FORZA Motorsport 2 - Gen Discussion - March Pack Due 3/19 - 400pts - 13 New Cars!

I've got 2million credits right now that I've been sitting on. 'Bout how long 'till I get it back zewone? I'm tired of doing the damn enduro races. Also, would you have an Acura RL to sell me for it? I need a project car, not just something trashy, preferrably from the American region since that'll be one less car I need to buy.

Basically, I'll put the Acura RL up for sale on the auction house for 2 million buy it now price and you buy it. That's it.

I'm trying to finish up the collector achievements, I'm guessing I need about 6 or 7 million dollars left and I will own every car in the game. The Forza forums cleared it up for me.

How do I copy a design from one car to another?

To copy a design from your vehicle to another of the same make and model go to the “Save Design” option in the “Paint Car” menu. The second option is “Save to Design Catalog.” To apply your design, go to the “Design Catalog” option in the “Paint Car” menu and you can see any designs saved to the catalog and select the appropriate design.

How do I get a picture on more than one car/on another side of the vehicle?

To apply a picture from one car to another (or one side of a design), click and hold down the left stick of the controller and press A to highlight the desired layers. Once this is done select the highlighted layers by pressing A, and the third option from the top is “Create New Vinyl Group” Select this and you can name and save your image. Now, go to the desired side of the vehicle (or go get your other car and return to the Livery Editor) and press A. The third option from the top is “Load a Vinyl Group” where you should see any groups you have saved.​
Now I just need to figure out the mathematical procedure to make one side of the design symmetrical to the other.

Take this for example :bomb:. To get the fuse on the left side, flip it around the Y-axis so it's Y-size value is negative.

If you mean transferring graphics from one side of the car, to the other, I've found it trickier, especially with letters involved. It always makes the letters mirrored, so I have to redo those.
 
uh, you guys do know you can just draw the design on one side, go to the other side, hit A on a blank spot, and copy it over from the other side right? Then you just have to flip all the letters (if there are any)
 
Wondering if anyone would be willing to help out. I don't really plan at all to buy any cars through the auction house, but I'd like to get the achievement to buy or sell 10 cars in the auction. I hate buying things second-hand even in the game, so if anyone else would want to create a trading circle, perhaps it'll work.

Basically, we'd get on a list and the first person would buy a really crappy car, put it up for auction really cheap, which the second person would buy immediately. Rinse and repeat. You'd only have to make 5 transactions within the group plus you wouldn't lose any money since you'd be selling and getting the same amount back. I could be the start and end of the chain so I'll be the one charged with buying a car. Anyone wanna help in getting that achievement?

I'd be interested.[/quote]It'll be the same car, probably something really crappy so other people aren't interested in it when they see it in the auction block. I'd buy it, set it for auction, you'd buy it, then sell it for the same price to the next person in line.

the car dealr achievement is not hard to get. sell off some off your cars and then buy some crappy one you dont have. in no time you will get it. but if you need a car, i have an 02 honda interga that nobody wants. lmk

It's just easier this way for those of us who don't wanna deal with selling the cars off or buying utter crap we won't ever be using in the game.

It really helps switching regions, though. You'll end up spending about 750,000 Credits to switch twice, but it was worth it. Now, I'm faced with the decision of switching back to my original Asian region, which costs a hefty 2,000,000 Credits. Ouch.
 
I started in the North America region, so I won most of those Viper race cars. Porsche has about 7 or 8 race cars that you need to buy at full price, with the cheapest being 250,000.

So, who wants to be my BFF and borrow me about 4-5 million credits, and get back 8 million in return? I'll use the credits to buy whatever cars I have left, then, after I get the achievements, I'll sell all of them, enough to give you 10 million credits back.

Attention!

There are so many custom Forza cars out there, it's hard to keep track of them all. I want to make it easier to view custom designs and buy custom cars. So I'm setting up a website, forzacustomcars.info.
The site will have 2 areas, one for cars that are for sale and one for those that are not for sale. The "For Sale" section will allow people to make offers directly to the car's creator. If we can get everyone to submit their custom designs to the site, it should be really useful.

I'm not much of a web developer though - would anyone like to offer assistance? I'll need help developing the appearance (which should be Forza-themed, natch) as well as setting up the HTML (and CGI forms if anybody will help with that). Please post ideas and offers of help here!
 
just picked up the game..think its great..
so what is the incentive for playing online? most of the achievements are in career mode. can the credits u pick up online be used in ur career?

And yeah you can use credits you win online in your career. You also level up in the online career mode, and level your car's reputation as well.

I seriously find it so hard to play single player.. I only do it for the achievements, and I've hardly gotten any of those.
 
I spend way too much money upgrading cars. I spent yesterday buying tons of upgrades to a bunch of cars to get them to the top of their respective classes. Them S-class cars are pricey to upgrade.
