Is any of the DLC worth it? I'm considering Warden's Keep, but the rest look short and overpriced. I will not be getting Awakening just because of all of the issues I've heard about, and it sounds too short for what it's priced at.

The two which launched with the game (The Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep) are definitely worth it. The rest it really depends on how much you loved the game. All of them have Achievements, so they're worth it in that respect. They're all pretty short though. And Awakening is definitely worth it, it'll take about 15-20 hours which is a lot more than many full retail games. If you can find it cheap I'd recommend it.

And how random is the loot in each playthrough? I understand certain characters may drop specific items that are specific to them, but can this be randomized at all? Do they have specific loot tables, or is it just all of the random loot piles/chests/etc?

As a general rule of thumb, you will never find anything particularly useful in a chest. There are exceptions obviously, but don't feel the need to drag around someone who can open them if your party wouldn't call for it anyway.

I've also been molested by Revenants. Boy, they took me by surprise...twice. Finally took one down, but it killed my tank and made my rogue tank. -.- Running Rogue (Main), Rogue, Tank, Mage-Support, and it works fairly well. Finally got the Mage of the party very well suited with tactics, which helps a lot.

Revenants are tough. Probably the hardest regular enemies in the game, so no shame in losing a few characters to one.
