[DEAD!] Playstation.com deals thread (tax+s/h not included)

Dammit. I would use it to pre-order GTA SA or Killzone, but neither are being sold through their store.

That completely sucks. I was looking forward to getting ESPN 2K5, Nascar 2005 and Viewtiful Joe for over 50% off... :(. I'm very sad now... no games to look forward to.
 
Barring from any other restriction they may have with the coupon. How about using it to buy some threadz? They have the Gran turismo cap for only $5.99 among some other stuff that are under $10. Or how about some old PS1 games?
 
I got the cancellation email, but the site still says I have my order, anyone else have that too?

I wish they would have done this earlier, but oh well at least we get something. Too bad there doesn't appear to much worth buying, parasite 1 and 2 are backordered, star ocean second story is back ordered and they want 49.99 for the first shadow hearts!!!

Only game I saw that looked like a decent deal was final fantasy tactics for 14.99 so it would be 4.99 plus shipping after the coupon.
 
Why is that? every coupon it says if anything is left over you lose the money right, but they never let you use it for anything less. Ebgames does the same.

But on topic it's too bad it looks like we wont get our Burnouts and Phantom Braves and whatnot....:(
 
I just tried buying something over $10 (Socom 2 hat $12.99), but it says the coupon code doesn't work! Did anybody have that problem?

Goddamnit. I just returned the Gallop Racer 2004 I got from EB on pre-order last month because I thought this deal would go thru. Now I doubt I'm ever going to see another copy again.
 
Well I got the email, order being cancelled, but got a ten dollar coupon out of it. Currently I see the order is still processing, I figure should say cancelled within a few days.
 
But as has been stated, it's basically useless. Most of their games are overpriced on the website and shipping kills the deal so in the end, I bet only a fraction of these coupons will ever be used.
 
Yea but now we have a number, DOnt like it call and complain. Ask for free shipping or a bigger coupon the worse that can happen is they say no.

They made an error that too many people jumped on, I bet if only half the people had caught on to it they might have honored it.

My sympathies for those who actually purchased the games to play.

As for the rest.... well, I'll leave that one alone.
 
feel free to try, but it;s not like you;re going to find anything on the site worth using it on.

I doubt anyone is going to lock the thread, the title already lists it as a dead deal so the discussion can continue for what ever reason.
 
Well, this is freaking confusing. I got three e-mails saying that my order had been cancelled. When I go to check up on the status of my order, I get four separate charges under the Payment Information area (one for each game individually, then one for the total). Then, at the bottom of the page where the final total is after shipping has been calculated, it says this: Amount Charged to Credit Card: $62.29 Amount Charged to Credit Card: $62.29 Amount Charged to Credit Card: $62.29 Amount Charged to Credit Card: $62.29

Still no activity on my card at all, though.
