nope forgot he just said his manager said yes... Im going to wait till monday to send in the rebate form i will call them back later today and try to get names. Then again names wont help you cause who is to say 6 weeks from now IF you dont get the rebate they could always go we dont got a worker here by that name

I'm still pretty mad about the Paper Mario trick . . . Why would you want to alienate your loyal customers this way??? It can't be that much money considering their volume and the fistfulls they make off of all the other customers I see in their stores.

Most people sell their games for the squat they give and buy without discounts or rebates.

How many completed PM rebates did they decline to honor? 100? What would $2000 be in the scheme of things? Plus, its just more sales when we cash the voucher.

I have ordered Getaway and just printed off the webpage showing the price and the blurb about the voucher for future evidence.

picture wont help you a bit if they play ""its a temp price drop card"" and a ""rebate cant be combline with those"" . That is the Card they played with all the paper mario 2 games
 
i am one click from ordering CFE but I am worried they will change the rebate amount once they fixed the date on the form.

The vouchers are up?

Are there codes somewhere? When I put these games in my cart they are not any cheaper. Do I apply a code?

I think they just mean the vouchers can be found on this page ..

I called EBGames.com to let them know about the mistake in the rebate. Hopefully, they'll fix it quickly.
 
*cries* I wish one of the stores around me had more classic games...or that their employees aren't hoarding certain rare SNES games so that I would sell them my 1 GB memory stick for cheap. Oh well, does any EB employee know if the employee discount can be stacked on the driving force pro steering wheel?

I've dealt with them once or twice and never had any issues with them. From some of the horror stories I've heard, yes, they don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

Though, I call EB and I don't feel like my head's going to explode. Just when I read slidecage's posts.

Exactly -- Anyway - I got in on the Getaway Black Monday .. coupled with a used copy of Banjo Kazooie Grunty's Revenge for saver shipping.


Just glad to get another $20 online gift voucher... its never failed me yet. Ive probably taken advantage of a dozen of them.. online. Although I will say that Ive never bothered to utilize any vouchers at any B&M stores... probably because its easier to purchase games online while Im at *work* ;)
 
I went to EB and bought Balck Monday and Bard's Tale and they were still brand new! I was expecting gutted copies. The guy didn't even know about the sale. After a short minute of explaining to him, he said something like, oh if it's a flyer then I think it's buried somewhere back there. He goes to find it and shortly, he comes out with the flyer.

I really want both capcom fighting evolution and getway because of the voucher but they probably won't let you get both, or will they? Still, I'm happy!

Robocop - .39
Dragon Warrior 3 - 9.99
Dragon Warrior 4 - 15.99

The DW3 was marked as DW2, so of course I didn't say anything. It also came with the box! I think a piece of plastic is loose in there though, need to get a security bit.

I finally have all of the DW series for the NES! :D
 
Just got Bard's Tale for $10. It was a display copy, but I was willing to pay $10 for a display copy in this instance.

They do have a flyer for the 'Summer Sale' and it lists the Bard's Tale at $9.99. So anyone who has an EB that is sold out should have good success with PMs.

I didn't bother looking at any of the voucher deals.
 
Wow! Good Job! My EB doesn't have very many good NES games (just MM5 is worth mentioning at the moment) but they did have tons of awesome SNES stuff!

I've sent copies of my UPC in the past without any issues.

The B&M rebates don't need a UPC, just the form and the receipt.

Eh... Bard's Tale for 9.99 isn't worth dealing with the morons at EB, methinks.

It will be 9.99 everywhere sooner or later.

Bard's Tale is one of my favorite games this generation. It's definitely worth a playthrough and dealing with whatever morons you have to.
 
They fixed the text on the online rebate. 7/15-7/31 in all three spots. Guess my phone call did some good, or someone else who called them like I did.

I know that one doesn't work, since I asked them the first time I sent in a rebate if that would work and they said no. Had to be the back of the box UPC.

Thanks for the early heads up on this one OP as they didn't even have the flyers out in my store to be found anywhere. A good example of how I may not know about alot of deals thanks to lazy workers but find out about in advance thanks to CAG :)

Just Bard's Tale PS2 for me and by some miracle it wasen't gutted

I surely would have had a good look at the 50% off games if I had a store near me that carried that stuff

I'm also considering doing up one of the games with a GV but am not sure which one yet. With all the trouble lately with GV I'm only planning on trying one game though if any.
 
It's hard to pass up having a disc for the Halo downloads for $19.99 if the guide is $16.99.

There are soooooo many Halo 2 guides everywhere I go. Best Buy's have like 50, Media Play's the same amount, every TRU seemingly has 30+. I know that places buy guides based on how big a game is expected to be but don't they ever THINK? Who needs a guide for a game like Halo 2?
