The first Darksiders was the most boring game I've ever seen sitting in a roomate's collection so I played for an hour or so and gave up on then mocked on CAG even though I didn't really give it a fair try.

Which, I'll admit, is a pretty narrow category, but still. Shit did nothing for me, yo.

Oh at how everyone laughed at capcom for not creating new material and re-releasing the same editions but putting some new adjective(Big word probably used it wrong) in front of the title and charged $60! Who's laughing now?

It's like telling the government to agree on the budget. Stubborn f*cks would rather fall off the fiscal cliff than compromise on financial realities.

But actually, that's kind of the mantra of gaming's future, isn't it? We've hit a plateau of graphic and CPU capability that means the next gen of consoles isn't going to "wow" us like the previous generation did. What's going to drive gaming? Right now, it's become a touchpad/tablet world thanks to smartphones and the iPad.

Looks like we may be heading into another gaming rescession. We'll see....

Pretty much. Making games that are actually fun will be the key to succeeding. fuck those touchpad and iPad games. Give me gameplay. G A M E P L A Y!! Stop trying to wow me at every turn and give me games that are fun to play. Companies forget what got them to where they are today.

BTW, the reason I prefer PC isn't because of better graphics, though those are nice It's because I can play most games at 60 FPS. Fluidity is the name of the game.

I don't really have a problem with season passes, since most games that have them use it to offer a discount on legit DLC. Borderlands DLC or COD map packs are just an extra thing to buy if you want them. They aren't part of the main game.

The kind of trend that annoys me is the nickel and diming for things like individual alternate costumes.

Borderlands 2 Season Pass is more than some vanilla calladuty multiplayer map and skin bullshit--it's got missions and phat lewts!

I also paid for SR3 Season Pass and LA Noire Season pass, which was kinda sorta moar story/missions, and those were fun.
 
I didn't buy any Borderlands 2 DLC, but I don't have any real problem with what they did. New quests and characters and what-not are alright by me.

I hope Natural Selection 2 gets DLC so every god damn zergling that ignores my attack order while his teammates are fighting marines just ten feet away because he doesn't want his god damn KDR to get fucked up is forced to play on different servers.

It's mercifully rare, and the other players will usually call the guy out on it too, but god damn. You are a zergling! Stop pestering people for healing.

He played at Evo and had some nice Dante tech for UMvC3.
He's got my permanent respect for his contributions to Dante in the MvC3 games.
