I also think Ryu's Super is pretty broken, it's ultra fast, ultra safe, you can anti-air DP and connect with it for like 50% life.
I hate how the DP trades with almost everything, also how low it hits. Regular DP/EX DP will cancel just about any move/super/ultra. Matter fact, I just hate Ryu lol. DP > Ultra/Super pisses me off. I can be in the biggest lead and still lose against him.

I've played over a thousand games against my friends Ryu and it's pretty much 50/50 chance win. He uses all top tier characters and I main all lower tiers. At competitive level, that shit really does matter. Oh yeah, nice Daigo ending. Can't wait til next years EVO.

I bought a copy of SFIV for the 360 today. Already have one for my PS3, which is where most of my play lies.

Couldn't pass up getting a 360 version to go with my new stick. Paid like $9 after trades at TRU for the SFIV on 360.

If anyone wants to play hit me up. My membership is good until November and I'll probably renew it.

New Fight Stick, new pads

Pad characters: Viper, Bison, Cammy, Guile, Sagat and Zangief
Nice. I think I'm so done giving Capcom my money for SFIV related stuff.

So far 2 SFIV TE's (PS3, Xbox 360) and 2 copies of the game (PS3, Xbox 360). Hopefully the production and distribution will be a little better for these this time around. The first run was plagued with button/wiring issues and obviously being ridiculously hard to find in stores. It would be nice for people who actually want these to go out and get them without hassle.
Ryu has some absolutely stupid combos that are easy to do, cr mp cr mp cr mk Rh tatsu? Why not! 300 damage! -_-
haha agreed. Also I have to throw in that cr.MK comes out way too good.

I don't know about fully nerfing Ryu as Capcom coming in and fixing a lot of the little things. Fixing the recovery on trades would avoid eating Sagat or Ryu's Ultra for free.

Getting AA Ultra'ed doesn't bother me too much mostly because my main game is CVS2. When I first learned that game I was taught that jumping too much gets you killed quick in that game and it always stuck with me.
I'm in favor of nerfing Ryu, does anybody's opinion differ?
the other thing is that there's only 2 or 3 good ryus that i've heard about: valle, daigo, momochi.

like people here use him a lot but no one's really super good. i don't think anyone at AI mains ryu.

i think ryu is fine, just annoying. i tried maining him but i play my shotos SF2 style and i DP every jump in, which is not a good idea in SF4 because of the crazy moon jumps

Played Tekken 6 for the first time yesterday. Got my ass handed to me (of course)

Been buying lots of Import fighters mainly for PS2. So far I got Basara X, Sunsoft Fighting Collection, Savage Reign Collection, Shin Goketsuji Ichizoku: Bonno Kaiho, Tobal 2 & Marvel Super Heroes for the Saturn. Still trying to find a cheap copy of Rumble Fish, Hokuto no Ken, & Melty Blood.

From http://sdtekken.com

Whoa... we got boxart CONFIRMED!
added you on xbl asianxcore. lets get some abel mirror matches =D
I was wondering who sent me a Friend Request :)

Rodimus, if you are going to get Melty Blood you might as well get MB: Actress Again.

I'm in the same boat as you. I still need to get Sengoku Basara X, Rumble Fish and Melty Blood Actress Again for my PS2 Fighter Collection.

I suck at Tekken but I'm still excited for it. Put down my pre-order at a new Gamestop near my house over the weekend.

Regular or stick bundle?

Hey guys, I just ordered my first newish fighting game last night (last was Tekken 5 for PS2), and I'm a bit curious how online multiplayer works. I assume, like all other console online games, that one of the players acts as the host? Unlike games with 8+ players, wouldn't this give a hugely unfair advantage to that player? Or do fighting games work a lot different than, say, shooters? From what I hear, most fighters run pretty damn smooth online, so I guess I'm just wondering...how?

Soul Calibur 4 online doesnt work. period.

anyway, Continum Shift. yay!!
first post, yay:)

no one really knows.

but everyone thinks you can drop GGPO netcode into any game and it'll be like NO LAG OMG.

actually i don't think there's a host, host advantage would be too good and we'd be able to detect it. i think it's more of a p2p thing.
Regular or stick bundle?
Regular. As I told my girlfriend last weekend, I don't think I need anymore sticks :)

So far I have:

-PSX/PS2 Happ Custom
-HRAP2 SA (PSX/PS2)
-T5 PSX/PS2 Full Sanwa-Modded
-SFIV Femme Fatale TE (PS3)
-SFIV TE (Xbox 360)
-Agetec "Green Goblin" (DC)

At this point I think all that I will be in the market for would be 1 Xconverters (PSX---Xbox 360), and 2 each of PSX---DC and PSX---Saturn converters.

It's good to see another iteration of Blazblue, but whats with Arc System and their need to completely nullify previous iterations of their games (that haven't even been out a year yet)
My PSTriple is online-capable again! SF4 NAO.
Woo!! Hit me up. I have it for both consoles now.

JEKKI, rad video. Sanford Kelly making Dan look mad buff. Also SoCal and NorCal are fob central, you are crazy!

Frank West is so random in TvC. It definitely brings the hilarity factor.

I'll probably hold onto my import copy and try to get the US release cheap cheap cheap.

yeay we're fob central, but none of them play street fighter.

the best u got is asians sounding black.

the only fob I ever knew was jenith, and he didnt even play street fighter

Next time I see you online, we'll battle. I'm so rusty in both SF4 and Mahvel.
