Dr Pepper: 2011 Promo (EA Games DLC)

So, I take they are starting the BF:BC2 codes on the 18th or 19th? I already have a cap from the BF:BC2 marked bottle.

Well I checked the Dr. Pepper website this morning and BFBC2 is still not listed as a game that I can redeem DLC points for...if that makes sense. I'm only seeing Sims 3, Battlefield Heroes, Mass Effect 2, and Spore. It's the 18th, what gives?

Lame, yeah I checked too but I think somebody mentioned they heard they would be up on the 19th despite what the BC2 in-game store says.
 
anyone notice the graphics shown for the "soon to be available" DLC for BFBC2 looks exactly the same as the current outfits of the characters in multiplayer.. (at least I remember seeing all of those outfits at one time or another as 'My Killer' ) ?

Color shading is slightly darker and blends in more. Like the Russian medics hate is green instead of bright red.

Caps with codes will no longer available after this month. Then after a small drought they will return. Check the OP.

Well that's FUBAR. I mean, first they don't release it when the game comes out, then they don't release it on the day that it was pushed back to. Either get it right or don't do it at all...
 
Seems like more and more companies are getting the atittude "Oh, Well they (the consumers) will understand! When actually I don't understand. Why not just avoid setting a date until you "ACTUALLY!" have it ready to ship and you "KNOW" it's going live on that point on. Seem pretty simple to me. You wouldn't advertise a movie, showing on this date, have people reserve tickets, wait inline to get there , then about an hour before show time. say "Sorry we're not just ready to show the film... Hope yoU'll come back later!"

I know in this case its about free content, but it's really the point because it happens alot

*Sigh* Why is it EA always fucks up on Battlefield releases? Every single battlefield game I have bought, the servers don't work on launch day, and now even though they had MONTHS to deliver this "free" DLC, they fuck that up too.

I just don't get it, how hard is it to mess it all up so badly?

seriously, can anything work right with this game?

dont get me wrong,i love the game, i play it everyday, but damn EA how many times must u fail on a BF game.

Can we rename this thread to "EA's fumble"? Still can't use my caps. Still can't register my game, still can't apply for veteren status, still can't view my stats on their website, (as advertised in their e-mail 3 WEEKS AGO), still having wonky stats on the game, still getting randomly booted to the dashboard upon loading a match, and still waiting for the DLC. EA deserves the "Epic Fail" that is used in BFBC2, because all of the above is far worse than crashing a chopper upon takeoff.

I completely and utterly agree. The sad thing is, I've also bought Battlefield: Modern Combat for the original Xbox, Bad Company 1, Battlefield 1943, and now Bad Company 2 either right at launch or at launch day and EVERY single game has had server issues. It's pathetic, really.

It would not bother me so much if it was a new issue, but this has been a recurring problem for many years!

Btw, what is Veteran status supposed to give you? I vaguely remember it unlocking a new weapon in Bad Company 1, but how is it different in the 2nd game?

While I enjoy the jokes, I'll keep the title straight forward. However, feel free to add tags like that if you wish. It' sad that this promotion is spiraling out of control and EA/DICE is doing a bad job supporting a good game and upsetting the community.

I'll do some minor updates around to fix dates since it looks like it will be a while.

I still can't add 1943 and 2142. Plus i keep getting some stupid notification in game about my skill level going back to 0 and to get back into the game.

Can't get my stats to update in that website either, just stays blank.
 
Do the free re usable dr pepper codes work with the BFBC2 DLC as well? I'm only getting the notification to get the Mass Effect 2 head gear which I already got.

Any insight on this would be great.
 
did any0ne read the post over on the EA(BFBC2) forum where someone spoke to a person with promotion, (link http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/440593.page )

The mention its a problem with getting the somehow linked to our accounts. Doesnt that seem a bit weird and a easy fix would be to just put it up as regular content and not do all this go - here, go there and link crap.. Just issue a code like all the other DLC? What is so hard about that, sure makes you now wonder about all BFBC2 Content, Why all the need to change a system that works in the past
