did you open your ports on your router?
I followed the directions on portforward.com

The only thing i'm not sure about is if I have a static IP properly set-up.

Also, does it matter if there are multiple computers on the network?

well, if you don't have a static IP, then when you forward your ports it might not go to the right computer. i have a dynamic one but i just change it all the time.

Or you can try enabling UPnP. I don't know if GGPO supports it but it should. The other things to check are firewalls and spyware blockers...

Having multiple computers doesn't matter, I have 5 connected to mine as well as some gaming systems.
Throw me a friend request, Beef. I'll play Gears any night after 9pm.
I should be home soon, so I shall do just that.

JEKKI, I'll check my stash and get back to u this week.

And DAMNNN

My name must get around... KOF XII developers and US publisher contacted me today, had a very good meeting.... Something is in the works ya'll.

I'll keep my CAG FGT homies in the loop for sure!

They need to do something with KoF XII to become more accepted in the states. The KoF series has always been overshadowed by Capcom titles. I'm sure the new higher res sprites will attract some people, but SFIV has already gone 3D.

I know most everyone in the FGT are looking forward to SSFIITHDR but I was wondering, what is your ceiling you're willing to pay for it? I really don't want to pay more than $15 but all this talk about $20 had me thinking if I'd be willing to pay that much for it. I probably would if the community is still good by the time Christmas break rolls around but that is my absolute max.

I'd be buying a points card just for it so I'd like to be able to get two good XBLA games with it.
SSFIIHDR for 800 points would allow me to pick up Rez HD along with it. I know it's going to be at least 1200 though. I can feel it. Things are tight so I need to pick and choose what I buy wisely.

So I was thinking about getting back into VF5 again soon. I have really only used Brad Burns, who should I try to pick up next.

If you're open to a Pro-Wrestler, you can't go wrong with Wolf Hawkfield. Giant Swing and Frankensteiner ring outs, three and outing with the Back Body Drop......Good times.....I wish I didn't completely finish VF5's Quest mode....:cry::cry:
Is Virtua Fighter PS3 worth picking up even though it doesn't have online and such?
Racked up 30 hours with the Quest mode and I have no online(I have Live Silver) or local challengers. I played it until I COMPLETELY finished the Quest mode. I think it's my favorite fighting game since Dead or Alive: Ultimate.

capcom once again contacted me... seems they want a video of my Little Big Planet level... gotta jump on that ASAP... as if I don't have enough things to do already... (ie. 50 millions things >_
Re: KOF XII

Oh, there is something alright... You'll all see soon.

It'll be a big bang. ;)
Oh Markman and your ambiguity.

I love it.
I'll check it out then, since it's so cheap.

I have a 360 too. Is it worth fighting the controller for that version?
I used the 360 controller's stick and had the difficulty set to "Hard" and it balanced out quite nicely. It takes a little getting used to and it's not as responsive as a D-pad, but it's at least serviceable. Getting all 1000 Gamerscore points in VF5 gave me the biggest sense of pride since Tomb Raider: Legend. I loved it.

For those of you who haven't heard, the NXE update for the 360 goes live at 2 A.M. PST. I'll (hopefully) be doing live play-by-play and hands-on impressions for NXE on my Twitter. I've got three people crashing on my couch:)drool::drool::drool:) so I'm not sure if I will be able to do it this evening or if I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Confirmed Gameplay Features

Heat Gauge
- Equivalent to Tension Gauge, broken into quarters on screen.
Barrier Gauge - Used to power your "Barrier", which is equivalent to Faultless Defense. Gradually regenerates after using.
Barrier Crush - When Barrier Gauge hits 0, it is temporarily disabled and you will take extra damage until it comes back.
Barrier Burst - Equivalent to Bursts. Knocks enemy away and reduces your Barrier Gauge to 0, but temporarily raises your attack. Done by pressing all 4 buttons, and can only be used once per round.
Distortion Drives - Overdrives/Super Moves, uses 50% Heat Gauge.
Drive Button - Allows each character to perform a special action specific to that character, and is very important to how that character plays.
Rapid Cancel - Equivalent to Roman Cancels. Takes 50% Heat Gauge and is preformed by pressing Weak+Med+Strong.
Counter Assault - Equivalent to Dead Angle. Takes 50% Heat Gauge and is preformed by pushing forward+Weak+Med while guarding.
Throw/Throw Break - Done by pressing (Backward/Forward +) Weak+Med.
-> All throws are comboable in BB, including 360s and supers (which should probably be fixed, at least for supers). All are more easily techable if they are comboed.
-> Throw breaks are easier than in GG.

Recovery - Just like recovery in GG, except you can also do a "roll recover" when knocked from the air to the ground.

Guilty Gear HD

Wanted to make kazuya but no hair so this:

So, what system are you sons gettin' that SFII HD for? I still haven't decided myself, but if the two versions were identical (hypothetically, of course), I'd probably pick up the one for the system with more important people playing on it. Markman doesn't count - he's already got it for both systems and he'll totally be sick of the game by the time us scrubs get our chance :(

Oh, and the 360 got that silly XEN XNE ENX EXN whatever the fuck it was called update, didn't it? I'm gonna download that this morning and try to make an avatar dude who doesn't look like he's in the process of getting his ass sucked on by Jiminy Glick. I don't know if it's possible - Rare designed this shit, so of course, it looks absolutely retarded.

That company needs some lovin' from Chapter 7.

same as chac... can't decide on what system to get it for... I'll be going mostly to whatever fighter thread people get, but possibly both consoles since I have a ton of credit on both.

still don't know what to think of the NXE... really don't like the avatar crap to be honest.

also apparently UNO is getting a new theme pack of SFIIHD cards... >_
