My TV reset itself last night to factory default settings. I hate my TV, but I'm still hesitant to pull the trigger because I graduate Spring of 2013 with my third degree and have ZERO plans to stay here. Moving that sucker would be annoying as

. I plan to take my PC, monitor, consoles and games with me. All pretty small items, but a 37 inch TV? Ugh. I'm too much of a bitch to just pull the trigger on a high price item, too.
Ok, there's my mini-rant.
Sounds like it, yes.
37" TV would be sent to you via UPS, as it's still small enough and light enough to not exceed UPS/FedEx Ground shipping limits.
Keep the box, pack the TV back in the box, and if it gets screwed up in shipment, you can take UPS/FedEx to town (assuming you insure the shipment, of course) because it's an original shipping box and meets their requirements for protection for the TV.
If it's something you're worried about it, pack it in the car and drive it to your new location.
You could just save the box and have it shipped to your new location when you move.
Just a suggestion.
Gee, that sounds familiar.
I'd be scared of what condition it would arrive in.
Hopefully not broken.
I wouldn't suggest shipping anything that could be broken, my friend shipped his PC from NY to WA when he came to college and even though he packed that thing like crazy the shipping company still managed to totally destroy part of his computer. The pins on the CPU were bent so it was unusable, and I think his GPU might have had issues too. Luckily whatever the company was (UPS maybe?) ended up giving him money since it was insured so he was able to replace the stuff, but it was still a hassle. Then when he went back home after college was over he shipped his PC again from WA to NY, same company, and somehow they destroyed his computer again, but they did pay for it again, and he ended up just getting a mac mini since he wanted to start doing some iphone development.
It sounds like the American Tourister gorilla that tested furniture moved on to UPS/FedEx. If you pack it in the original boxes, it shouldn't be an issue with getting damaged in shipment. Otherwise, it's up for debate if it'll survive the trip or not.
