Its all good bro. You put items that have gone on sale pretty recently. Could they bring items in this sale that were once on sale back in lets say may or june?
Not really sure - thought it was more of the stuff since November & December. Cheapy and some vets of the site may know. This is the first holiday season that I have really scoured the forums. It is developing into some serious cheaptitis.
To bring this back to OP, Cheapy speculates/stipulates that the nightly deals will be the same for the end-of-year sale. So, I have gathered each night/weekend so far (sorry, if I missed one). Anyway, would it be a good idea to develop a wiki for this?

Here is the list:

Thanks for this post!

Hopefully the prices are a little lower during the year end sale - there are several games I want to pick up but since I won't be getting to them for a while, the cheaper I can get them for now, the less likely they will be able to be had for cheaper once I get around to playing them.

That's one big reason I'm waiting for the free shipping. I would be alright paying the prices several games are right now, but the shipping would negate a healthy chunk of my potential savings.

What kind of condition are used games from gamefly? I have heard that they usually are in pretty good condition but I just wanted to make sure. I have never bought from them before.

its different for everyone. They are 98% of the time playable. Out of 4 360 games, 2 were excellent, while 2 had chips but were good shape other than that.

ALso if the game has an online code (what newer game doesnt have one these days) a code thats redeemable will be inside the game.

Well that sounds good. Definitely going to look into buying from them this year.

The one i just got had some minor scratches, but otherwise the packaging looks like someone just cut open the security tape and set the box aside. I've gotten some that are pristine, but never any that i would consider complaining about.

Having purchased upwards of 200 titles (primarily :ps3: and :360: but have also purchased :ds: :wii:, etc.) for both myself and friends/family, I have a 0% defect rate; they come with DLC intact and the case, manual & artwork are practically "New". That said, I highly recommend GameFly for quality, value, and customer service...no if's, and's, or but's......

I've received 6 PS3 games from them so far, all of them are chipped, and all but one have light scratches (the one that didn't have scratches was a free copy of Brink, lol). All of them play perfectly and included valid DLC.

I got RedFaction:Armagedon from them, the disc was playable and some scratches. My case had some pieces missing from it.
A question: So if a game I'm interested in on Gamefly doesn't currently have a Buy Used option (having only a Rent option), does that mean it won't be part of the sale? I'm not exactly sure how Gamefly works, so clarification would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-B
games often come back in stock for a sale. in fact, they often go in and out of stock during a sale.

All of mine besides one have been perfect sans some dust or prints. But some people have had problems it seems

Scratched blu rays? I've never seen that before.

You must have some careless shipping guys

Yeah I was surprised as well. The first game I received had several light scratches (Portal 2), but the rest of the games don't have many. I'm not sure how they managed to get scratched but it's definitely possible. I'd imagine it's much worse for 360 games that come from gamefly.

It's not all that uncommon though, I've had a couple brand new PS3 games that have light scratches on them right after taking them out of the case.
Anyone have an idea what time the sale will start?
Monthly sales seem to go live fairly early in the day.

My last few i've received from Gamefly, all PS3 games, have been almost perfect. I received a few before that that had a scuff or two, but they usually wipe right off with my t-shirt, due to the coating on the bottom of PS3 discs. It's pretty tough to not get a PS3 disc to work no matter what it looks like.

hoping they put Infamous 2 back on sale. My order was apparently lost in the mail and they would only give me a refund.

also kind of hoping the sales aren't so great after all so I don't feel compelled to buy a bunch of games. My backlog was big before the sales these past few weeks...and I haven't even bought Skyrim yet! :whee:

I wonder if these "chips" have caused anyone trouble in trading in these games to Amazon/Gamestop. Anyone have any input on that?

Yeah, for the refurb charge. You know, because they actually fix these games instead of slapping 3 stickers on it and shelving it.

I'm thinking of trading in my Dead Space 2, I only wanted the Extraction code, really. Still haven't even played it, and my backlog is big enough so I don't see a reason to hold onto it while the TIV is still good.

I'm reading that as sarcastic. Because I've found boogers on gamestop discs among other things...

You should move it to the front of your backlog. One of the best games of the year.

How much is the TIV anyway?

It was, which is why I hate that charge so much. If they think it's too scratched up, then don't take it.

I thought Extraction was on disc?

Not to mention the pics of the cockroaches in one thread that led to chuplayer's doll pics being spoiler tagged, him throwing a hissy fit, and leaving CAG. So some good came of it.

I almost forgot about that guy. Creepy
I thought Extraction was on disc?
Oh, didn't know that. It was shipped to my parent's house, so I haven't even touched it yet.

Guess I'm keeping it then, thanks for the note. I was about to lock in my trade to Amazon.

Just got my copy of Alice PS3 today, this is my 2nd purchase from Gamefly. First time I bought Star Ocean for 360 and it was scraped through on the 3rd disc and had to return it. Alice is in great shape though with only a couple of fingerprints a small nick.

If I'm remembering correctly, the end of the year sale they had last year was pretty bad. A bunch of shovelware and 3rd-rate titles that were found in bulk. Mainly Wii party games and a whole mess of Medal of Honor.

I'm guessing Brink, Duke, and a variety of other things. Fingers crossed for some good ones, though.

I'm not sure what I even want if anything. I mean between target clearance, Best Buy, and Steam I might be sitting this one out unless they get real crazy with the pricing.
They sent out E-mails telling us that their Annual Year-End sale is going to happen at the end of the year? Mindblown!

It could definitely be worse. I've been getting spammed by GoHastings so much recently (2-4 mediocre "sale" E-mails a day) that I had to remove myself from their mailing list today. 50% off Shipping = 100% GTFO.
No kidding and i had major issues with GH in the past and forgot/to lazy to remove them from contacting me again.

I'm hoping for a deal on Vanquish myself as there has been no sale on it for quite awhile. If not then I hope the wait was worth it for this gamefly sale. Time will tell tomorrow.

For this sale, I'm hoping for $7.99 Mafia II :)360:) and $14.99-or-less Dynasty Warriors 7 :)ps3:) and Catherine :)ps3:). :bouncy:

I was lookin at last years sale, looks like a lot of it was rehash from their daily deals they held in 2010 just a few bucks cheaper so heres hoping more of the same with a few additional titles.
