Wow. Launch party was sick. It far exceeded my expectations. Probably the 2nd best party i've been to for a 3rd party game publisher (Eidos had a crazy one back at an Atlanta E3). There had to have been nearly 50 SFIV setups. A row of head-to-head arcade cabinets and plenty of the console version with all characters unlocked. There was definitely some good players there and a few OG's i haven't seen in several years. Great night :)

Music was awesome. Dj Qbert, Z-Trip, The Knux. And they pretty much had everyone from the Street Fighter movie there except Kristin Kreuk lol. Also saw that crazy asian girl BaiLing and Ryan Starr from american idol...she was hot!!!

Oh...one of my friends walked away with SFIV on PS3.

I read on GAF that the SFIV event was abysmal, over-crowed & shut down by the fire marshal. Any truth?

It was never shut down but if you didn't get there early, you barely made it inside to see anything. I got there late and didn't bother even trying to get in. By the time they reached capacity, there were still like 2500 people outside.
 
I can't find a chun li pad anywhere! Should I just settle for my blanka one, or will there be more in stores next week?

I've got it and it's decent. It depends on what you are looking for in a book about Japanese arcade games. It's not the most detailed book and the writing is amateurish, but it has a lot of interesting stuff in it that I had no idea about. There's a chapter about shmups, one about fighting games, rhythm games, video mahjongg, crane machines, photo booths, card games, retro stuff etc. Lots of pics and bright colors.

That sounds kinda cool. I like pictures and bright colors. They inspire me.
 
I bought Arcade Mania, I thought it was pretty good
Some interesting parts in it, plus like others have mentioned it's full of pictures and bright colors :D

Makes sense. With a fucking job that's 75 hours a week and a family to take care of at home... not to mention the rabbit you've inherited as a family member... where do you find the time. Sucks sitting a computer after you do so at work for all that time.

Agreed. It's really nothing personal to people dropping in to be added to the SFIV FGT List.

Almost everyone in that list has contributed an ungodly amount to this thread over the years. As I mentioned before the FGT is a very competitive, friendly and tight knit group. The small number of exceptions I did make, were for posters I saw in and out of the thread, but have been very consistent in contributing to conversions as of late.

Again, the PS3/360 sub forums have their own respective SFIV for discussion/matchmaking. The FGT SFIV was compiled for FGT Regulars only.

I saw nasty n8 and put the assassin's creed on him, but he survived wtf?!?!

I saw Shane Sparks too and Assassin's Creed him as well!! he also lived to tell the tale wtf?!?! I'm losing my edge... but he gave me dap after that so it was all good.

I met B:L but he sucks coz he failed to catch an Estate LA hat!! It took me 2 hours to get into the damn place and I really wanted a hat but they were all gone once I was in!!! I still want one!! :bomb:

I saw Markman and like he had a burger in his hand, I havent seen him in a minute so I went up to him to shake his hand but then I got hit by a truck, whoops there I go, I flew like 3 blocks back, dusted myself off, and walked back to see him but he was gone. Apparently, the klan got him so I hear.

but I saw him again and he was carrying around pandora's box!! like, he was carrying it around the whole freakin time and was like "damn man I've been here for like 2 hours holding onto pandora's box". And markman's friend Ace actually scored a copy of the game, bastard!!

other shouts to Harry from Aksys, Bai Ling, Taboo from BEP, Adam Sessler, and my BlazBlue teammate who I randomly ran into lol

I was going to purchase the collector's edition, but I think I'm gonna pick up the normal edition at Best Buy today.
The only thing I did want from the collector's edition was the movie, but I figure I can watch that by other means... :whistle2:#

If anybody else grabs it today, I'm down for playing later tonight!

I'm going to try and do In-Store Pickup on the order and see what happens if I show up. If they argue with me, I'll tell them that the website shows them having it in stock and that's why I ordered it.

No one can hate AsianxCore, only the characters he uses. You can try to hate him now, but he won't stop now.

If someone nabs SFIV from BB, let the thread know! I'd hate to have to travel all the way to BB only to get shot down.
