I played on Normal and my head almost exploded on the final boss. He was just fucking ridiculous and totally ruined the game for me. I don't think I'll ever go back to it.
 
Forgot to mention GG in SSF4 AE Uraizen. Despite the distance the online play wasn't too bad, but I fear if we played anything other than AE it won't go as well.

Yeah, I'm done with Shattered Dimensions. There is no way I can put up with any more of the Noir gameplay.

Deus Ex: HR is getting some pretty good reviews. It's a shame I need to hold off to save for my PC and the fall game releases...

I would if it wasn't filled with anime girls. I don't mind the art style so much as its content. It seems like they're doing everything else right though with ggpo and a cool fighting system

I don't recall having much of an issue with the final boss of Shank (normal). Might have died a couple of times but nothing enraging.

Not anymore sadly, Kansas these days. I don't think it's a problem with where I live but them just not offering RDD. They aren't offering it on MGS HD Collection, UMvC3, or DR2: off the Record.

KOFXIII will be fun as hell, even if I end up beating up the AI all day due to shitty netcode.

Dawg, Green Man Gaming had it for $34 and can be used for Steam. I'm a slut for fighting games, so KoFXIII is on that pre-order.

I have to admit even if the online is terrible which more than likely it will be I'll still play it online anyway.

On another note I started Vanquish last night. I should have started it sooner because its amazing. :drool:

really dislike the character design and art direction as well, it seems very try-hard
 
SNK lost my interest for fighters when it went to KoF. I was always partial to SamSho myself. Fatal Fury was okay, but I wasn't big on it. Loved SamSho 1 and 2... 3 wasn't bad from my experience... but they dropped them mostly and moved on to focus on KoF, so I haven't played a SNK fighter since I tried KoF12 or whatever it was and brought it back after 5 minutes.

What's great about the Skullgirls game is they're doing everything a fighting game lover would do if they created a game, I believe.
GGPO, small roster full of really differentiated characters, they even have HITBOX data viewable in training mode.
I LOATHE the artstyle. Absolutely wretched, at least the girl with the giant arms on her head... but after watching other trailers, I'm a bit more intrigued and want to support the devs.

Highlights include but are not limited to:
-A training mode with cool features like save state and hitbox display
-Discussion on future plans regarding tutorial and A.I. design
-One unified, canon story similar to Blazblue (a separate story mode I assume) but with non-canon endings in the arcade mode
-8 characters at launch.

You should really check out KoFXI for PS2. It can be had for like 5 bucks at a bunch of places (TRU, Five Below) and is really really good.

I'm a Fatal Fury fan myself, so I was also saddened when they dropped that after Garou. Also KoF XII was horrible. Don't use that to judge things.

Yeah, they claim they were trying to slow down the amount of rushdown -- however, watching footage, it's hard to see that when it looks like everyone has less health and XF nerfs haven't really done much. A lot of the new characters seem like they *can* play "lame" [hate that term], especially Strange.
