Aw crap. And here I thought that they needed the original casings and stuff. I've been passing up on some Galleons, Kuons, and Echos I saw cause there weren't any. They still get full price though, right?

YMMV = Your Miles May Vary

This means that some places may do what you are asking about and some places don't. Like for example about the trading in games with or without box art is a YMMV because some stores like for you to have them then some other ones don't care if you do have it.
 
My GR wont take games without covers, cause they don't have the UPC to scan. They don't really care if it has the manual or not.

Sweet thanks, I gotta go to Meijers and BB today anyway SOOOOOOOOOO time to start building back up my credit wad after turning it all into cash last week.

Ended up with $.82 cents on the dollar for the gift cards and good profit on the phoenix wrights and other games. :D
 
Traded in my last copy of Geist and a Kuon today. Got $48 for both, so now I'm up to $233.51 in credit. This Friday, if they get in a Core 360 like they did last friday, I'm gonna buy it because the waiting list for a Premium 360 is like 50 people long, and I'm pretty much at the bottom.
 
Called up my GR last night to ask if there were any upcoming deals for video games. He looked up in the map and said not for the next two weeks at least. So I guess I'll quit holding on to my tradeins and just trade them before they go down any in price.
 
There might be a semi-pseudo trade-in deal going on. I was at a regular BB today and they had a sign up saying how used games were cheaper with trade-ins, and had a few examples of different prices. The first example was that a $14.99 game would be $11.99 OR LESS with 1 trade-in, $8.99 OR LESS with 2 trade-ins, etc. It didn't say if this was a discount on the sale price, and you also get the trade-in value as well, or if it simply means they are guaranteeing you will get at least $3 in trade credit for your game. If it is just a $3 guarantee that isn't too big a deal, but you could dump some of those $1-$1.50 games if so. If it is a $3 discount per game traded (on top of your trade credit) that also isn't such a big deal, as, obviously, the 25% off used games (with no trade required) was better. But, this might be the next deal in any case. And if so, that sucks :whistle2:(
 
Anyone else that has Tales of Legendia preordered have you heard anything about GR getting the art book? I don't know if it's just an EB thing or not but I want the book. :whistle2:(
 
All of my local gamestore are cleaned out of any profitable games. I need to preorder a few more xbox 360 games, and I am cleaned out of credit. The thought of spending cash at gamerush is.... well, scary, since I haven't had to for a year or so.

So, I went to trade in a copy of Resident Evil 4 (GCN) tonight and I was told it's only getting $6 trade-in. I was shocked because I assumed their trade-in values changed every tuesday, but apparently the new $19.99 price drop for RE4 is already in their system. Can anyone else confirm this price or did the associate just confuse it for some older RE title for th Gamecube?

I figured it would be something like this. All the fine print says is "see sales associate for details". D'oh! The GR does not have this signage up, I was just there tonight. Geist still gets $24. It is definitely a candidate to drop soon, as it is $19.99 now at Best Buy.

I totally forgot to ask about this. I switched one of my DS preorders to Legendia tonight and, of course, they didn't tell me anything about a bonus. I'll have to ask next time I'm in there. So, no, it certainly isn't automatic, or anything they have been told to mention. But that doesn't mean they don't have the preorder bonus.

And Roufuss, I really wanted to ask them the sale price for Suikoden Tactics (to see if it dropped to $30), but in between switching preorders and doing other stuff I couldn't fit that in the limited time I had between regular movie renting customers. I did take a look at the DS and PSP preorder screens again, and the only semi-interesting thing I saw was "Legend of the Dragon" for PSP listed at $29.99 with a release in October. I have no idea what this is.

But I did notice that they had games like SSX On Tour and Revenge of the Sith tagged at $29.99, so they have followed some of the price drops, at least. They didn't seem to have a copy of Suikoden Tactics anyway.
 
just saw that REsident Evil DS at gamestop has the preorder T-shirt, does Gamerush give out the free t-shirt also, if we preorder?

I also noticed that GR had applied the universal $29.99 price drops to Romancing Saga and Radiata Stories as well.

Oh, and 50 Cent: Bulletproof also dropped to $29.99. That probably means the trade-in price has dropped from $27, but I forgot to ask.

I said I was holding off (there isn't one game I'd play on it now, so what's the point?), and then some other guy overheard them and rushed over to buy it :D. Sorry, AoLat :D. Looks like they had them in stock for a few days this time though, I couldn't imagine there being a 50 person waiting list.
 
I saw them in stock at Game Rush this morning...no waiting list here. Waiting on the Nintendo Revolution myself...it will actually have titles at launch that I want to play. Maybe buy then I'll have enough store credit saved up (although odds are I'll spend it long before then).

Wow.. my GR said that they get in 3-4 Premiums every Thursday or Friday, and the guy handed me a waiting list the last time I was in the store and a page and a half of college ruled paper was filled up. I can get a Core 360 and a HD though, which is what I SHOULD have done LAST Friday. :bomb:
 
Wow every week! Mine hasn't had any for about a month. Then last Friday they got 3 core and 1 Premium. They know me there, and while they were unboxing them they asked if I wanted the Premium. I said, no my wife would kill me. So, I went home and mentioned it to my wife and she wasn't totally against the idea (which in my mind means yes), so I drove right back and got it. I still haven't opened it, I am waiting to setup my new 50" Plasma and Surround sound system. I plan to use my 360 mostly as a Media Center with a little gaming. I am going to add a 160gb external USB 2.0 drive for music/pics. It is going to be awesome playing those games in High Def!

I used to do that at my job too... they are probably just sick of people calling, asking when they are getting them in, when they really have no idea.

What states have Gamerushes?
What't the closest location to Pittsburgh, PA? (I'm guessing Stow, OH)

The stupid store locator on the Gamerush only goes up to 50 miles, and I have some credit saved up from FL that I may need to use later this year (Perhaps on a Revolution?).

Traded in last copy of Kuon and Echo Night Beyond... Couldn't find any Geists at local TRUs. Found Firefighter F.D. 18 for $24.99 pre-played mint disc with manual. Almost like buying that game for $9.99 (Trade in of 1 Kuon or ENB for $24). :)

That's a shame, I was hoping they still sold it for the $20-$25 range like EB did till recently. Guess I will continue trying to trade it here.
 
Went to Gamerush today... they STILL haven't updated their prices yet. Suikoden Tactics is still $39.99, Suffering: Ties That Bind is still $49.99, Shadow Hearts Covenant is still $29.99, Wild Arms 4 is still $49.99. Its kind of ridiculous.

I asked the employee about trade in deals, and he told me that the buy 2 get 1 free on used games is coming back, and that he thinks the trade 2 get a preorder for $29.99 is coming back, but he wasn't sure. I asked him the dates, he said before the month is up, but he thinks around Valentines Day.

I guess that would save me a bunch on Odama and a few bucks on some DS games. Just need to find some games to trade in now. I'll follow up this week or next (I guess Chibi Robo will be in next week). It should be in the new map though, so I suppose anyone can ask about it next visit.

Well, it's not confirmed, he didn't look it up on a map or anything, but he answer pretty quickly.

I'd like if the buy 2 get 1 free returns... one store has Fatal Frame 3 and Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows, and I'd get Psychonauts for free.

Actually, I got a t-shirt when I bought Resident Evil 4 about 2 months after it came out. I guess it just depends on whether or not the employee feels like doing their job.

Wondering if Gamerush is charging $29.99 or $39.99 (eb is charging the latter, everyone else is $29.99)
