wow. I might just get the collectors edition now. This is probably the only 360 game I'm buying for the rest of the year.
 
LE looks nice and i really want the in game content
i was gonna preorder fable anyway to get the pub games code though im hoping i can get the code at best buy since i have gcs to burn

The limited collector's edition includes: a bonus disc with a new behind-the-scenes making of video, collectible Hobbe figure, a LIVE trial card and additional in-game content (an Xbox LIVE account is required to access the limited collector's edition bonus in-game content).

I'm tired of LE's that are $20 over regular price instead of $10 over...I'll just stick with the regular edition on this I guess.

Edit: Well luckily for me the LE is only $10 more at Circuit City and comes with a $10 gift card, so I went with that.

Looking at the pub games, this would have been a great time for MS to give them away...or at least one of them. They are already included on the game disc, and they are free for preordering. Considering MS is making no money on this at all really, giving them away for free on XBL could spur some people who would have otherwise completely skipped over the game to possibly take interest and buy it.
 
As far as I know, no announcement has been made about the price of pub games.

If they gave them away free, then it wouldn't be a "bonus" for pre-ordering.

Um...bonus? The games are included on the game disc...so it's not really a bonus.
 
Yeah why would you buy the pub games when they come with either version of fable 2?

I find it a bit weird how the children in fable 2 look more like cartoon characters, yet the adults look more realistic.

you do

The arcade versions are stand alone and on the actual Fable 2 disc, you might have you load up your game and then walk to the casino/pub to play the games or (the more unlikely) have it where you can get into the games through the menu screen.

The pre-order codes or buying it on the arcade just lets you be able to jump into the games a bit quicker or if you just want to play the pub games and wait till Fable 2 comes down in price or just skip the main game completly.

un bim they arnt onthe game disc, tis a totally seperate xbla game which is why they are charging 800 ms points for it if you dont preorder
 
I really hope this game comes in a case with the LE set. It seems like the tins for 360 only/soon to be pc games come in some sort of a cardbord case inside the tin. Masseffect and Gears of War for example. However games that come on the PS3 and 360 come in a normal case inside of the tin. Soul Calibur IV and Assassins Creed both came in a normal case inside the tin.

Also out of the pub games do they have one that is somewhat like blackjack?

The games are like Solitaire (sort of), Roulette, and Slot Machines. IGN has a good video of all of the games in action.

No they dont. they let you cancel it. the employees may be a bit angry, but not a big deal.

I'm not sure, i NEVER shop at CC...perhaps if a Best Buy or Amazon deal comes along, i'll cancel, otherwise i might as well just stick with GameStop. They'll likely have a midnight launch and i don't have classes Tues/Thurs.

I did the same thing with Gears of War limited edition. Maybe ill use the 10 dollar gift card i got with that on this, and get another. Im just not sure i want this game that bad yet.
 
Don't know why but I see Gamestop "giveing" all the codes away that they get on day one and most the people that preordered wont get them.

if that happens, just email Gamestop corporate and explain. They usually hook you up when something like that happens
 
Anyone know if the Limited Edition comes in a SteelBook/Case? Not a tin like Halo 3...if not, i'm going to cancel my pre-order and wait for a good deal like i originally intended to.
 
Pre-ordered at GS with some leftover credit and got my Pub Games code, too.

They had the codes sitting in the glass case, so I don't think they'd be giving them away to anyone because it's a bit of a hassle to get to them.

Just got my pub games card. The odd thing is they didn't even make sure I had it preordered. I just walked in and told them I had it preordered and wanted my card. So hell if you dont have it preordered you may be able to walk into a gamestop and tell them you have it preordered and still get one.

They asked for all of my details.

The odds for these pub games don't seem too good. I think we'd have to play a shit-ton of games to get a decent amount of gold.

I think that's the point ;) I mean, we have over 2 full months to play these and make money.
