Every Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Deal!

CAGiversary!

Seeing how Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (releases 11/10/09) seems to be the most hyped game of the year, if not the decade, I decide to throw all the deals for it together in one big thread. I included all the major retailers and websites, along with a few oddball sites that had some pretty good prices. Good luck getting this game cheaper than this, CAGs!

NOTES:

1. Prices DO NOT include shipping costs unless otherwise noted.

2. These are the prices for only the Xbox 360 version of the game. However, I would certainly assume that the PS3 version has the same prices. The PC version may be different, however, since the PC versions usually contrast from the console prices.

3. These are the prices for only the original version of the game (not the Hardened or Prestige editions). Kinda obvious, but just wanna put that out there for all you knuckleheads.
Can you use the bb rewards zone member coupon too and get the 10 dollar gift card. meaning 30 dollars in savings
Odds are prolly against it ...unless the manager was extra nice or just inept

Oh everyone going to BB ....just do like im planning to here in a lil while ..... print off several of the TRU offers for PM'ing purpose and then print off several of BB PM policy from the site.... then give em to others in line around you...never hurts to help out others
its in their policy.

How do you handle a price match if the Best Buy price includes a promotional offer such as a free gift card or rebate?
The Best Buy net purchase price is calculated by deducting the value of all instant and mail-in discounts such as rebates, free offers and promotional gift cards. Existing rebates and free offers associated with a product purchased at Best Buy will not apply if a price match is executed.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...=cat10011&contentId=1118843518460&id=cat12098

but anyways i just called best buy and they said they would price match and let me use a rewards zone coupon too.
So what you are saying, or rather their policy is saying... is that with a Toy's R Us ad they should sell it too us for $40... and if they let us use the coupon $30... and maybe if we are really lucky get another $10 GC like it says in Best Buy's ad?? Hmmm...

No.

What that price matching policy states is they deduct the gift card from the price of the game. Meaning, if you ever return the game, you will only get $40 dollars back. What people fail to understand is that when you get a "free gift card" with a game, you ultimately are paying for the giftcard + the price of the game at a cheaper rate, in the case of a free $20 dollar gift card, a $40 dollar game so to speak.

Just a heads up for anyone planning to PM during the Midnight launch event at BB, I learned that my local BB will only be open to purchase the game and won't have their customer service section open. In order to pricematch, you have to go through CS. Now this may not be the case at all BB's, but just a heads up to double check because you may not be able to do anything more than buy it tonight and use the reward zone coupon.

Has anyone seen the flyer listing the ToysRus deal? I'm taking a day off work to get it so it would suck if my local ToysRus doesnt have this deal.

I have been to many BB midnight releases and they always have the games at the front of the store and you go to customer service to check out. They also have a manager if not store manager there.

fail of me. i had the wrong copy and paste

How do you handle a price match if an instant gift card is included with a purchase?
The value of an instant gift card with purchase will be considered when calculating a price match. If the combined value of a competitor's product and instant gift card is lower than the combined value of Best Buy's product price and instant gift card, Best Buy will match either the price or the instant gift card value, depending on the offer.

but i called my best buy. they said i could pricematch and use a rewards zone coupon. i didnt specifically say that i was going to price match the toysrus gift card though. but he said i could pricematch and use a coupon

If you buy the game using the 10 RZ gift card code then return and repurchase with one of the second games you get an extra 10.00 off. so 39.99 for MW2. I did this with the halo and another preorder deal.

There systems wont prompt the gift card if you price match prior to purchasing. The manager would have to do a manual discount or you'd have to return and repurchase.

Since its getting close to Launch here in the Eastern time zone,

Does anyone know if B&M Wal Marts are getting the Hardened or Prestige Editions?

I have the $100 from my 360 arcade giftcard and the $60 for the game. I would really like to get the Hardened Edition but only if WM has them. I saw labels for the normal edition the other day but nothing ofr the others.

Just traded in 360 Saints Row2 and Boom Blox for $40 off at GS...have lots of credit there and wanted the 20% off the Collector's guide....

Tomorrow picking up copy number 2 at TRU with Up!
lol now to figure out all the TRU GC combos/freebies...

No doubt the store manager is there, all I'm saying is that it may be easier to PM in the AM rather than hoping they will during a midnight launch. You might be buying through the customer service counter but it doesn't guarantee they are willing to do anything more than sell you the game for the price as marked. Of course if you know they manager or confirm they will PM, then more power to you.

Think I have shot with bringing my receipt(s) in the AM to PM?

How do i get the gift card at Toys r us? Am i supposed to mention it or something because i have not seen it advertised anywhere.

I took my TRU ad to the BB store tonight and the clerk and the store manager denied me the $10 or $20 difference from TRU's ad. Weak. They said "BB doesn't honor promotions. Only price matches."

I'm going to take their own copy of their price-matching policy and get my extra money off from them.

My local Best Buy said that it's giving away free gifts to the first 25 people.

There was about 20 people when I passed by... and this was just 9 pm pacific time.

What is this FREE GIFT???

well i had bought my game at best buy tonight so i could play when i got home. tomorrow i was gonna buy it at TRU to get the $20 card and also use the $20 card i had from ODST. after that i would return the sealed copy to best buy. well, i ended up getting the hardened edition though and i didn't even think about whether or not TRU would carry that version of the game. now i feel like i can't open it.

does anyone know if TRU is gonna have that version?

It's doubtful - the Hardened edition is on their web site, but I highly doubt they'll be getting that one in stores.

that's what i'm thinking too.. ahhh! i don't know what i should do.

I'd say take the TRU ad to BB tomorrow morning and get the TRU $30 promotion credited to your BB purchase. I was denied tonight for some stupid reason, but I'm going back tomorrow and showing them their own fucking price matching policy. That way I get the Hardened edition plus the $30 TRU discount (the $10 instant deal plus the TRU Reward Zone 10am-2pm $20 deal), on top of BB's own $10 gift card they gave out to BB Reward Zone members for buying MW2.

For all of you guys who are going to try and get TRU's deal PMed tonight or tomorrow, make sure you bring a copy of BB's own PM policy. Especially where it states:

"

i remember hearing something about a $10 card, but i didn't get one tonight.. hmm..

my only problem with price matching that is that i already have a $20 card to use at TRU, but matching it is better than nothing i suppose. i'll go grab an ad tomorrow if they don't have it and try to match it.

If you goto the best buy policy linked earlier in this thread it says that best buy DOES do instant gift card with PM. They do NOT , however, honor B2G1 or B1G1. The trick is that you have to PM after purchase not during the sale. Their policy states that if you PM you loose any BB promos that are being offered. Just print out their policy and bring it to them, and ask to speak to a MANAGER, not a specialist or CS assoc.

I Just bought MW2 and received my 10GC and it stacks with the 10.00 instant off 2nd select game. MW2 and forza both for 99.98 . i wil PM MW2 to toys r us and get an additional 10 off. possibly 20 if the CS assoc is dumb.

Hmmm... My situation is quite different...

Apparently the $10 GC for GZ members was 'down' when they were doing it, so they knocked my game down to $49.99 and made me pay for the $10 GC... Which is essentially the same, right?

Now I want to go back tomorrow and show them what TRU is doing... Do I have a chance???

I originally pre ordered normal version for xbox then also got the presige edition and put the normal version(got for 44.99 with ECA and other discounts) on ebay.
It's at 56.99 and will close in few hours.

Seriously??? Why would anyone pay 56.99 + 3.77 on shipping to get it days later when all major retailers have some kind of discounts going on. Not that I'm complaining but you gotta wonder what's up with some people? Obviously they're connected to the Internet if they're buying things on ebay then they must at least know about amazon.com or other ecommerce sites out there giving major discounts.
Apparently the $10 GC for GZ members was 'down' when they were doing it, so they knocked my game down to $49.99 and made me pay for the $10 GC...
Here they sold it for $49.99 but did NOT make me pay for a gift card. No gift card involved. Just $49.99 plus tax OTD. Plus a poster.

Well over 100 people in line; probably still 40-50 waiting in the cold at 12:30 am. Apparently the reports of traditional console gaming's death are at least somewhat exaggerated.

I went to Walmart, and they were supposed to have signed covers for the first 20 people at every store, but I was way after 20 and I got one anyway. Does anyone know if they just had more, or if they screwed up and didn't give them to some of the first people?

It would be nice if they were actually somewhat rare. If each Walmart got 200 of them or whatever, that would be less nice.
I went to Walmart, and they were supposed to have signed covers for the first 20 people at every store...
Signed by whom? Soap MacTavish?

OK, NVM, I see it's the development team. Just FYI for those like me who were clueless.

Yes, and it's not really "signed" by them as in they took a pen to the cover of the game. It's basically just a ton of signatures that cover a fair amount of the box. It's actually kind of cool looking, and I got the original cover as well.

Still, I really wouldn't mind knowing how many each store actually had.

I didn't get one either. I'll have to go down there for that and try to match the toys r us promo too.

The $10 gift card is not something they would instantly get for you. You have to print out the coupon for it from your reward zone web site.

Prestige edition Question -

Exactly how good is this NVG compared to some sold on Amazon?
How much would you say it's Value is? I can't see it more than $100 at all!

Went to BB last night after work, arrived at about 1035 and was probably 75-90 people back in line. They let 20 in and almost all went to the service desk and got in the preorder line. So they let 20 more in and most all those went to preorder line. They then announce anyone who did not preorder can start cutting line and come inside but preorders need to keep waiting. I ended up saying F my $5 preorder and just cut about 40 people in line got my copy and left. I was tired and forgot about the tru pm but did get the $10 gc.

Seems the people who shoulda have been treated best were handled the worst. I did see all the preorder people leaving with a poster though. Also they had a employee dressed up in full gear with face hidden and night goggles on and thr door guy was in full lieutenant gear.

Next time I there I will just have to get my $5 back. oh yea and most important the online is sensational I've already dropped 5 hours into it. Lol

IGN.com has a review of them up already. Check it out.

Has anyone had success getting a PM at BB for the PC version of MW2, using the TRU deal? Their ad says PS3/360 version only since they don't sell the PC version. Will BB have a problem doing it for the PC version? They are the same price after all.

I'm not paying $60 for this game.
