Fighting Game Thread 9 - Wu-Tang Edition
That's what you said last time you rubbed against one of your prison-mates.

I actually have this as my profile pic on the Bookface.
Yeah Tekken 4 force mode was not too bad but a bit dumb. T3 was the best at it though.
why was it the best? 6 seems like the obvious winner.

i haven't actually played 3's version, but the vid doesn't make it look all that great...
I just pictured Sakura looking all sweet and innocent, but with a gruff-ass voice. :cry:
Please, she's about as innocent as OJ Simpson.
I'll check the Target near me and see if they have it then. First I need to obtain $10. I wish life was like Earthbound where I can just hit a snake or a bird with a bat to get some easy cash.
Replace "snakes and birds" with "hookers and crackheads" and you're good. Easy money.
I like Tekken 6, but T5: DR will always be my personal favorite.
Same here... Didn't seem like anything was wrong with it plus it played great and everything that made it what it was was great. great.

My favorite TEKKEN was TTT.

T5DR was alright. I actually enjoyed the more broke T5.0 better.

TEKKEN 6 > Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, IMHO.

More characters have a chance in T6.

better backgrounds and music in T5DR for sure.

though i like the snappier feel of T6. the moves don't feel as mushy as they usually do in Tekken games.

Yeah, I felt like T6 played smoother than DR did.

I got TTT at the PS2's launch and I played the hell out of it, but I never really liked it that much... always preferred T3. I dunno, I felt like all the aesthetics took a hit in Tag, and I didn't really like the tag mechanic in the first place.

i like t6 because it feels more... unique. like animations are a lot different and there aren't as many stock animations that they pull from.
BTW let me clarify, I like arcade TTT.

PS2 TTT bleh.

Arcade TTT was my fave.

The arcade and console versions of Tekken Tag Tournament differ slightly. The arcade version ran on a 32bit engine, utilizing the graphics engine of Tekken 3. These graphics were ran using the Tekken 3 PCB board, based on the PlayStation hardware. The console version ran on a highly updated engine, utilizing the PlayStation 2's graphics processor. The game doesn't run on a 32bit engine, yet on a new and updated engine highly similar to that found on Tekken 4. BGMs differed too, as the console version had new updated tracks, whilst the arcade version was based on MIDI tracks with an instrumental backing. Unknown is not playable on the arcade version, yet the character is on the PlayStation 2 version. There are also crucial differences concerning the playability of the characters. Some moves or attacks are much more efficient in arcade version than in console version and viceversa. The arcade version of Tekken Tag Tournament has never been played on consoles before, but the arcade versions of Tekken 1, 2, and 3 have been played on Tekken 5.
Why do you like the arcade one better? What did they do that you didn't like to the characters?

K. I always wondered that. I love the TTT arcade... so fun. TTT PS2 reminds me of mel gibson everytime I see Paul.
I miss Ogre and True Ogre.
Same here. Needs a comeback srsly.

Regarding arcade TTT...

Arcade one had different combos/move properties.

It had the RIGHT hitboxes for a lot of stuff.

It also had the superior soundtrack (opinion of course).

And tech traps were easier to do in the arcade version.

Dear, Azazel,

EAT MY ASS YOU HALF-BAKED GODZILLA/KING TUT HYBRID WANNABE RAT BASTARD fuck!

:lol::lol::lol:
Don't know if he's as bad as Jinpachi in T5. But that shit is one tough mother shutjomouth.

Just kill him with generic 1,2 strings.
He bounces like he's made out of rubber.
Damn if he isn't.
Just kill him with generic 1,2 strings.
That could be my problem--I wasn't really comboing him, just picking and choosing my moves care(bear? LOL at that pic, ReRo!)fully. Thanks, I'll try it again.
Pick devil jin, wait for him to teleport, u/f 1+2 him to death
I'll give that a shot, too. Thank you!:cool:

hate azazel so much. Not as much as unlimited Hazama though. Oh hey, here's a guy who builds meter instantly, takes off fuck tons of damage, barely receives damage, starts getting super aggressive and has perfect distortion finish timing when he has little life left so you never get a round, and, OH fuckING YEAH, HE'S GOT A MOTHERFUKKEN GREEN CIRCLE AROUND HIM THAT SUCKS YOUR ENERGY AND REPLENISHES HIS LKSJDFOIHSJDFOHW{)IHFOPIHFO:KJN!!!!@!IO#U)(@)(*@_)*∆˚¬©˚∆˚∆∫∫∫∆˙å˙ˆ˙øˆ∑∆¬…∆ææ¬

I don't get why all fighting game bosses have to be the epitome of bad game design. You never beat them on the game's terms-- it's always some cheap ass exploit that you repeat mindlessly. Then again, fighting game AI is never realistic feeling to begin with.

A new Blazblue CS character is up on psn... Its only 7.99.... I figured 4.99 at most,but damn. It went up yesterday. The date is 8/2 I didn't notice it though. Just thought I would mention it for the people that didn't already know.
I figured 6.99. Not happy either way.
Pretty crazy price for just one character if you ask me. I still want it,but 7.99 just isn't worth it.

It's like they try to make the fake boobs look like real life bad implant jobs. Is this something guys enjoy as a result of watching too much shitty California and Florida-based pornography??
More to grab = a-ok.
unless your joystick has changed, it's not really more.

double entendre intended.

I heard that the level editor in Starcraft 2 is so advanced that you can actually make the next Tekken game with it!

the game even has a feature called "Tekken Research" or something...

btw the only character I play in CS ever is Litchi...

I want the new one but I would never play her lol.

if all goes well, they'll bumdle all the DLC characters together for like $15 hopefully...
i've got some garbage bags full of lumpy jell-o that are all warmed up for you.
Those don't have personalities, though.
Those don't have personalities, though.
neither do women with fake tits

come on, that was too easy :lol:

Makoto is 560pts for the 360. So let's see...

400pts = $5
800pts = $10
200pts = $2.50

600pts = $7.50

I'm not going any further because I just made my point. WHY THE fuck IS IT MORE EXPENSIVE ON PSN?!
A better point would be WHY PLAY SSFIV INSTEAD OF SSFII?
Because I don't like SSFII, there's my reason. ^_^

I just checked again, $5 on XBL for the unlimited characters unlock code, $6 on PSN. Who the fuck is pricing this shit? Arc? Aksys?
Because I don't like SSFII, there's my reason. ^_^
:O BLASPHEMY!
I should have said HD Remix instead. THEN There wouldn't have been any ground to dislike it. NONE!:lol::lol::lol:

Aksys?
I don't know who's pricing them like that, but its somebody smart. Isn't the PS3 the system most hardcore fighting game players buy multi-platform games on? By pricing the content a buck or so more on the "main" platform, they(Aksys & ARC) stand to make a fair bit extra.

Or perhaps the fees for getting the DLC onto PSN were a little more than getting them on XBL?

I don't like HDR either, but I don't hate it. ;)

Either way, I'd still like to know why it costs more on PSN.
