My favorite version of MGS3 is the 3DS version because it's unplayable.
And because the 3D is sweet.
3D makes everything better, even the controls.
How much of that time was spent grinding?
Waaaaaay too much. Zee grind with crappy graphics, OMG why do I play such a game?
That game is like 45% randomly generated dungeon grinding, 5% demon fusing, and 50% hanging out with people and story. So probably around 18 hours.
I spend too much time on Persona Fusing and leveling. Even still got time to play High School Simulator.
Just took a look at a gameplay video and I disagree.

Grinding has negative implications to it, but I guess you could call it that. The combat isn't all that interesting 90% of the time, but it looks good, is fairly painless, and tosses some nasty surprises at you every so often. Plus it rewards you plenty for spending time there, so you come back feeling accomplished.
Or your entire party gets randomly one shotted and you lose all your progress -_-
I can agree with the combat being super simple, but it has been awhile since I have played a simple RPG with some awesome pokemons.
Saving at every point it is kind of a must when traversing Tartus.
The art is also just too damn good. Whereas most anime/japanese cartoon art really has no style, Shuji Sogabe just knows how to make everything look damn cool. Makes me kind of excited for Persona 4 Arena, the game that no self respecting person would play.
