Why'd you leave the area?
Actually, I never left or entered the temple of light.
When I first entered Oakfield, my number one priority was to explore every single corner of the town in search of treasure. While exploring I happened upon the temple of light. I noticed that that was where I had to go to continue the quest.
I did not want to continue the story right then because I was exploring/treasure hunting. I did NOT enter the temple of light.
Instead I saw a path that wrapped around the back of the temple of light. My first thought was that there was treasure back there. So me and my dog walked along the path behind the temple of light. Sadly there was no treasure. Unfortunately though, that apparently triggers the conversation with the abbot. At the time I did not know this.
So when I was done exploring the town—an hour or two later—I went to the temple of light to continue the quest, but the abbot would not talk to me. I tried everything I could to get him to talk to me, but nothing worked.
Eventually when I realized all hope was lost, I saved my game—mind you I had saved previously, after I already looked behind the temple of light for treasure, so saving did not

me over—and I unleashed my frustration.
I proceeded to slaughter every mother

ing soul in Oakfield. Eventually everyone was dead, and I would encounter two super guards every so often. Eventually I got bored of killing them and I turned off my xbox.
It is absurd that something so easily reproduced, such as this glitch, got into the game.

ing ridiculous and

ing bullshit. Thanks Lionhead.
