I know you said you don't FADC, but have you done Abel's Hard Trial 4? I can do it up to the qcf + k and 523 + p. I know how to do it but I just don't seem to be quick enough to catch him before he hits the ground. Any tips?

I haven't got that far on Abel's Hard Trials.

What combo is it? Is it canceling his Cr.Hp ---> LK Marseilles Roll xx LP Falling Sky? Is that the full combo?
 
do the roll into air grab in one motion... you can't do them separately... (don't do the roll, wait to see if you roll, then try the grab)...

It comes out faster if you roll the moves into each other... recover/active window is way different.

That's not the full combo but it's the end of it. The full combo is c.MP -> light change of direction (first hit) -> FADC -> c.HP -> light roll -> falling sky

I can do it perfectly until the light roll -> falling sky

The roll to falling sky has to be done in one motion. I used to see people do it in the arcade and couldn't figure it out until a friend of mine that is a beast with Abel showed me the motion for it. If you do it right, it should look like Abel barely rolls and then grabs the opponent out of the air.
 
Yay! I got passed it! I lost track of how many times I accidentally did it into a super instead of falling sky!

But now... umm... they want me to do what?

Yea... no... I have a hard enough time as it is with the first three steps, sometimes I get it and sometimes I don't no matter how fast I do it. I'll do it at a later date.
 
oh man that abel Hard 5 was misery. I found it easier for me to complete when i treated the -> MK and FADC portions like sonic booms...


Hold -> then shake the stick very quickly +MK. Abel will automatically dash after the MK.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try it at a later date. I went into survival and forgot how to fight after trying to do the trial for so long. :lol:
 
haha now I'm stuck on Abel Hard Trial 4.

I can do the Cr.HP--->Roll--->Falling Sky easily by itself, why is it I can't in that combo :)

With the Roll xx Falling Sky, I just start the motion of the Roll in between the first and second hit of the Cr.Hp. Seems to come out fine....not in this instance

EDIT: Also I know some of you were interested in it, but GGXX Accent Core Plus is out this week for PS2. If I'm not mistaken all the same shit as XXAC but added 2 boss characters and Story Mode. Gameplay is unchanged (right Smallwind?)

From what I've heard and personally played of the Japanese version, yeah this pretty much sums it up. Justice is so powerful and fun to play as. :)

I'm tempted to pick it up, but that's really all that's new.

Oh, and I have a Tekken 5 stick to mod now. Thanks for the deal, Chac! :)

I started the motion the minute after I saw the second hit of the c.HP and then during the Roll did the falling sky. It kept registering it as qcf x2 though so I kept doing the super on accident. :lol:
 
I have the PS2/PSP version of Accent Core Plus right now... I'll check on the differences(probably lazy to see myself, so I'll just ask) lol..
 
Anyone ever run into a good Sim player? I've seen vids n all, and if you get the right guy to play him, that guy is fken trouble. I'm amazed at how dangerous that guy can actually be.

I can do 5/7 moves on Cammy's final hard trial. For whatever reason. I can't figure how to EX cancel after a cannon spike for a 2nd time. :| It sucks because I'm so close. >_<

And FYI, After you EX cancel dash forward for the first time, let dan hang in the air for a half second. If you cannon spike right after you dash forward, you'll miss him completely.
 
Ooh, Looks like I found out something else to do with cammy.

This is an alternate version for Spiral Arrow. 1237+k. Dunno if its useful or not since her original move for SA is 236+k. I found out about it when I did her dive kick the opposite way.
 
I've seen that video. If I can actually execute the EX cancel the 2nd time, I know I have to dash backward. For whatever reason it's not always registering. :\
 
UMBC game night as a blast.. if any of you are around the Maryland on a Wednesday night, that's the place to be for fighting games. Basically, my buddy from work, his buddy, and myself took turns wiping the floor with our Ryu, Zangief, and Blanka (respectively). No one could touch us... there was this one Akuma who put a very fierce win streak on but my Blanka took him out without any problem.. then the next match my buddy's Ryu hands my ass to me. It's so weird playing against someone new in contrast to someone you play against every day. When it's him vs. me, we'll go back and forth all night and end up pretty even, but when other people come to play us.. we usually have no trouble taking them out. So weird...

You should wait a bit on the second cannon strike then, if you do it too early it still hits but she's off the ground, meaning you can't fadc.

Those Fuerte matches were some of the funniest I've ever had though.

Annoying that I have to take time off from work/class to get this shit fixed. fuck you San Francisco.

that happened to me earlier this month. sucks like h***, hopefully that culprit chokes on prison d*** some day. hopefully, you have home/renters insurance should cover all the stolen goods inside the car. if you got a credit card or personal information stolen call up the 3 major credit bureaus to put it on fraud alert or something.

Good thing for me I really keep nothing of value in my car. The only things that were in my car were burned mix CD's, 3 actual CD's, some empty water bottles and my friend's car keys. The only thing the thief did steal was about $10-13 worth of change I had in my car :)

Made a hell of a mess though. Having to vacuum up all the broken glass at 2am when I had to be in class/work by 7 was a little annoying. Had to call out at my evening job because this is the only time I have to get my window fixed before my trip to L.A next weekend.

Lucky for me I don't bring my Zune with me unless I'm traveling over 3 hours :)
 
Damn, suck ass AXC.

Before my car died, I only kept burned MP3 CDs in it. Nothing else of value. I always took my car stereo's faceplate off too, so if some jackass wanted to steal it, he'd have to find another.
 
asianxcore, becareful when cleaning up when I was cleaning up I guess I opened the door in a wrong fashion (?) and a glass shard go stuck inside the door panels latch, after that I couldn't open my driver's side door (lol). if its just your window that got busted up...I think its better if you don't file a claim (assuming the deductible is around 500), I think you can fix the glass anywhere between 200-400 bucks.

Thanks guys! Lucky for me my evening job was more than happy to move my shift to tomorrow, so I won't be losing a day of work there.

Wasn't worth calling insurance because the cost to fix the window was under $100. Still annoying as I'm going to L.A next week with my g/f & one of my best friends, rather have that money there.

I'm down for games tonight with anyone who wants to play SFIV. I'll be at work tomorrow now and leaving for the SFIV Party/4v4 after work, so tonight is my last night to get some decent practice in :)
 
Just a heads up for anyone here who was anticipating (like myself) the PS2/JPN release of Arcana Heart 2.....

Word is on SRK that the game is not only a version behind but has slowdown/lag (even on Normal Moves).
