FGT 14 wants to fight whoever wrote MVC3's netcode

I had beat this guy in the match just earlier, and he seriously had a fucking shitty ass connection. Just drill clawed over and over again with Wolverine, which was actually sort of viable because his connection was so shitty.

Sitting at 61 and 5 in Ranked now, I really shouldn't have lost 2 of those matches though (they were due to extreme lag). 2 I just got outplayed, and 1 I called in a foolish assist and got X-Factor Sentinel KO'ed with 2 characters at once.[/QUOTE]
I feel your pain. I've been shying away from ranked because the connection is all over the place. I played some yesterday and got my first lost to a laggy Lvl 3 X-Factor Akuma just doing random tatsus and hypers that I couldn't fucking block. We're not even talking about the infinite here....
 
Messed around a bunch with Skrull and Chris today. Digging them both. Chris BnB stuff is really easy, even online.

So far I'm digging (and have put in some time with)....

Dante
Magneto
Iron Man
Deadpool
Sentinel
Skrull
Chris
Tron
Chun-Li

I have played everyone a decent bit, but those are the guys I've mostly been sticking to. Gotta narrow it down though, that is way too many haha.
 
I don't know about you guys, but the netplay on MvC3 is horrible, worse than SSFIV. I've tried both the ps3 and the 360 versions, both equally as bad.

Whenever I play someone I have to basically memorize my combo and input it half a second early. I get the combo like 1 out of 10 attempts online (i can get it 9 out of 10 offline), and Tron's combo's aren't exactly as easy as MMHS bullshit.

I am digging training mode though, easily best part about the game. Though I cannot say the same for the rest. As my friend said, it feels a little rushed.

My team is Tron/Hsien-Ko/Doom. Haggar as an alt for Hsien. Sentinel for when I actually don't want to think.
 
The online does suck to mvc3. I was playing a guy last night I know and beating his ass. Then I rejoined him and got some terrible delay and he started beating my ass. It switches the delays around like tvc does. Where one person has it worse than the other. The online to this game blows.
 
Ive only had 2-3 matches with really bad online on psn. I hear its actually worse on xbox live. I also played one guy and only use sent for assists maybe 3-4 times the entire match, and then never even got to use him in the game to fight with since i beat the guy multiple times without needing sent. He sends me hate mail calling me a sentinel spammer and that im garbage. A quick U MAD reply and he replied calling me a man who loves other men. Gotta love mahvel!

also, option using characters designed to frustrate the shit out of you, i am in shock!

it's just HS into H - lunch rush!

no but really the jump cancel into HS after gustaf fire is easy as shit offline but surprisingly difficult to do online for some reason

Lately the only teams I've been playing are Mags/Doom/Sent and Mags/Phoenix/Sent.
 
Ironman is too legit. I still need to look at magneto though!

Storm however, is probably a no for me. I was never particularly fond of her playstyle and now it just seems worse.

Yeah sorta. He is really hard to control the air with, though so I am trying to learn how to rush-down a bit with him using the shotgun. So far I am mediocre with him... he is hard to learn!

Never use sM, 2M is the better option, and add a sL before. Damage isn't quite optimize on that combo either.

I just want the Achievement/Trophy for fighting someone with 1st Rank or higher on XBL/PSN.

After that I will never play random Ranked again.

Also regarding my team, I haven't practiced Magnus' basic Flight Combos/ROMs. I should get to those haha

IMO, Phoenix is really good even without relying on Dark Phoenix. I know playing Phoenix as an anchor to get Dark Phoenix works for a lot of players, but when I tried Phoenix Anchor teams I hated it. I hate that type of team with Phoenix pretty much holds all your meter/team hostage.

Seems fake, striders sword is generally shorter and more triangular than the one in the picture, and he always holds it on the grip perpendicular to the blade.

I liked DOA... 10 years ago on my Dreamcast. The series hasn't evolved much since then. It's still feels like a janken game of attack/counter/grab

I think DoA Hardcore/Ultimate was the peak of the series for me... ever since then it hasnt been the same.
