Hey this thread is about fighting games not crappy brawlers/whatever featuring Tekken characters. God death by degrees was one of the WORST game I ever laid my eyes on. It rivals Big Rigs.

It's all good. I usually check out who is online when I want to play SFIV. Mostly because I'd rather play dudes I know over randoms.

I bought books 1-3 while out shopping with my girlfriend last Saturday. In about 6 days I read through books 1-3. Prisoner of Azkaban was rad.

Started the first couple chapters of Goblet Of Fire today. Going used book shopping with a friend tomorrow in hopes in getting books 5 and 6 (hardcover) on the cheap.

Hope to get through book 6 before the movie comes out July 15th.
 
never could get into the Harry Potter books but of the 2 movies I've seen it's definitly good stuff and makes sense why people like it.

in other news... um... any thoughts on PSP Go?


I oddly hope this means I can download Tekken 6 onto it.
 
No UMD for me means less shit to carry and smaller means better. Insta buy for me, but this is coming from a guy who basically survived all of last semester and the semester before due to the PSP and long bus/metro rail rides.
 
Eh, not a big fan of DD so I will have a wait and see approach of the PSP Go. The cost of games would have to be at least half of what they are now for me, and even then odds are I would buy a disc copy if one was out.
 
most of CAG is against DD, which makes sense due to the amount of selling and trading that goes on. Sure it hurts what most CAGs do, but I think it's something that needs to be supported weather it's good or bad for you.

I love digital distribution (wasn't sure about it before Live Arcade, but I've been sold on it ever since I got a 360) and everyone else will when MvC2 comes out on Live. :cool:

In regards to the PSP Go though, in the great words of Hall and Oates (or De La Soul if you prefer), Say No Go. I haven't seen anything that makes it necessary for me to buy it. No second analog? No thanks.

Why would you even think of supporting something that's bad for you?
 
Well I don't sell or trade anything so a resale value means nothing to me. Its more about having a real since of ownership on something I buy. Sure I have bought DD before. It's really still in its baby steps for games though so that is why I will have to wait and see about it. I was not to fond of the idea of going from carts to cds back in the day ether but that turned out ok. I will really have to see how it is handled before I can really judge it.

I'm a dood with not a lot of space, have 3 huge crates full of CDs, a whole shelf full of video games, anything new I buy goes on the floor.

the huge huge huge problem that can affect PSP Go would be if it pulls a DSi on us, i.e. region lock downloadable software

you want some? Change of gaming sale structures, death of gamestop, better influx of games developed by a wider range of companies due to easier console access even down to the indie dev (look at iPhone).

I know everyone right now is looking at it negatively, but I think it reaches even further than what I stated, sure be against the idea but do understand how important this can and could be. 10 years from now this may really have done alot for the industry... XBLA already shifted acceptance for DD games, so this will push it further.

then again this all could go downhill, but it seems like anything too different on the internet is associated with negativity... :(

Those are actually pretty good reasons, as long as sales like PSN/XBLA and amazon does continue, I'll be content. That is, dssuming games will already get a price drop since they're no longer physical, of course.

Probably the most initial benefit to CAGs is that UMD games will probably drop in price alot faster now since they will be selling alot slower.
 
I would be fine with DD if there are multiple distributors. It would be a shame if it was monopolized by sony and microsoft. Though it's good to have amazon selling XBLA games, hopefully PSN will follow suite.

The PSP Go honestly has me intrigued, but I'll most likely pass.

Speaking of DD, I bought MediEvil on PSN today cause I had nothing to play cause my Xbox keeps freezing :cry:

:lol: I can't remember if it's good... just remember you can play it on ur PSP.

I have KoF99 and SFA1 on my PSP/PS3... decent games that only suck because the loading times :(

Tekken 2 is great though... also got a cheap $3 syphon filter I dont want to play and Suikoden.
 
Can't play Tekken 2 these days. Tekken 1 and 2 have not aged well at all, IMO.

I feel that Virtua Fighter 2 has aged much better than Tekken 2, although I prefer the Tekken series to VF.
 
GG's to HeavyD. It's always fun playing against you. Though I don't we've played SFIV in a really long time. Didn't realize it was almost 3am and forgot I had to be in Berkeley tomorrow.

haha pretty much. When you hit me with it, I said to myself "Well there goes that round"

I agree, it's pretty insane how much Seth can dictate the pace of a match because of his strong zoning options and his BnB's. Headstomps from anything is pretty funny :)'

Your mixups with Ken get annoying though. I keep looking for the Kara and then get hit with something else. Then I block everything else and don't react fast enough to the Kara haha
