Anyone know what the PSP system is getting for trade-in at GR these days?

I picked up my Battlefield2 & GTA(PSP) today.

Also traded in:

Pre-Ordered GUN (XBOX)

Ididn't switch anything, the cool employee wasn't there.
 
I went today to Gamerush:

traded in Fusion Frenzy ($6) , King of Fighters ($16), Nano Breaker ($6) and Syberia ($1.50)

and preordered Dragon Quest VIII and Zelda : Twilight Princess for a grand total of $35.....

Pretty sweet - comes out to $17.50 for 2 kick ass new releases
 
They have the sku for the special edition of Oblivion. It is $70, but for the amount of enjoyment I'll get out of the game it's worth it for me. Plus it's BB credit. I was also able to upgrade the preorder for Gun to the 360 version for an additional $10 (so the game came out to $40 since I used the $30 deal) so it balances out.
 
Anyone been able to pick up Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge or Ratchet Deadlocked?
 
I went down to GR today and traded in Xenosaga ($5 credit) and D2R2 ($10 at TRU and got $16.50 credit). I picked up 2 used GBA games with the 25% off and pre-ordered Okami for a total out of pocket cost of $39. Not bad for 3 games I've been looking for. I even got a better offer for the Xenosaga then I expected. I'm gonna start doing trade-ins only at GR from now on.
 
ok, let the dice role, all three games I have preordered seem to be in, now if they have the taito compendium in, I can rent / buy that using my BB coupon, for quite the busy weekend.
 
when I picked up my copy of metroid pinball and mario DDR mix today. the manager that i've always been friendly with kinda 'joking' that I wouldn't trade in any of those DTRII anymore huh? he said there were so many 'unopen' copy being trade to his GR and even know that it's being bought 'dirt cheap' from TRU ... he was supernice about it with me though.... seem like they are catching on hard on DTRII trade.. and really if he said was true... who the hell trade their game in unopen? did they mean to impress the GR employees or hope that the value would be higher? well it didn't matter anyway.. as long as the GR store got tons of the copy...anyway...

I picked up that Taito game on Tuesday, so it should be in at most GR.

I read somewhere, not sure if it was on here or GameFAQ's or whatever, that the people who run Blockbuster are very big fans of the NFL, thus they won't be receiving Blitz: The League at all and are quite against it - I guess because the NFL seems to not like it.

I remember reading one guy's Blockbuster got it in, but only because the store was franchised out. For most of us, where the stores are run by corporate, your chances of seeing Blitz are 0 unless someone trades it in.

That's stupid, then why would they have those pre-order boxes of it. They have a gang load of those Pre-order blitz boxes at my GR.

Probably for the same reason they let you preorder all the Atlus games and then they never come out. I mean, I don't know if it's 100% fact that they aren't getting Blitz, but this is the best reason I've heard.

I mean, at this point they are about two weeks late getting in the game... it might be wise for the people who preordered it to just switch their preorder to something else.

Question: Has anyone's Blockbuster not getting games for rent? The last couple of times I called for GTA and asked about new games, they told me they only got enough to sell, and none to rent. I asked the employee today out of curiosity, same thing... just strikes me as a bit odd.

WOW! Mine is going back tomorrow while it's that high. I've played the crap out of it and won't be playing it much more with BF2 and the 360 coming.

By tied to your account, I mean that it is associated with your account. So they know that that value card is for you.

Going in to trade a couple copies of Tron for $13.50, then I'm just about done with this crazy trade-in game for now. Until a new beauty of a trade deal comes along.

actually you are incorrect, a few months back blockbuster started a lost giftcard policy, it will only work against value cards since they have unique numbers on the back for identification purposes where has the gift cards has generic numbers.

Did you do all this at one (or a few) stores? I guess it would have had to have been 10-15 stores or so with that many copies so as not to draw suspicion from any particular store. Or I'm wondering if they made a district-wide or system-wide sweep of D2R2 tradeins and found out that way? Probably just you went overboard at one or a few stores and a manager put a stop to it...

Traded in my last games for a while (till some new game pops up... done trading multiples of D2R2 and Tron):

Tron 2.0: still $13.50.

After paying $6 cash, I have a stack of gift cards totalling $160, which will be great in getting a red DS bundle for a cash total of $70. Although whoever I buy it from will be annoyed with the 7 gift cards I use to make the purchase.

Hopefully another cheap game will pop up soon so I can start doing more preorders/new release orders.

Madden 06 - $27. Didn't have it with me just asked about the price, if anyone is planning to step up to the 360 version now would be a good time to trade it in. I'm really surprised Madden and NCAA are still trading this high, most of us got them for $30 so being able to play them for months and only lose $3 is good times.

Went to the Fort Wright store instead of my normal one and they mentioned that that MIGHT be doing a midnight launch for the Star Wars game but to call back because it's not been decided for sure yet. I'm wouldn't go at midnight for a Star Wars game but i'm sure some people here might......
Also they've got a cute ass girl that works there now, I don't know if she's new or not since I hardly ever go there. Didn't get them digits though she was busy with customers the whole time I was there and I was in a hurry so I let myself be pulled to another cashier. Northern KY CAGs go say hi.

Glad to see Madden is still trading in high...however, I'm still playing it a LOT. Do I want to get $27 now, or maybe $20 in a month when I get the 360. Decisions to make. I'm glad to see some of the Limited Editions work with the pre-orders. I'll probably get Ecko and cancel it for a 360 game.

Anyone know the trade-in prices for:

Powerdrome (ps2)
Ford Racing 3
Motocross Mania 3

I would call, but there are some people who have been buying / trading at Gamerush forever now, and maybe ran across one of these (I know Powerdrome was a hot seller, can't remember what system).

All 3 games are $10 together at Wal-Mart, if one of them even fetches over $10 (or all 3 get around 10, just to break even) it would be a good canidate for their new "trade in 2, get any new game for $30" since their preorders suck.
 
anyone know how much soul calibur 3 fetches for at gamerush? How long do you guys normally wait to trade your new releases in? Do they go up in price after the first week or two?

I think games can fetch a maximum of $35, which is what most new $50 releases get in the first week or two, and then they generally drop it to $30 where it sits for awhile.

Looks like they swept through all the trades to find out who traded alot of D2R2. I *really* don't like this tactic - why not just ban you from trading any more of that game, or just lower the price to make it not worth it (say $10 instead of $20)? Anyway, we'll see if anyone else gets caught up in this. I traded another in tonight (though my total so far is WAY less than krawzyazn's :D).

Though it is possible that if a note popped up on your account at one BB, that it was that store responsible for flagging you - and then they called corporate about it. If you did 2 copies each of both Xbox and PS2 within a short time you might have raised a flag...

On to the preorder topic:

I don't know is this is still an issue, but I saw Blitz at my GR today for PS2 - locked up in the case, so it's been there for a few days anyway. What they didn't get was Rachet Deadlocked - and they told me it now has a street date of Nov. 4th. He said this has been happening alot with games and movies recently and they are going to talk to GR headquarters about the games, anyway...

I don't care about Ratchet as I wasn't going to play it any time soon. But they BETTER have Star Wars Battlefront II in on Tuesday, Weds at the absolute latest.
 
I was at the 9 and Middlebelt store today and they had the display boxes out for GTA PSP as if they had the game in and for sale. I traded in a couple games and preordered Path of Neo there. I haven't checked the 9 and Novi store for my GTA preorder yet.

Glad my TRU only had 2 copies because I would have been VERY tempted to do some credit building. I traded 1 thursday and 1 today at a different store. Also traded in 2 more different games during the 1st D2R2 trade and 2 more different games during todays D2R2 trade.

The days of flipping back and forth and buying multiple copies and slamming different stores with them are long gone. Proceed with caution jackholes, some GRs are going down hill but you still don't wanna burn that bridge......

What more than likely happened is that you didnt get an official bannin, you probably will but for right now in order to stop you from trading the game manager at the store you usually goto probably took a closer look at the account, then called the district manager and left a message to pass along to the rest of the district that they should put a warning on your account so that whenever it is brought up at a terminal by whatever employee for that location they will see that you are not supposed to trade and they probably put a physical hold on it so its not way for a employee to do anything without taking it off.

There is a way around this. This method isnt guranteed though, hopefully it will work but it may not depending on if you were corporately banned and also if the message went out to all stores rather than just the gamerush stores. More than likely the message only got to the GameRush stores then the regular blockbuster stores have no idea whats going on and probably have heard nothing about it, because all the GameRush stores are in their own district so they dont answer to the same district manager as would a regular Blockbuster in that area. So you should be safe to trade there and load you credit onto a value card or giftcards. Giftcards would be better because it doesnt have a trackable unique id # like a value card. And I mean the generic pre-dominated giftcards, plus starting Tuesday when you buy $50 dollars worth of gift cards you get a free $5 dollar purchase. So you can use those giftcards to buy the items at Blockbuster or GameRush. You could even have a friend sign up for a trade account at the GameRush you were banned from and use your credit to pre-order the Games out of there.

Also, I took a look at our new Map and i saw nothing in there about the 29.99 deal including new release games, just pre-orders only but it still did not have an end date.
 
I've done the DtR2 double trade 3 times total at 3 different stores, and decided to stop. You are one ballsy dude, doing it 14 times.

Well trust me I saw it, perhaps it can be regional(?) I saw it in the map in so cal.
