Blue Scrote, I know you're the only other one who cares, but unfortunately Hi-Rez has ruined the Tribes franchise:

No beacons, insta base repair, health regen, no sensor gardens, no cameras, no portable inv, hitscan weapons (biggie!), spawn in gear, inventory & vehicle stations are non-destructable, jetpack is weak in comparison to T1/T2/TV, mortar reticle doesn't show range (TL useless), no JUMP button, can only bring 3 purchased loadouts into each game, good lord, I can go on and on and on. It's not Tribes...it's a nerfed version of COD/HALO/BF3 with jetpacks.

They're getting torn apart on their own community boards and ignoring everything, though some employees have asked users to stop trash-talking the game since their salaries depend on its success (they said that).

The new Counter-Strike is PC's last stand, and I have no hopes for it.

Weak jetpack, no jump, and nondestructable stations is awful.

Good god that sounds awful. I have very low hopes for the new CS since it sounds like the direction their going in is console friendly.
 
Man, Batman's combat is still super satisfying. The game is quite overwhelming at first, but it seems like it's gonna be awesome in the long run.

Are you guys still skypan? I might hop on for a little while, but I'm pretty tired.

CAG's resident playtester (OTT regular sneakypenguin) said that it would take 40-50 hours to 100% and that he'd played and beaten it more than 30 times and it was *still* good, that people should buy it immediately.

Only can carry 2 weapons based on pre-determined class loadouts that you can either buy with real money or unlock through earned points.

2 weapon loadout....in a Tribes game...:roll:

The whole world is telling them they're going to go bankrupt with this game and they entirely ignore the complaints. Global Agenda bombed when they didn't listen, and now they're going to finish off the Tribes name for good.
 
yeah... the whole point of the heavy class was so you could carry every possible weapon you would want for any given situation. I never played vengeance besides the demo---how bad was that one?

So...Arkham City is a game that's not as long as advertised. Going for 100% might take 25 hours, but the campaign sure as heck doesn't hit 10 if you're going straight through. I kinda feel overwhelmed the entire game to be honest. It just seems like everything kinda goes like a tenth of a step too far. It's not aggravating (except 1 part in which I was left confused as hell), but sort of unsettling.

Still, a worthy purchase for anyone. Campaign is definitely miles above Gears 3 since it answers everything.
 
Made good progress through hard mode in AA last night. I actually had less trouble than on normal in some of the parts.

Oh yeah, that's right! And Trenched was awesome. We crushed that game in one night. I think that's my favorite XBLA game of the year so far.

So yeah, 3 games in the span of a year. I'm not about to get greedy.
 
Of course I'm not going to buy it, unless it was super cheap (like I missed out on). Just for Raziel and Prism, though. Not buying the game.
