Fantasy Football "Who should I start?" thread, Version 2.0
He's already taken. This is a 20 man keepers league so about 95% of the 2nd string backups (guys like Toby Gerhart, Javon Ringer, Mike Bell, Derrick Ward, etc.) are already taken.
20 man? Damn that's an insane number. I think 12 is the max and really thins the market, but 20 means you might not even get a kicker or D during bye week.

Yea, with bye weeks starting to kick in now, we're starting to recycle players. Like I picked up Gradkowski last week cause Romo had a bye. Dropped him this week and someone immediately snatched him up. As for D, we dont draft team defenses, they're all individual players like 2 LBs, 2 DLs, 2 DBs, etc.

I agree. Put in Charles and don't look back.

Kind of a strange week for me, where I pretty much have no lineup decisions to make. My entire bench, except for one player, is on it's bye. The one bench guy not on his bye is Jabar Gaffney, and I am wondering how much longer do I wait for Marques Colston to have a decent game while keeping Gaffney and/or Mike Wallace on my bench? With Big Ben back next week, if Colston gives me another 4 or 5 point performance this week, I may start using Wallace instead. Any thoughts on this?

Jabar and Colston are in the same boat - both play on teams that throw the ball everywhere. That said, I'd play Jabar over Colston because Orton throws more than Brees. That gives more options for Jabar to get that 5/50/1. However, once Big Ben comes back, I'd play Wallace over both of them.
3rd WR:
Nate Washington vs Dal
Lee Evans vs Jac
Aside from Neither, I'd stick with Washington. Atleast he's gotten better opportunities.

I have Louis Murphy as well, not sure how well he'll play with the injury.
Real quick - which defense, Chicago @ Carolina or St. Louis @ Detroit?
I would say Chicago the way CAR has been playing.
Should I pick up Kolb and start him over Shaun Hill?
Is fitzpatrick available?

And Holmes, Murphy, or cribbs?

I'd go Shaun Hill, he's got weapons been legit and horrible D against him. Should be a good game to watch.

Kolb is a bum, he's 3 yard dump and pray for a missed tackle.

I'm at a coin flip at QB.

Orton vs Ryan

Ryan in my lineup but i'm thinking of flipping back to all Orton all day vs pass defense in Baltimore that's playing with mirrors by the shit QBs they've faced.
Who should I start?
Josh cribbs vs. atl
Louis Murphy vs. SD
Santonio Holmes vs. Min
Holmes
I have Louis Murphy as well, not sure how well he'll play with the injury.
Murphy then
Real quick - which defense, Chicago @ Carolina or St. Louis @ Detroit?
Chicago

Went with Orton, i'm in a TD heavy league Orton hasn't been crazy valuable vs Ryan but still a few points a week.

Picked him up last week and been itching to use him since we only get 4 drop adds a year... Crazy deep keeper league surprised he wasn't drafted as we carry 3 team qbs x 8 teams...

GOOD LUCK everyone.

I've fuckin' had it with Flacco. This guy is the epitome of inconsistent. He blows up so you think he's turned it around so you play him the next week and then he turns back to fuckin' up. Then you send him back to the bench and he has a blow up week, I'm really getting tired of this.
ditto with Mark Clayton
Crap. I didn't realize that. Well there goes a loss this week in my league as I started both players.

I started Arian Foster. So far, nothing.

The problem with 3 awesome running backs. (Benson, Turner, Foster). I'm bound to make the wrong choice as to who to bench every week.

my whole team is shooting blanks
Peyton manning, arian foster, mark clayton, boldin, ochocinco
thank god I started brandon llyod instead of austin collie

It looks like I have a good chance of going 3-0 for this week. In one of my leagues, I had Miles Austin, Brandon Lloyd, Ray Rice and Matt Forte starting.

In my main league, I'm currently up by 26 pts and the other guy only has Percy Harvin left.

Dammit. I am down by 14 points going into tonight. I have Tomlinson and Shiancoe and my opponent has Moss. It is going to be close. My team also already has the second most points scored in my league for the week and if I lose I'm going to be pissed. There are 2 other games going on right now where 80 points is going to win and I'm at 120 with 2 more guys left. This is why it is impossible to go 16-0 in the regular season.

had the foresight to bench Forte this week in favor of Torain. combined with foster and gores lackluster day i find myself losing by 5 points with Sanchez left to play tonight. my opponent has nobody. im in pretty good shape, but theres still a chance ill lose.

won my second league game handily, but meh. the CAG league im in, forgot to update my roster and started Cutler, yeah, lost that one.
ditto with Mark Clayton
Clayton has a torn patella and he's out for the season.

I finally decided this week that I would try the Bengals defense instead of the Eagles defense. What a giant fucking mistake. I'm probably going to lose in my money league as a result, unless the Jets score all their points off of running the ball tonight.........which isn't gonna happen.

My money league I ended up winning 99 to 84. He got lucky with Philly's D and Crabtree (also had Gore). Although I did have Foster, Flacco outscored Peyton Manning which helped, but the main contributors were Malcom Floyd and Antonio Gates. This is why I love drafting the top TE.

In the money league at work Im up by 50 pts

He's got Harvin, Edwards, and Peterson left (Im worried about peterson)

Ive got Moss who's playing tonight, should I be worried?

you're probably good, especially since they will be throwing it to moss for sure. but theres a chance, if his guys blow up.

I'm up 12, but he's got Peterson tonight. Not hopeful for a win.

Screw you, McCoy. I benched you cause of injury, and you put up 20 points. :(

Ugh, my team in my main league got destroyed physically this week. Rodgers with a concussion, Clayton out for the rest of the year, and Finley out for three to six weeks with a knee injury. I need to do some re-tooling for the upcoming weeks and am unsure who to claim from the wire.

Here are my QB options:
- Chad Henne @ Green Bay (Green Bay having a banged up defense makes this tempting)
- Matt Hasselbeck @ Chicago
- Josh Freeman @ New Orleans
- Kevin Kolb @ Atlanta

I'm really leaning towards either Kolb or Henne, with Kolb having the edge. That, or I make a trade for a QB which I'd rather not do since I dont see myself having to go more than one week without Rodgers.

Here are my TE options:
- Brent Celek (Obvious choice, but I may wind up winning this week so the odds of him falling to me are slim)
- Tony Moeaki (Would likely be my second choice as he's already had his bye)
- Tony Scheffler

Deion Branch traded to the Pats. I dumped Tate for him. Either one would have likely sat on my bench unless they break out or a possible bye.
Deion Branch traded to the Pats. I dumped Tate for him. Either one would have likely sat on my bench unless they break out or a possible bye.
I'm hanging onto Tate for now. If either busts out, I expect it to be him.

Though, most likely, this deal renders them both as nothing more than desperation starters.

I think it is all in the air between the three (including Edelman). I think the only one we know who targets will go up by Moss leaving is Hernandez.

all three, Tate, Branch and Edelman are bench fodder right now. but only Tate and Branch have the potential to replace Moss as a deep threat.

So Schaub has been absolute crap except for one game. Should I keep starting him or should I attempt to trade him? Also which RB's should I start between Steven Jackson, Green-Ellis, and Ricky Williams?

I picked up Moeaki to fill in for Finley but someone just cut Aaron Hernandez.

Stick with Moeaki or dump him for AH?

Edit: Nevermind just noticed TM is facing the worst ranked D vs TEs. AH, 2nd best.
