Fable II - Gen Discussion & Info
Where do I find the condoms?
I always seem to find them when I stealing from other people's houses. Condoms and pauper's clothes

Like many of you, I'm enjoying the game a great deal. I'm one of those people who doesn't get to the main story right away, and instead, I just eff around and see what I can do. So far, I have like 4 women falling me around Bowerstone with red hearts above their heads, asking me for marriage. That just ain't gonna happen lol. I'll do it for the achievement, but on my second time around.

Is it bad to raise the prices too high? I'm trying to be a g-damn saint right now and the last thing I want is to raise my corruption level too high. I'm selling at +60% right now. Should I lower it? I want a ton of money, but right now I'm not making much.

Money is supposed to accumulate every 5 minutes, offline or online, correct? Well here's the thing: I make about 144 gold every 5 minutes. Before I went to class last night, I calculated that I should make 1,728 gold an hour. My classes were roughly 5 hours long and I figured that I would have made 8,640 gold at the end of the night when I got back on. To my surprise, I had only made about 1100 gold over than entire span. What happened?

I'm wondering if I should get it now, with work and all prob only playing games 5 hours a week, and alot of it is halo, I am debating just waiting till December when I will have time, I know its a long game and all, but thinking being away from the story for days on end may kill it a bit for me

Considering how short this game is it might be worth your time. Plus when your done with the game you can fuck around all you want, just like in the first one.

Money from property accumulates every hour instead of five minutes when you're offline.

It annoys me how investing points into Skill and Strength greatly alters the appearance of your character. My once hot female hero is now a hulking 7 foot, Chyna looking behemoth with glowing electric veins coming out of her cheeks.

I guess after I get the completionist achievement, I'll ditch all the strength and skill attributes to regain my girlish figure ;).

Ok so this is pissing me off, I got married and had a kid,
the chick who pissed off the ghost
, but now I can't have sex with my wife? I get the alert that she wants to have sex and I can set my trail to her location but I can't warp there. When I get there and tell her to follow me and move to the bed it just says sleep. What am I doing wrong? I also found a condom, well my dog did in the ground lol so I'm all set for this chick. House is fully furnished as well. Someone help, this is pissing me off.

I tried having sex with my wife a second time and she was pulling the same tantrum.

Buy the book 'Come Hither' from the bookstore in bowerstone market that will teach you the expression 'Come with me to my place' That should do the trick.

If someone is close to getting "The Completionist" or "The Hoarder", please send me a FR so I can tag along when you do it.

Yeah I dont like that about the armor. I'm still running around with the Halo or Hal armor and I am about 10-20 minutes into it after the Will act so I guess that would be 10-20 minutes into the 3rd chapter or what ever you want to call it. I have just now replaced the sword and I bought a gun. Hell I may even go back to the sword when I have it full of augments.

I also some what miss the Bows however I never really used them in the first one. Also wasnt their some trick to them in the first one? I remember having to aim them and I could be wrong but the more you used a weapon the better you got at it in the first one. So if by the end of the game you never used a bow or corssbow and tried to use it you would suck at it but your sword skill would be high and the damage from it would be higer. Also if you used the bow or crossbow more then a sword you would be better at the bow/crossbow and would not be all that good at close combat when it came to damage delt.

Sweet, I can have sex with my wife now lol! Sooo, I played the game and got past the chest in the camber of fate before I unlocked my LE content and so did I just screw myself for not redeeming my code before I started the game. Anytime I try to search the open chest it says go to Fable2.com but I can't find anywhere on the site how to get my stuff now. I'm enjoying the pub games clothes though.

Great just fucking great. I transferred all of my pub games gold, spent 5 hours playing the game, and doing all this other shit, only to have the game hit a fucking glitch. Now I can't continue through the game because of the monk's quest glitch. I don't even want to play this game anymore.

I did the same thing bro. Maybe it's something they can patch? I'd really like the Hal armor but O well I guess. We still get the extra Dungeon at least.
Am I missing something here or are people really this stupid? This is the card that comes in the still widely available LE right?
...wow

Unless I am missing something too, you're right. And one quick check on amazon shows the LE is still in stock for $69.99.

::Shakes head:: and they say the economy is in shambles.....

No guarantee the guy will pay for the auction. Plus, the auction says he will refund money. I bet the buyer has an excuse in mind already.

Why'd you leave the area?

Well that's true but it's just stupid that they made it so we have to open up one chest. I mean why not allow us to get it in town or something? Hopefully they do patch to fix this but it looks like, with all the other glitches, that they have plenty on their plate already.

:applause:on the ebay item - you are a douche award is given lol
So are you punish in game if you used the pubs game glitch?
Haha. Peter is only creative when it comes to lies.
Why'd you leave the area?
Actually, I never left or entered the temple of light.

When I first entered Oakfield, my number one priority was to explore every single corner of the town in search of treasure. While exploring I happened upon the temple of light. I noticed that that was where I had to go to continue the quest.

I did not want to continue the story right then because I was exploring/treasure hunting. I did NOT enter the temple of light.

Instead I saw a path that wrapped around the back of the temple of light. My first thought was that there was treasure back there. So me and my dog walked along the path behind the temple of light. Sadly there was no treasure. Unfortunately though, that apparently triggers the conversation with the abbot. At the time I did not know this.

So when I was done exploring the town—an hour or two later—I went to the temple of light to continue the quest, but the abbot would not talk to me. I tried everything I could to get him to talk to me, but nothing worked.

Eventually when I realized all hope was lost, I saved my game—mind you I had saved previously, after I already looked behind the temple of light for treasure, so saving did not fuck me over—and I unleashed my frustration.

I proceeded to slaughter every mother fucking soul in Oakfield. Eventually everyone was dead, and I would encounter two super guards every so often. Eventually I got bored of killing them and I turned off my xbox.

It is absurd that something so easily reproduced, such as this glitch, got into the game. fucking ridiculous and fucking bullshit. Thanks Lionhead.

I wish I would have done some more research and picked up the LE to get the cool Halo armor and sword. Anyone word yet if this will be DLC?
Does anyone know how the hell I unlock the two mansion gates in the Fairfax gardens so I can buy them?
Its only available to buy after you beat the game. So the question is, did you beat the game already?
My copy should arrive Tuesday or Wed...reviews aren't looking good :(
What reviews are you reading? I can't think of anything else this year more highly rated (Fallout 3, happily, will be right up there with it--nice time for Western RPGs).

I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this game, although there are folks out there.

Obviously not if I'm asking.
Damn, that's retarded. How much are they anyway?
Obviously not if I'm asking.

Don't honestly, I just remember it popping up after I beat the game in the quest list. If you do buy the castle, it gives you 100,000 recognition points though.

And its not retarded as it makes sense with the storyline. the villain still lives there.

Does anyone have all the dolls? Start a CAG trading session? I've got Lucien dolls to trade, or if anyone has all 5 we can pass them onto one another, for the achievement.

I've got the Hero Doll from the flash game if that counts lol. Didn't look at the achievement yet. Did anybody catch the Fable II special on scifi channel? It was called Hero Factor and I came in late to it. It was basically explaining it to the casual crowd who hadn't picked it up yet but it reminded me of what they did when Mass Effect launched.

Hmm im going to have to get my TIVO on that ASAP

Edit: No luck unless the name isn't "Hero Factor".

I wish I could get all these people to stop following me around. Even running around firing my gun in the air doesn't work.

Mark me down as someone who didnt like this POS game. I loved the first one but this one is so fucking horrible I dont even tell people I bought it. Its so bad that GameStop is lowballing me on the sell back price, they offered me $33 for it the day after I bought it. Game of the year, LOL.

Thank god I got LBP yesterday to make things right.

Well...why?

I will keep this short. Well lets start at the end, what an epic fight that was. I love running around in my pajamas with a boring uninspired weapon killing shit that requires no thought at all. Quests can get bugged if you kill the wrong person, not to mention all the bugs in general in this game and the fucking lagg it generates in big fight areas, the one area where the old bag turns into a balverine my game was crawling, I was shocked my X-box didnt take flight the fan was running so loud.

I came into the game with about 60k in gold from playing the pub games, I didnt cheat I wanted to play it the way it was intended. My guy has about 500k and I own just about everything in Bowerstone.

The trigger for spells being the same as for collecting exp orbs can cause problems. Using potions is a bit tideous it just seems like the game was dumbed down "no child left behind" comes to mind here. Maybe I was just expecting to much, seeing how the first one had such a great foundation to build from.

These are just my thought though, some people probably love the game. For me it was a huge waste of money.

I will admit I didnt search every nook and cranny,I just didnt see any reason too as the only things I ever found were money and potions and the random item that was usually pretty rare and useless. I did finish the bulk of side quests though. I am a huge RPG fan and to not have at least some kind of armour and weapons is a big issue for me. Even if they dont have stats on them just the cosmetic look and feel of these items adds to the game. I wont even touch the retarded co-op mode, its not worth the time.
Im wondering why as well. It's pretty much like Fable 1 in every way.
Well it is different in one aspect. It is good this time around! ZING! Just kidding. I didn't have an Xbox last gen and I hated playing the PC version with a fucking keyboard/mouse. This game sucked me in and is probably one of the best 2008 games. Well at least the ones I have played. I haven't experienced any of what the other person is talking about. I finished the game and completed a lot of quests, but not all.

Same for me, Im already done with the game and I came into it thinking it would be a bigger world than Oblivion and would take longer to beat. I was wrong and I feel like I wasted $60.

Why would you think that? Fallout 3 maybe, but Fable 2 no way in hell

I didn't read any reviews or do much investigating before I bought Fable II, I could still tell you that this game would not be even as close to the size of Oblivion. Unlike Oblivion, this one is good and not boring.
