control you, fyi. Perfectably understandable, just like some women don't like porn or want their men to watch it.
 
hoping that since WB Games is publishing in NA there will be an all-costume DLC bundle after release, because I really want the MSI costume but I'll be damned if I preorder anything at Gamestop
 
Pre-ordered. As long as I can get the anime costumes, especially the Highschool of the Dead ones, I'll be happy.

I'm married, and although I didn't say the quote, that situation just comes off extremely jealous. Geez, it's a frickin video game! Commercials, movies, etc have attractive women in them. It would be very difficult to go through your daily life trying to avoid exposure to anything oversexualized these days. I personally don't see the big deal. It isn't comparable to porn at all.
 
Is this a hack and slash? I watched the trailers but have no idea how this plays. Since there are three sisters, it is co-op?

From what I can tell, it looks like Dynasty Warriors. Is there something else to it?

What video gave off the Dynasty Warriors impression? Some of her attacks are flashy, but I don't think it's anywhere near that category. I guess a comparison can be Shadows of the Damned, but a better one is probably No More Heroes.

This is a 1 player game. The sisters are just characters in the game. There hasn't been any mention or footage of them being playable.

It is a hack n' slash game. If you've played God of War then this'll come naturally. As for co-op, no there isn't. It has been confirmed that the game is Singleplayer only with no form of multiplayer.

1) Ultra liberal feminists
2) Ultra conservative religious nuts

Nothing to do with jealousy. If your wife is somewhere between, you'll be fine.

On the subject of offending women, my fiance is possibly even more excited for this game than I am. Guess I got lucky.

That is the definition of wanting to control you if she is trying to bar you from something so trivial. Sorry, not all of us are door mats to women because we're so happy to finally be in a relationship.

my lady is actually encouraging me to get this so she can play it as it reminds her of the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with zombies. Kristy Swanson Buffy, not Sarah Michelle Gellar. gonna try and convince her to buy it.

Well call it what you want. I've had friends/family who were in those kind of relationships/marriages. God forbid they ever make a comment about a guy/girl on tv being "hot", "cute", "pretty", without someone getting pissed. Even if they were movie stars, singers, whatever. That just always came off as jealousy/insecurity to me. Not like they would ever get with MovieStarX to begin with.
 
Hmm...I still have a $24.99 pre-order @ Toys r Us ($20 GC from that Google Offer). I'm wondering whether or not to actually play it or sell it for $40-50 on release. Are costumes, if any, actually on disc? If they're going to pull the DLC card for the US release especially since so little of 'em are pre-order bonuses, it'll be ridiculous.

As for the girlfriend issue, she would be more excited about it if Juliet had her hair down. Both her and I share a similar dislike for pigtails.

The Toys r Us google offer that happened months ago? I believe that expired already, you may want to double check the expiration date.

EDIT: Nevermind, you already have it pre-ordered, so you're good to go. Just be careful if you cancel since that google offer is past the expiration date. Who knows if you will still be able to use it on something else.
 
Yep, that's why I'm iffy about canceling the pre-order. The only reason I pre-ordered it in the first place was that it was going to expire soon and TRU didn't have anything I wanted for in-store pickup.

Since posts seem to be disappearing from this line of discussion, I'll keep it brief. Essentially, the bottom line is that two people come together and (hopefully) settle on relationships terms they are both comfortable with. Kids? Work? Porn?

Many of the problems relationships encounter can be traced back to failing to come to such agreements. There is nothing wrong with leaving and/or not taking it to the next level with someone who is too overbearing to your liking.
 
Oh my, this was not in my plans but went ahead and pre-order. It will be a nice break between Dragon's Dogma, Last Story and The Secret World.
 
Not sure if anyone else has played this yet, but I played it at PAX a few weeks ago and didn't think it was anything more than a bad Bayonetta clone. This smells like $19.99 within a month of its release.

When you say bad Bayonetta clone, how does the powerup things related with the guy's head factor in? From all the stuff I've seen, they have kept the gameplay itself sorta out of the trailers and what not. What I did see looked so ridiculous I just want the game, like right now.

I'd also be interested in some more detailed gameplay impressions you had from your time at PAX. While I'd love to support Suda, I won't overpay if a game is poor.

I played this game with my gf a long time ago back in college. The who would you hook up with/have sex with when you had the chance. I was going to say Shakira but I had her go first and she said my roommate. I had to explain to her that you are suppose to name attractive people you would never ever be able to hook up with, not my roommate who you hang out with on a daily basis.
 
I played it at PAX. It definitely was a fun game, but not so fun that I would pay $60 bucks for. $44.99 isnt too bad, but I will probably wait for it to be $29.99 or less

Canceled my GameStop preorder and went with Amazon...I had a bunch of free giftcard credit sitting there anyway from my Bing Rewards accounts. Got this and Tenacious D: Rize of the Fenix for $30 shipped...thanks OP! :D
 
So I wanted to wait till my next credit card billing cycle to see how much more reward points I would have, and after using those, I'm gonna get this game for about $20. Pretty sweet.
