"Need to issue a certificate?

We’re sorry, but this feature is currently unavailable while we move our rewards data to a new home. Don’t worry, your points are safe. You will be able to issue a certificate again in a couple of weeks. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."

Thanks Best Buy.

I haven't done trades lately but is the bonus for getting doom or uncharted 50% + PUR 10% or just 50%?
PUR + the 50% if you choose to opt for it. Opting for it does require that you buy the game and any leftover credit can be applied as such. With that being said you can easily return the game assuming fate has it in your favor and the employee(s) don't bar you from doing so.

Just for clarification purposes the trade limit is 4 per game per console?

I got the bonus when I told them I only wanted to apply $5 to the game.   That's at my main store with the cool employees, though.. don't know if it would work at the strict meanie store.

If you guys are going the BB route, don't forget cash back sites and if you're buying in store, there's a $5 rebate on ibotta (with $100 in store purchase).

Since the bonus works on games that have already released, just buy one and ask for a gift receipt. Super easy returns with a gift receipt.

Game is no longer up for preorder.
isn't there like 3 games that will get these bonuses tho? doom is extra 50%, overwatch is extra 20%, and I thought 1 more had 50% - Uncharted 4 is the other one. I thought 1 was still a preorder but nope!

Gift Receipt is certanly easy enough anyway.

FYI, if you like the Funko products, Gamestop is doing an instore promo where you buy 2 POP!s and get 1 Dorbz for free - but there wasn't any restrictions, so you could buy 2 $5 POP!s and get a $20 Dorbz Ridez or even the NYCC 4 pack Ninja Turtle Dorba ($29.99) for free. I had luck yesterday getting a Dorbz XL, but not a RIdez.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sorry to subject you to those stupid, stupid words.

Only thing that can make this day better is an eBay Bucks promo.

50% tiv towards doom should work on used copies right?

I really don't want it but I got Just cause 3, Division and an extra copy of overwatch. I don't have pur but I figure just trading in those games/buying doom used will pay for the $15 pur renewal right there.

edit:

n/v I see in the fine print it says new

It usually takes a few days for the B2G1 to show up on an account. If you renew, you might not get the coupon by Monday.

Edit: When using reward certificate and a % off coupon, what is the order that it is applied? I know PUR comes last.

I know the rule is one per platform in a single trade in but is it likely that an associate would say no if I bring in 4 copies of minecraft, one on each platform?

I guess no harm in trying but I'm wondering if that is supposed to set off any alarms to an associate.

Technically, it isn't against the rules, but maybe you could explain the situation by saying you're trading them in for friends who like Minecraft?

4 will set off a flag for sure. Better to do it in 2 sets (PS4/PS3, XB1/360), Yes it means an extra return but play it smart for the long haul.

Goodbye, Backlog.

I hardly knew you.

Coincidentally...Hello, Doom!

My profits are going to be so dope I'm tempted to just trade Uncharted in for Uncharted instead of fucking around with returns/flags.

I don't see why that would be a problem. If they ask why are you trading in the game for the same game you're picking up. Just say I want the 50% bonus. You're doing nothing wrong.
