I think Act Three is still a completely viable farm zone. Just run around clearing champion/elite packs then eventually do Seigebreaker, and if you want to continue, Azmodan. While Act One drops are much better than before, the rate at which you can get higher iLVL items is increased in Act Three, obviously.
That said, Act One definitely seems like the prime spot to farm now. Rather than do straight runs yesterday (five stacks then right to Jailer/Butcher), I went around with my five stacks clearing all champion and elite packs. I didn't get much to sell on the AH, but I wound up with like 3-4 full bags of stuff to vendor or salvage (roughly 80k and a bunch of mats is fine by me).
Act 3 is not fun. Seriously, horrible enemy design for melee and purely annoying. Spend all day tanking mobs that are focused on running away, faster than me too, forever is not my idea of viable. If they don't run, the base unit has high HP and causes damage spikes with attacks. It's a horrendous zone that's overpopulated on the main map and because everything runs away, it causes you to pull far too many mobs to handle at once. Garbage design, garbage zone.
That said, you can chain act one into whimsy if you want and the mobs are much more predictable and so are the maps. Whimsy can still be engaging if your gear isn't ideal yet, but once you've got it on farm it becomes a half hour run to clear whimsy, warden, and butcher. I get plenty of 61+ items a run too, probably 5-7 on average. That, IMO, is the only viable farm right now if you can do it. Leaps and bounds better than one siege run any day.
