FGT 14 wants to fight whoever wrote MVC3's netcode

I need to play option, ive been doing pretty darn tootin online with mvc3 and need to see if i actually got decent or just getting lucky...

p.s. - i played some douchebag who was using lag to win, his name was vietboy114 or something like that. All he would do is spam akuma assist until it was safe then use ryu hyper on hit confirm over and over, and due to lag you get hit by that assist all the time. Total shit team.

-I think you DP'd him once. He could have assumed you were going to DP, bait j.hp and punished. Also he doesn't have U1 to worry about, so it's free meter building.
-Air Tatsu/Move forward!

-Ken does a ridiculous amount of damage on Seth, off of 1 knockdown. OS Tatsu destroys Seth's teleport as a way to get out of Ken's Mixups/Vortex. OS Step Kick stops back teleports and backdashes.

I forgot all my Seth stuff, and the only thing I remembered that ever worked was when you would keep doing jump forward MP. :lol:

j.mp is too fun

It's way risky against Shotos because of the timing. Ryu/Akuma/Ken j.hk is really good in stuffing it.

DP all day. 7 frames of invincibility on HP DP and you can use shortcut motion (DF, DF HP) to react to jumps quickly off of Sonic Booms or walking back-forth/footsies. LP DP trades badly in most situations, so HP is the way to go.

I'll keep that in mind the next time I use Seth. These were Player Matches though, so it's not like I had a lot riding on them. There's a bunch more in the stream link, including one of my Hawk vs. Makoto with both of us at one hit left, and then I get DC'd. Glorious for all the wrong reasons.
 
hey, this wwe all stars game is pretty nifty.

reminds me of the n64 wrestling games, but i still think the n64 ones are better...
 
I still think N64 ones are king. Especially control wise. 4 player WCW vs NWO Revenge is GDLK.

But WWE All Stars is the best thing to happen to wrestling games in awhile.

 
i only played the demo so i'm not sure how it is in the real game

but yeah i didn't like the whole life meter thing/ko. you need the invisible stamina like with n64.

i always liked revenge the best because finishers wouldn't finish so you'd have epic matches.

-Playing Dormammu
-Showing that not everyone in the FG community is a softy. Too many shit talkers on SRK Forums that wouldn't say shit to your face outside the boards.

I grew up in a neighborhood where you had to watch what you said/did. Where you had to assume everyone around you was capable of anything. Couldn't be stupid.

Nowadays the way the FG community is, people just run their mouths over and over (sometimes going completely overboard where it isn't fun shit-talking anymore) with no idea of consequence.

Hmm...

The MVC3 line up that will be added via DLC later this year:

From Marvel: Dr. Octopus, Juggernaut, Elektra, Iceman, Apocalypse, Thanos, and Ms. Marvel

From Capcom: Frank West, MegamanX, Phoenix Wright, Gene (from God hand), Talbain (Darkstalkers), Gail (Dino Crisis), and Strider.

It's also stated that a new stage will be added as DLC with a setting in a court room a la Phoenix Wright. Apparently some of these characters will be announced and shown at Captivate next week.

Last, and not least, a new version of the game will be release next year that will include all the DLC characters and stages into one final package.


All this came from Lupinko. The same guys who leaked info about SSF4, MVC3 and Mortal Kombat and all turned true. So RUMOR or not, it sounds COOL!!!

Might be a good enough reason for me to wait on next version... Though not liking list of the new DLC characters... Where the fuck is my venom, Jin, and cap commando???

I always have my friends' backs. Still won't know if I can go to EVO yet because of Summer Classes.

Was at WNF last night at the Proud Bird to root on a friend (black0ut). Got to watch Flow, JWong, and Richard are play rounds with one another.

My impression? Holy crap on the shit they do. Screw MvC3, not only will I never have a chance, but I most likely would be more free than the toy that comes in a happy meal. But it was good to finally have some free time and see the community live again. Was really into it with SF4/SSF4, but work and GT5 has put mvc3 on backburner.
