Not all GR's are in on this. Of those that do, the rules vary by compentence.
If you do not ask, or they do not offer, it will be put on your account at that specific location. There is no way to transfer it as far as i know. Make sure you get a gamerush gift card from them so you can go from store to store, especially if your into the vintage games.
Right. The credit has to be used at that store, but they should put it on a GC if you ask them to.

They are region specific. They do not come in the magazines sent to NY, for example. Instead there are crappy blockbuster coupons/ads. That is for subscription and shelf.
This is true. I get my EGM through subscription here in Texas and all I get are lousy Blockbuster ads/coupons.
Thats weird Fresh, cuz me, my neighbor and another buddy all live here in the DFW area and we all got the coupons in our EGM (we all have subscriptions) So I know for sure that people in Texas do get them.
My EGM had the coupons too.

I live in Texas also and get the Gamerush coupons in my magazines most of the time. When I went to the local Gamerush store, I was going to buy the same magazines for the coupons, and I wanted to make sure they were in there before I bought them and all that was there were blockbuster ads.

In one of the stores out here, the employee "accidently" put the credit on my account instead of on a card. I was pissed and told him to use my credit, to buy a gift card. He said it could not be done, but then he called someone else (probably a superior) and they told him to do it.

I have credit scattered around at various stores, so I will probably get it all in one card.

While going to trade in DVD's, I picked up my copy of THUG 2, so, I assume most Game Rush stores have them now, and they actually held it in the back for me. Awww, so sweet. Didn't expect BB to give a damn, but, they did. They didn't call me to tell me it came in, though. Oh well, I got it for 30 dollars, and I can't complain.

I keep reading about people trading in Unreal 2 for Xbox. This is a game I'd like to pick up and actually play, not trade in. Where are you all finding Unreal 2 for such a good price?

It's apart of the Circuit City sale.

Fry's had it for $10 a few months ago as well

Is there anyway to tell if a Gamerush is going to be built close to me? I am curious, because there are about 50 stores being built by me! Hopefully one is a Gamerush!
go to www.gamerush.com and look up the store locations. some of the gamerushe's that are listed are still being built though. you'll just have to call the one's around you to see. good luck :)
Lol thanks, but the closest one to me is 200 miles away...

Boy they screwed my stuff up today.... I traded 3 cheap ass games (madden 2001, 2003, and nhl 2001) trying to preorder Halo 2 CE using the trade 2 get any preorder for $29.99 (not supposed to include the madden or halo CE's) Anyway, he let me do it and he also gave me the trade 3 get $5 extra on each game... Bottom line... I walked in with madden 2001 & 2003 and nhl 2001... I walked out with halo 2 CE pre-ordered for $10...
I'll take it!

Wait, you mean people don't like to buy three year old sports games! Damn, I'm so behind times. I'm not being a smartass to you, but how stupid could they be?

WOW....the 2 Blockbusters I got do I stuck up retards and won't let me do anything. They won't let me preorder collector edition, won't take DVD"s without a case, won't give me the $5 with preorder, won't let me do anything!

My advice: Avoid the Denton and Rowlett stores.

Actually, according to the fine print, you're not allowed to get the deal on collector's edition preorders, and you can't combine the extra $5 per game deal with the preorder deal. I know it sucks, but getting any $50 new release game for just $30 is already an incredible deal in itself.

That is only with the in-store deal, if you have the EGM coupon it does not state the thing about Limited Editions or Collector Editions. That is how I was able to pre-order Halo 2 CE for $35

You can try to call your local BB and ask what the nearest GameRush is at
I wish gamerush would make an online site where you could actually buy stuff, like ebgames.com
Why? You wouldn't be getting the sweetheart deals that the B&M's offer.
Most of Gamerush's really good deals on hinge on the profitablity of used games. Shipping really cuts into that, and would make the deals markedly less spectacular.

Fry's have it for 19.99$ all the time.

Gamerush is awesome. I did not realize they were having an extra $3 per game trade in offer!!!

I just traded 3 PS1 games with coupon for one used game for $10.

Tony Hawk 1 Value $1 + $3
Dukes of Hazard 2 $1.50 + $3
Ready to Rumble Boxing Round 2 $1 + $3

Total $13.xx including the tax they give you.

Bought Madden 2005 for Game Cube $44.99 - $34.99 coupon...

They still owe me $2.60!! :D

That place rocks!

i just traded riddck in and i think i only got like 12 for it. not sure because i don't have my recipt handy but i am pretty sure it was 12.

I had the coupon handy the clerk still said no. Lazy bum he was too busy banging on the Dongy Konga drums than helping customers. I am thinking of complaiing to the manager.

trade in 3 or more games and get an extra $5 per game
i believe they are for xbox, ps2, gc and gba games only

^^^ Plus $3 for playstation one games ^^^

I'm going there today and i'm going to use the trade in 5 get a game for 1 buck coupon from PSM.

i need to find these coupons. local gamerush has a PO star wars battlefront. it would be nice to get it with a 9.99 coupon.

Ah, just be happy you have one...

can anyone list games that i can buy for cheaper then the trade in credit i get, besides hobbit and unreal II

That and the ineptitude of blockbuster employees. :p

I'm very pissed at GameRush. I tried to get Donkey Konga with a $10 off coupon with no trade in neccessary and the guy said that I couldn't get it for $10 off because it included the drums. What kind of fucken bullshit is this?

I'm going to try and go tomorrow and attempt to get the deal since my little sisters B-Day is on Saturday. What a fucken dick. The manager came over and said, "uh... yeah it includes those drum thingys so it's an accessory".

I go from loving GameRush to freaken hating them in a matter of minutes. They better be careful with me, since I will explode if they don't let me get Donkey Konga for $40 tomorrow.

I was unable to preorder Donkey Konga from them since they see it as some sort of Special Edition since it comes with the drums. They could not use the $20 off coupon they have on file so that is probably the same reason you are having troubles.

Whoa, Denton and Rowlett are FAR from each other. There's prolly about 10 or so Gamerushes in between those two cities for you to go to since you don't seem to like those stores very much... :D

i am so psyched. yesterday, I preordered: mario tennis, Jade empire, starfox armada, and Ultimate DOA.

woo hoo!! I can't wait for jade empire.
Anyone know if there is a difference in trade in price between a normal Xbox and a Halo edition Xbox?
If you can find it in-store, the diff is about $20. You don't save money, you just get a green Xbox.

Well I was thinking of selling one, not buying one. I got the Halo edition Xbox back in April. After having it this long though, I realized Halo was the only thing I played on it (I had KOTOR and didn't like it). So I'm considering just selling it off to raise money for the DS. So I was wondering if I might get $5-$10 more since it was the Halo one or not.

Well, if you're selling it then you can probably get back what you paid plus a little more. They are supposedly hard to find. Just check what they are going for on Ebay.

Well typically Gamerush gives $90 for an Xbox and $20 for Halo. So do you think I could get $130-$140 for the Halo edition Xbox with extra controller and Halo? If so, I'd be plenty happy. That'd give me money for the DS.

You'd be much better off selling it so you would get over $200 for it in cash instead of $110 at GameRush. If you have an extra controller than I think you get $15 for that at GameRush, so you would get $125 at GameRush or alot of money selling it.

The problem with selling it is the hassle of having to ship it somewhere. Now if I could sell it to someone in the area, that wouldn't be so bad.

Right On,

A gamerush just opened today here in Highland, Ca. Just in time to let me be the first to inaugerate it! Has anyone else been the first to trade in stuff at their gamerush? Kinda not cool because they're still learning how to do all the transactions. It took quite awhile to get all the stuff done.
The problem with selling it is the hassle of having to ship it somewhere. Now if I could sell it to someone in the area, that wouldn't be so bad.
It's not TOUGH to ship something....hell, I'd pay $150 for your Halo XBOX. Shipping should only cost $10 or so.

I'm taking another "load" of games and dvds to
gamerush today... so far I have...
(no money out of pocket)
Halo 2 CE,
GTA: San Andreas,
Starcraft: Ghost,
and Star Wars: KOTOR II

I shipped an xbox I got from gamerush to my brother just last week. I'm sure it's well known that the xbox is a beast when it comes to wieght. Shipping from Georgia to Michigan via UPS cost me $17.40. If you need any packaging done expect to pay much more than it's worth.

You may be able to get out much cheaper going through the Post office or Fed Ex, I'm not sure of the cost differences.
