Yes, in fact there were 2 Samurai Shodown games already in the third dimension. The first one focused more on the orginal characters. I never played it but it didn't look good. The second is a bastard child that should never have existed. The only real returning character was Haohmaru but he was like 50 years old, and didn't play the same. (Hattori Hanzo was also in it but it wasn't the same guy) It was released on the PS1 but since I didn't recognize any characters I quickly dismissed it. The game was pointless.
EDIT - Let me correct myself, there were 3 games. SamSHo 64, Warriors Rage & Warriors Rage II.
