Wait, pro Yu-Gi-Oh?
Yeah. I started out in playing Casual is HS, but lately I've been playing it on Pro Level almost akin to Pro Magic, only there's no real cash prizes Pros have to find ways to circumvent that. Me personally I buy / sell / trade to make money off of it. Started out a few hundred in the hole, but I've been digging out of it and now I make a small profit from it. My biggest prize to date was winning a PSP Phat off some dude :]
No, you should most certainly not be playing yu gi oh, competitive or otherwise.
Legendary leads you down a corridor as rubble falls in a convenient path. Then you're forced into a sewer to shoot monsters that do nothing but run at you.
It's more 1996 of a game than resistance 2.
Quake1 had more fun level design and better monsters.
Stop playing bad games. No excuses. Re-play and love a good game before sinking to playing legendary for god's sake.
It's not like there's a shortage of good things to play.
Oh that's right. You're a ps3 guy. Explains everything. Carry on.

And why not? If you're gonna shit on my hobby, I might have to point that you waste your life on Video Games that do nothing for you while you sink tons of money into it.
I guess you're in some kind of "I hate video games" phase right now. I really don't see the need to post this, but if you insist. This is just how I see it, meaning I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
One is a common hobby amongst young males that is socially acceptable.
The other is a trading card game for kids based off of a kids TV show. Most would see it as socially awkward.
Oh, so you make a living off of Yu-Gi-Oh cards?
Most people do their hobbies for fun and use extra money from their day jobs to afford it during their leisure time. Most hobbies do cost money.
No disrespect, but you're probably on the wrong website for trying to make claims against playing video games.
Naw I love Video Games, always have, always will. and if you spend $10 a year on them or $1000 on them that's your choice and I'm cool with that either way.
My problem was with Jer coming at my hobby from outta the blue. Just sorta pointing out that its the ole "kettle calling the pot black" ordeal. Only the Kettle's ing worthless, while the Pot actually serves some sorta usefulness.
Maybe your problems with me I take it? Idk I tend to get under people's skin and I know I had most of the OTT crew hating me at some point.
Oh I don't make a living off of it, I just get a bit of cash here & there. I prob ave around $50-70 a week.

Dude comes at everything from 'out of the blue.' I don't know that I've seen him do anything but piss and moan about everything, all the time.
Yu Gi Oh? Hell, you make more money with that 'hobby' than I do with roller derby, and I consider myself a professional at that. So...yeah. I mean, as long as you're not slangin' dope or blowin' dudes, money's money, no?
It's an SRPG, lite on the RPG. It's pretty original since you control your characters in real time; I can't really compare it to anything else.
The demo was interesting, but I'm not sure if it's worth 60.00

Guess I'll be finishing Disgaea with less grinding than I feared. Only three more stages to go! Should be able to wrap it up tonight. Now that I know how badass the green Prinny is, the plush on Rosenqueen is tempting.

Yep. Initial reactions to the game:
1) Pre~tty!
2) The hell kinda game is this supposed to be!?!?!?!
My reactions were similar after trying the demo. Sega had some rough competition this past fall, and their marketing strategy wasn't to help sell a new and unique game as new and unique, but to sell "HEY KIDZ! SONIC'S A WEREWORF GRAWWWWR!"
Not a terrible idea (but a terrible ad and the company that pitched or produced it should die in the ad industry), but some reallocation of funds to market VC might have helped some.
But, hey, them's the breaks. Sega may not turn a profit on this one, and they may not see fit to develop a sequel.

That's another reason I wouldn't drop 60.00 on it.
I can see this one going to 40.00 in the next couple months.
No.
Why no? You haven't even meant me in reality to judge how I am. Most of my friends can say I'm actually pretty social and enjoy being around them when I'm not busy with stuff. I mean, I next to never talk about gaming in reality and more of a sports guy (kind of like my pictures show). I just leave my gaming discussions/debates to forums.
if i get into the college of my choice then ill be moving to San Antonio, TX
Let's just say I've seen some jobs there, but I'd most likely end up near Dallas, TX if anything.
Anyway, last night I played some Crash Commando. Pretty fun and glad I finally got the "Hacker" trophy in the game (where I have to take the data out of 10 computers and take it to base). Next up I need to bomb 10 bases.
That's a lotta Fable dislike for a game that was roundly praised. Huh.
When you play it (whether you start it now, or sometime after Fallout, let me know what you think. I was wanting to like it. Picked it up because of the two-player sandbox type play that was available. But it really wasn't terribly inducive to two-player (many narrow paths where one player gets kinda squeezed out), lots of clipping (on dog, on the other player, on npcs), et cetera. So we wound up playing on our own, and its still amazingly lame.
The speech ...is. .S. .l . o. w. and. you ..wait ..for. peo.ple. to ..just hu.rry... up. and finis.h.. and the story is really shallow and lacking (just VERY contrived). Every item you find (chest, dig up) is a gold bag or some stupid ring or potion (except for in a couple dive spots, I never found a weapon). The female character looks heinous if you add any physical attributes or speed (she gets laughably tall), the clothes (the few of them there are) all make her look like some fat old granny. And after the spire thing, which you're in there for ten years... You come out and it's autumn (oohh WOW!!!), but still the vendors are selling the exact same clothes and items! And the spire mission was so lame, jaeli and I just looked at each other with disbelief. Youre supposed to be a hero, right? ugh.
Myke, play it. I hope everyone enjoys it, including you. But I found it SO friggen lame. Peter was all, this fixes all teh problems of Fable (1). Not so much, it fixed some and created all new ones.
Is blue dragon worth ten bucks?
If you have nothing else to play, if you enjoy turn based rpgs, if you enjoy the character design, if you like to collect games for the sake of having them sitting on your shelves. If any of those is yes, then pick it up if you have an extra $10 that couldn't be better spent.
I believe Ar Tonelico 2 is being sold with the book and soundtrack in the initial print run.
Would someone please buy my Ar Tonelico book pleeeeeeeeease?
As for Valkyria being $40, you never know. The game is getting a lot harder to find (and I doubt Sega will ship anymore copies). It might drop to $40 at some places, but may be hard to find. I was lucky to spot 4 copies of Valkyria Chronicles for $30 at Wal-Mart (the deal was YMMV) and considered picking them up for people I know, wasn't carrying much cash in my wallet. When I went back to Wal-Mart last week, they were out.
I actually enjoyed the Sonic Unleashed demo and I definitely plan to buy the game. I'm okay with the QTE while flying.
Speaking of Ar Tonelico 2, I really want the game, but not sure if I will buy. I really enjoyed the first Ar Tonelico, but never finished it. I kind of question whether I'd play the 2nd, since I rarely play PS2 or any non-next gen platforms these days (which is partially why I didn't pick up P4 yet, although I definitely believe it rocks).
Mana, just out of curiosity do you have any avatars planned out and ready to go? Like for 2/23, do you have a picture of a Helghast soldier sitting in a folder on your computer, just waiting to be used?
If Fable 2 is that short I might give it a go; just 3 more chapters to finish off Dead Space on Impossible.
I want to get into Fallout 3, but like my let-me-constantly-remind-you-I'm-a-soon-to-be-phd-drink-fine-beer-and-am-cooler-than-you compatriot dmaul, I'm suffering from that sweet love hangover of Oblivion. I need a break from that style of play, if only for a little bit.
Plus, after all the menu-based traveling in Oblivion, there was this sense of incredulity when I booted up Fallout. "The **, man? You want me to WALK THERE!?!?!?!"
walking places is super fun in fallout 3, though. you'll come across a can of beans, beat up a skinless dog, shoot some giant bees, and drink some dirty water in the 30 minute adventure to kill one person.
well, the can of beans/box of twinkies is covered in radiation and makes your vision blurry if you eat too much. i think they eat cans in the post apocalyptic era, too.
oh, yeah, you can steal bottle caps from a traveler, then leave a grenade in their pocket. if that isn't next gen gaming, i don't know what is. :[

Speaking of Fable 2, I forgot that the DLC came out today. I'll probably get it later and play it some more. I just wish it included another gender changing potion... I want my girl back.
There is one in the game (I believe in a crypt in the cemetary). But perhaps you found it already.
Well since I'm looking for another one, lets assume I found it already.
And it's actually in
